No ,It is about Oliver Cromwell, he was the Lord Protector over Britain that invaded Ireland and attempted to commit genocide of the Irish. His army deported many to the Caribbean. So unless Dave King got the date wrong, (which I doubt he did), maybe he is referring to the years of battles fought from when he started the campaign in 1649. Even though he died in 1658 the army kept fighting after his death. His son Richard was only in power for 9 months and didnt do much compared to his father
@forsythster yes, actually I know that, I was just confused about the date 1659. Because he says "It was 1659, forgotten now for sure, when Cromwell and his roundheads battered all we knew." so the date and Cromwell are mentioned in one sentence. But thank you, maybe it's really because of the continuing fights after his death
at the beginning he sais it's about oliver cromwell, but he died in 1658, so it's about richard cromwell, isn't it?
