They didn't show it but one of the jets fly's vertically in the air while the others continue forward. Thats called the Fallen Man tribute. They only do it for fallen political figures or people who died for this country. But that day they did it for Dale Earnhardt.

It is so moving, even for me as a european. Singing the national anthem and seeing those jets. Saying a prayer...etc. Awesome! There is one thing I really like about nascar, and it is patriotism. For me it seems that nascar races -especially Daytona- are like small Woodstock festivals in the modern era. Everybody is happy, having a good time, Last but not least some of the drivers have really good personalities so they can be idols for youngsters.

I would like to taste this feeling live.

@Kordovaner Yeah 100% correct. The beauty of Daytona is the fact that any driver can take 1st place as we saw this year with Trevor Bayne.
