@DaWn0FTheDead Yea it's drop B, you can easily play it on a 6 string by just dropping it, but it'll obviously fuck with you intonation a bit. Then again this song doesnt have that many parts that are high up on the neck, so i guess it doesn't matter :D

Hey man, sweet cover. it's pretty cool how you can play a six string song on a seven. but in the beggining riff after you do the sweet run up the neck what are the notes? i've tried to figure it out and can't, so i just repeat it twice, where you go from the eight fret to the seventh fret. i can't explain it very well so hopefully you get what i mean, haha. rock on.

@Dmania23 I'm not entirely sure i know which part you mean, but if you mean the beggining part where you hammer on/pull of between 2 notes that are 3 half steps apart, then i know. Basically you keep the same pattern but move it up 6 half steps each time. Can't remember which note the guitars start on but i think one of them starts at the seventh fret on the A string. Then you would play

(a string) 7h10p7 to (d string) 8h11p8 to (g string) 9h12p9 to (b string) 11h14p11 hope that helped! =)

That's a tough one, but i think i started out with guns n roses actually, or iron maiden. Just basically played the stuff slowly until i could get it right. If you're learning by yourself, make sure you have someone who plays guitar that can "check up on you" so that you don't learn anything in the wrong way. Another good tip is read a book, like "Rock Guitar Secrets". It takes everything from the beggining, all the theory, warm up excercises, everything.

high is turned up pretty much, but still not to the point where the sound gets way too much treble. Mid turned to the point where you achieve definite presence, without losing the bass too much. Low shouldn't be turned up much at all, it'll drown the tone, just put it up enough to give the sound some depth so it doesn't sound like it's coming from a 5 watt speaker :P

Since all amps are different it's hard to give values but for my spider III i had

low: 1/3 (of max)

mid: 2/3

high: a bit over 2/3

About the tuning, it depends on your taste. If you have 7 strings and you want to play with drop B you'd have to tune every other string (besides the 7th B-string and the high E string) to 2 semitones HIGHER than what they're built for. That means the string tension will get quite high and not everybody likes to play with such a high string tension.

Well it's a Ibanez RG 7321 and it's a nice cheap guitar if you want to get a 7 string, and sure i like it but if you've got money there are definately much better 7 string Ibanez out there
