  • It's funny how apple changed their ads from "it's more productive than a pc" to the current one "Macs are for fun things and pcs are boring" lol

  • if people wanted mac, then it would sell more, macs barly even sold at all untill they used Intel CPUs. macs before the year 1998 are very hard to find because virtually no one even bought them, while windows 95 pcs aren't hard to find at all because everyone bought then. plus most buisinesses today still use dos,3.1, and 95 because its o great for buisiness while mac sucks at buisiness and entertainment, since their media players are as advanced as an online video player

  • ahahaha PC sucks.

  • I have a DOS compatible PowerMac!

  • @nextstep333 :O! Impossible to get that mac here =( (argentina)... enjoy it please :D enjoy it for who can't buy it xD

  • @nicolunacba They sell Macs in Argentina, you just have to where to get, in castilian it is called "El Mercado Negro"

  • @nextstep333 ha-ha

  • how much?

  • Back then, to but DOS or Windows onto a Macintosh, you needed a DOS card. Now, really nothing other than the Windows disc and Boot Camp (of course you have to have a Intel-Based Mac)

  • Wow, that mac looks more advanced than vista

  • ANYTHING is more advanced than Vista. I'd rather put up with graphics falling apart in Linux (even though I lack terminal knowledge) than have Vista try to control me.

Just for a bit of background, some Macs had a card with a 486 on it and some way of switching to it for DOS use. Macs are pretty much the same sans card nowadays. Run both a PC compatible OS (Newer Ubuntu releases and WinXP work, along with the evil Vista) and Mac OS X on the same machine

  • :-) lol! i know i know... i've been using Linux on a Pc but on june 25 2006 i've bought a mac mini (wow! :'-]) and now just tigers and leopards in my life

  • right, and I think since the beginning of time, Macintosh could always run Windows, and thats great, PC cant run Mac OS... so PC has been doomed from the start.

  • It couldn't always run MS OS's. The difference in Processors inhibited this. Mac's used to use Motorola and Power CPU's, while DOS/Windows (desktop platforms) have run on x86 platforms almost exclusively. Now Mac's use Core 2 Duo's with are x86 and x86_64 compatible, which allows Windows to be installed natively. Later, Windows 95 could be installed via a Mini-Intel chipset card that contained a BIOS-to-ROM that allowed hardware to be accessed via an immediate hardware compatibility layer.

  • very true!

  • @Mat5913 thats not very hard
