  • Havent done a very good job in Alabama unlike Verizon during this emergency..

  • It takes AT&T 2-3 Days (1:18~) to get service back up? How about not letting it go down in the first place, o wait that would be disaster preparedness not recovery LOL

  • 0:35 I keep hearing "ass recovery team" and laugh...

  • Hey your music's from Incompetech, the exact one that Matt's Mac uses!

  • Ellie is a bit too animated in interviews.

  • @Verdoux007

do not agree, she is very real

  • Ellie has what we call generous face.

She is very pretty with lovely smile.

She knows how to select her dress.

  • hi Ellie

Is your other half with you now>

    did she arrive?

    ----

  • In 2005 Katrina rolled through the south, at the same time the west coast was hit hard by fires. You never know what other disaster relief victims will be competing for cable and equipment resources. Stage gear strategically, especially OSP stuff, or anything that may require freight. Standardize your network so that a remote office can quickly become a central office. If that doesn't work, use the Force.

  • So this is the answer to the old question "What would it be like if Catherine Zeta Jones were younger and very interesting and informative?" Ellie

  • Great report, loved it =]

  • everything about Ellie is sexi...

  • gOD dAMN SHES HOT

  • what a flashy title for a communication network on wheels. it's 1914 all over again.

  • why would there be random chlorine floating about?

  • @jordanmjk0 Mustard Gas attack? It IS the highest level of risk, and they mention "humanitarian work" at some point to allow anyone to have network access regardless of the disaster situation. So I'm guessing it also takes terrorist attacks into consideration.

  • @Kaiser86 oh i see thanks the confuions gone

  • Nice, Killing Time - Kevin MacLeod. Good song choice.

  • 3:22 looks like someone needs to pee

  • prepping for 2012

  • 2:47 and 2:55 What was Ellie looking at? Funny situation.

  • "basically"

I hear it ALL the time. Why?!

  • I love rocketboom. Are there any other cool shows out there? What else is worth watching on the internet?

  • That's pretty intense. Glad to see they're so thoroughly prepared.

  • Ellie is hot and cute!

  • ve-hickle!

  • "we really don't think about how they get their connection until they stop working"

    Speak for yourself.

  • These guys are the best.

  • I love the look on her face at 2:54 :DD

  • @nowzadick Please tell me you didn't just come here to say this.

  • Rocketboom has to be my favourite show on the internet.

  • V. Interesting, cheers Ellie!

  • It's good to have a backup plan available when you need it.

  • If disaster strikes, I know what to look for if i need some signal bars.

  • It's apparently working, and I wish Verizon had a better network. Yeah, a regular service blackout for no reason just rules.

  • "Hopefully we'll never have to use them"

    -People get fired

    -Economy still down hill

  • @GetMoneyPro1 Actually, the economy has been going uphill for a while now, it's just that we're still deep in the valley.

  • @GetMoneyPro1 never having to use them doesn't mean you don't NEED them. The whole idea behind disaster recovery is that you don't want to have to use it but if something does happen you have them in place. In that situation those trucks are worth their weight in gold.

  • This was really interesting! Thanks for my dose of knowledge. =)

  • illadelph fucking up? haha jokes i love da eagles!

  • I didn't know they had a Hazmat team

  • Ellie Phantastic As Usual! :-)

  • Wait? AT&T provides phone and internet service? I wonder if they provide that to my Iphone because I've never been able to get the phone or internet service on it.

  • My Internet connection broke while I was watching this video...

  • Ok, now THIS is informative. This could be an awesome theme. Disaster tech!!!!

  • Great job, Ellie. I thought a basic rack was expensive. I can only, what one of those COLTs cost.
