@brandyvermaak If you are getting music for free then its illegal. It against the law!! so don't do it. All of my music is legal bought from CDs or Itunes. People like you is why music is so expensive because the music studios have to compensate for the people who steal the music and the ones who abide by the law have to pay for it.
i have a problem with my mixtrack pro and pioneer hdj 1000 both are new.. i cant mix the songs well because the sound is on the same output ALWAYS. thats why i cant beatmatch because i cant listen to one song at a time using my headphones. i've tried setting it up but it didnt work. need help please!
Whats the output quality like when running from usb power? I'm between this, the DDJ Ergo and the Kontrol 3. It's also essential to jump cue fast, like you would with a needle drop function. Is it possible to assign the controls to the cue hair in the software for skipping quickly to a cue on the fly? Setting cue points is ridiculous to me, would be great to know. Cheers fella
@NeilDnb What do you mean by the output quality. Do you mean audio? And it always runs on USB power. I would go for the DDJ Ergo if you can or even better the Traktor S2 (Or the S4 if you really want to blow the bank!). I don't think you can assign the cues in the basic software that comes with the Mixtrack pro. You would have to upgrade the software.
@JLDJUK Cheers, I was talking about the audio quality. The Ergo won't allow me to quickly jump cue (a bit like Halton Towers!) so I'll look into the trakor S2 for this function. I'm also looking at the vci-300mk2, as it looks decent build and reliable, altho I have to find out if it's possible to jump cue fast with that, other than using the FF button. Cheers for the advice :-)
Hi i just got my mixtrack pro and i have a huge amplifier with huge speakers but i have a phono input on my amplifier can i hook up the numark to that then hookup the computersound to my numark?`since im playing from my computer
@Jprianes If your stereo has an audio input like phono or 3.5mm headphone jack then you can. You just need the right cable, wether it be phono to phono or phono to 3.5mm
hey please can you help me out, i have a macbk pro with an apogee duet interface, connected to my krks, how do i connect the mix track and have the headphone mix working threw it and the main mix threw my duet, PLEASE help me xx
@OneManPenitantiary Make sure you are connected to the right input and have the correct channel selected on the TV. Then make sure you haven't got the thing muted :)
I'm hopeless, I got my Mixtrack Pro last day, and now I have the Logitech Z323, but they have a RCA input and another weird cable.. My Mixtrack don't recognize it.. It has 2 RCA outputs and I plugged in to my Mixtrack Pro, but now the headphone plays music and the left speaker which has the RCA input.. Please help me:(
Hey man great vid thanks a lot. Im still confused on how to cue a track on the mixtrack pro (sorry still really new...). Am i right in saying that the cue fade knob changes what u can hear through ur headphones - the track you are cueing; the one that is playing; or a mix of both and cue gain changes how loud this is? Is there any ways u could make a quick vid of how to set up for cueing and what to do when ur in the mix to cue ur song. Thanks so much.
@hbns179 The cue fade nob acts as a crossfader in your headphones so you can try mixing the track before playing it live. You want it set the knob to the cue side to set up the track. Make sure the cue light is on the deck you are loading a song into and not the deck playing live. then select your cue point (first beat in a bar) and you are ready to mix. You can make sure it sounds good in your headphones via the cue mix and then use the crossfader to make it live. I will try and make a video
@WeRTheNight1 If you stereo has an audio input then yes. If its got a phono in then its easy just plug a phono cable from the controller to the stereo. If it has a 3.5mm headphone jack input then you can use a 3.5mm to phono addapter
@JLDJUK yes my stereo has an audio input ...one red and one white like mixtrack pro's outputs....so i need an audio cable - 2RCA (M) - 2RCA (M),right ??
@jacksahappyperson It depends on which software you are using. Have a look in your sound card settings and see if you can change the audio output to your computer built in sound card. I know you can with the Virtual DJ LE edition but I don't know about Traktor LE
@filmmake2000 Yes you should be able to. Depends what their input is. If its 3.5mm then you can buy a phono to 3.5mm cable and just plug it straight in to the mixtrack pro
@JontstazGaming It depends which version you have. One comes with Virtual DJ software (don't think they sell it any more) and the other version comes with Traktor LE DJ software. I know you can't change the sound card settings in virtual DJ but I don't know with the Traktor software as I don't own it
@JontstazGaming I don't know if you can change the sound card settings in Traktor (which now comes with the controller) if you can then you can change the sound output to your computer
My headphones are being repaired right now, is there any way I can connect earbuds (Sennheiser CX475) to the Mixtrack Pro until then? Connecting them to the outputs in the back doesn't work for some reason, yet works for any other speaker.
@Kindadinosaur With the numark mixtrack you need to buy and external sound card for it to output audio. So then you just go out of that external sound card and into the TV in the same way
@BigTwoSevenKills Its all about cables. You just need a phono to XLR cable and then put each XLR output into each RCF speaker. I pass it through a DJ or PA mixer before it goes to my speakers. Gives me more control
I currently have an iMac with bose companion 5s which are a USB into the back of my mac for music, using this controller, will the sound come through those or do the speakers have to be plugged in direct?
@strongylad28 You would need to plug your speakers directly into the back of the controller. Alternatively you could upgrade to the pro version of the software and then you could change the sound card settings to come out your bose speakers
I am buying a Mixtrack Pro which will connect to my Desktop Computer but how will i get the sound through the computer speakers? Can i get a phono out from the Mixtrack into the headphone jack of my computer? Will that allow sound through my computer speakers and also allow me to should my headphones on the Mixtrack!?....
Hey I'm trying to find this out. How do I get the music that's on deck a to play threw the speakers and deck b to play threw my headphones, on mixvibes it's easy there is a little Icon for headphones and I just click it and I can hear threw what going on on deck b while everyone hears deck a?
@DominiricanFlims There are cue (headphones) selects on the unit like you say as on the mixvibes. use the crossfader to control which channel goes out to the speakers and then the cue select to choose which channel goes to your headphones
Im just starting off djing so i dont know much about the setup, but do i need an amplifer or can i just plug it into some speskers? And i also have a guitar amplifier with phono inputs so could i use that?
@SnipeSession19 Well depends on the speakers. If they are like computer speakers and have the amplifier built in (active) then you can just plug them straight in. If the speakers aren't powered then you will need an amp
@XxSpook95xX Yes is you upgrade the software to virtual DJ pro and then change the sound card settings. Or if you are on a desktop you can get a phono to 3.5mm socket and plug your computer speakers directly into the Mixtrack Pro
i brought myself a numark mixtrack, but I am sooo confused on how to set it up, i have seen other videos and they say you have to buy a dj/io thingy, and some cables, but I am confused as to why/?? can anyone offer me any help. thanks!!
@Dexduzdiz The numark mixtrack has no built in sound cards (audio outputs) so you need to buy an external one and plug it in. You want to have it connected up via USB and then change the sound card settings in the software to set your new sound card as master. You can then set your computers sound card for cueing
INDESPERATE NEED OF HELP. got my mixtrack pro connected to speakers via rca cable that runs into a 3.5mm jack on the opposite end. for some reason the options 'channel 3 and 4' on the output monitor on audio setup are not showing, and instead the only options i have are 'sigmaTel audio 1 and sigmaTel audio 2' . there is no sound coming from the speakers or from my headphones! help!
my mixtrack pro is connected to my pc and then my pc is connected to the amp by a 3,5mm jack. this gives sound from the decks but has no sound through the headphones when pluged into the mixtrack pro. iv tried plugging a red/white cable from the mixtrack pro in to the amps in put but i get no sound :S I need some advice please :) p.s the only problem i could think of is the cable im using is yellow/red/white but i only plug the red and white in. would it work if i just got a red/ white cable ?
@1rygby1 What in traktor or VDJ. In VDJ you need the pro version not the one that comes with the mixtrack pro. For traktor I have no idea because I don't use the software
@WprEmiere1985 As long as they are phono cables it will work. Dosen't matter on the colour. Its meant to be yellow for video and red and white for audio.
thanks for the review...i was wondering if i can listen to my main mix through my computer sound system that connects thru a usb port to my computer? or do i have to use speakers that connect directly to the mixtrackpro? and how would i have to configure vdj for that kind of setup. i would really like to know before i buy this product
How do i use my mixtrack pro so it can be heard from speakers and through my headphones? Also sence it comes with Virtual Dj, that is what im using, do i need to make adjustments in the settings of VDJ? I also used the double sided a/v cable into my television and out my mixtrack pro, and it never played out of my tv. HELPPPPPP. so many questions.
@MySexyXbox You plug your headphones into the 1/4 inch socket on the front of the mixtrack pro. You may need and addapter to the small headphone connection (3.5mm). you don't need to change any settings with the LE software its just plug and play. Make sure you get the right output on the mixtrack pro one is another cue output. You need to plug it into the TV and then go to the channel on the socket (e.g. AV3) and then the sound should play through. Just plug into red and white not yellow :)
great vid! ye know those two outputs on the back of the mixtrack pro, one if for master mix and one is for the "moniter".. if you are connecting it to the tv, what goes into the "monitor" output? just wondering..
Very nice vids! Just a quick question. How do you record your mixes? Don't mean the videos but how do you record a mixtape done with the mixtrack pro? Is there a recording function in Tracktor or do you use some other program like Adobe audition?
@heyletspretend Some people have found it with Virtual DJ and some with traktor. Its probably just the country you are in or something along those lines
@dubstepdrop94 All audio signals need to be amplified before they are connected to speakers. There are two options. You either go from your audio source/mixer into an amplifier that then connects to your speakers. Or you can get active speakers where the amplifier is built into the speakers. This is the case with most computer speakers. You don't have a seperate amplifier unit.
@kharehilljr Well there are so many laptops out there. most will be fine. As long as it has a bit of power and doesn't constantly crash. You can't use a netbook because of lack of power and screen size. In terms of speakers they can vary massively. I mean you can get a cheep set of speakers or the speakers I got were about £1,000 for the pair. It depends on your budget. You can get passive speakers which need an external amplifier or you can get active speakers where the amp is built in.
Hey, thanks for all of your Videos. I have order the numark mixtrack pro, and I gone pick it up to morrow :) I’m only 14 years old but I love techno music, so I would try to make some by myself. I also buy some M-Audio BX5a speakers. I hope it gone work. You also save much of my money, because if I don’t had seen your videos, I had to need to pay for a teacher to learn me.
@StreetMagicMaster Its an Acer Aspire One netbook (D250-0Bw) and I can't remember how much. Maybe £300? I don't use it a gigs though because it is to low powered. I use a mac mini
Hello. Thanks for the video. I´m going to buy two separate monitors to connect to the mixtrack pro. however there is only one phono out. (the other one is for headphones) Can I use a RCA splitter to connect both monitors to the mix track pro?
@Mszzimported All the sound is outputted through the rear RCA (phono) outputs on the back of the mixtrack pro. To change your sound card settings to play through your computer speakers you will need to pay to upgrade the software and then you can change the sound card settings. Or you can just buy a phono to 2.5mm socket and then connect your speakers to the phono outputs
when use output 1 and connect through my television, i can only play deck A. Deck B does play but there's no sound, not even in headphones. Only DECK A and only change volume through the master volume switch. Any advice ?
@XbandosXpker Unfortunately with the virtual DJ LE software you cannot change any of the sound card settings so the sound will only output through the phono outputs on the mixtrack pro. Unless you upgrade the software then you can change the sound card settings to use the built in output.
@JLDJUK yes i got the pro version already and iv found a white and red converter to go in my monitor from my mixtrack but i dont know how to make one song play through head phones while the other go through the monitor
@DJkazify your headphones should just plug into the front of the mixtrack pro. Make sure you look at your sound card settings so your headphone output is going to the mixtrack pro. Make sure you are connected to the right output on the mixtrack pro. Put a song on both decks and leave the crossfader in the middle. If you can here only one song its the wrong output.
Hey I am planning to buy a 2:1 speakers that we use in our room.like logitech or creative ones.I want to know if I can use those speakers with my mixtrack pro? Let me know as i dont want to spend to much money on speakers as i will be djing in the room most of the time

@reezrishad07 Hi. You just need to make sure the speakers have the correct inputs. In this case phono. But then again if it is another connection you can just by a cable to suite.

@xbiozatic1 you can use external computer speakers by using a phono to 3.5mm socket and then connecting this into your computer speakers. You can't change the sound card settings with the Virtual DJ LE software so it comes out the computers sound card (laptop speakers). To do this you need to upgrade the virtual DJ software
IF the dvd sound works then so should the mixtrack - its not about the wrong AV. I am sure its config settings - these must be changed right ? BUT i just cant get into the config because dialogue box is asking me to choose trial or buy an upgrade. Even if i click trial not getting through. I am getting Kapersky pop up warnings. Then when i go back in again it says my trial is up !!!! But I only loaded it today lol. Please advise before this goes out 8th fl. window.
ooops, now i cant even do posting here right. i think the tv inputs are working cos i checked with a dvd player and i hot sound (obviously there are three cable when i do that ....one yellow). when i pulled out the yellow the sound stopped...is that normal? as u can tell im not very technical. just trying to think about what piece kit is busted. i really think i need get in config...but cant :(
yeah right..just tried the audio into tv method. It does not work. sound through headphones ok (both tracks at same time....hmmm). djanomoly's 'how to set up' mentions going into config,,but when i do that it says 'do you want upgrade' annoying message. ps. the first time that config DID open but i did not get the sound option tab like on his vid. confused. i want my decks back :(.....can someone expalian from beginning...i think i will uninstall and redo. ps.. i use the free VDJ 6.1.2.

@SnipeSession19 Yep a guitar amp would work well. You can get active speakers (with the amp built in) or passive (where the amp is external)
JLDJUK 6 months ago
@JLDJUK /alright thanks :) But 1 last question, do you need an amp or can you just use speakers?
SnipeSession19 5 months ago
@SnipeSession19 Well depends on the speakers. If they are like computer speakers and have the amplifier built in (active) then you can just plug them straight in. If the speakers aren't powered then you will need an amp
JLDJUK 5 months ago
is there anyway that music can come out the computer ?
XxSpook95xX 6 months ago
@XxSpook95xX Yes is you upgrade the software to virtual DJ pro and then change the sound card settings. Or if you are on a desktop you can get a phono to 3.5mm socket and plug your computer speakers directly into the Mixtrack Pro
JLDJUK 6 months ago
PLEASE ANSWER! does the mixtrack pro come with the phono(spelling) cable??

i brought myself a numark mixtrack, but I am sooo confused on how to set it up, i have seen other videos and they say you have to buy a dj/io thingy, and some cables, but I am confused as to why/?? can anyone offer me any help. thanks!!
Dexduzdiz 6 months ago
@Dexduzdiz The numark mixtrack has no built in sound cards (audio outputs) so you need to buy an external one and plug it in. You want to have it connected up via USB and then change the sound card settings in the software to set your new sound card as master. You can then set your computers sound card for cueing
JLDJUK 6 months ago
@JLDJUK You sir, are a genius :D

INDESPERATE NEED OF HELP. got my mixtrack pro connected to speakers via rca cable that runs into a 3.5mm jack on the opposite end. for some reason the options 'channel 3 and 4' on the output monitor on audio setup are not showing, and instead the only options i have are 'sigmaTel audio 1 and sigmaTel audio 2' . there is no sound coming from the speakers or from my headphones! help!
MrN03yeomana 7 months ago
@MrN03yeomana Contact numark. They can help you better than I can

my mixtrack pro is connected to my pc and then my pc is connected to the amp by a 3,5mm jack. this gives sound from the decks but has no sound through the headphones when pluged into the mixtrack pro. iv tried plugging a red/white cable from the mixtrack pro in to the amps in put but i get no sound :S I need some advice please :) p.s the only problem i could think of is the cable im using is yellow/red/white but i only plug the red and white in. would it work if i just got a red/ white cable ?
1rygby1 7 months ago
@1rygby1 Are you using Virtual DJ or Traktor? You will just need to change your soundcard settings
JLDJUK 6 months ago
@JLDJUK traktor
1rygby1 6 months ago
@JLDJUK how do i change sound card settings ????
1rygby1 6 months ago
@1rygby1 What in traktor or VDJ. In VDJ you need the pro version not the one that comes with the mixtrack pro. For traktor I have no idea because I don't use the software

I plugging into studio monitors and my rca? are orange and gray. They're working maybe they're not rcas?
WprEmiere1985 7 months ago

MySexyXbox 7 months ago
@MySexyXbox You plug your headphones into the 1/4 inch socket on the front of the mixtrack pro. You may need and addapter to the small headphone connection (3.5mm). you don't need to change any settings with the LE software its just plug and play. Make sure you get the right output on the mixtrack pro one is another cue output. You need to plug it into the TV and then go to the channel on the socket (e.g. AV3) and then the sound should play through. Just plug into red and white not yellow :)
JLDJUK 7 months ago
great vid! ye know those two outputs on the back of the mixtrack pro, one if for master mix and one is for the "moniter".. if you are connecting it to the tv, what goes into the "monitor" output? just wondering..
cheers! :)
jazzaj69 7 months ago
@jazzaj69 Monitor is like your cue output. You don't have to use it. I don't
JLDJUK 7 months ago
@JLDJUK so you would use when... i really dont know..?
jazzaj69 7 months ago
@jazzaj69 if you had monitor speakers while you were mixing you might use it then

How do you connect it to your telly so you can see Virtual DJ on the tv?

Very nice vids! Just a quick question. How do you record your mixes? Don't mean the videos but how do you record a mixtape done with the mixtrack pro? Is there a recording function in Tracktor or do you use some other program like Adobe audition?
heyletspretend 8 months ago
@heyletspretend In virtual DJ there is a feature in the software to allow you to record your mixes. I don't know about traktor
JLDJUK 8 months ago
@JLDJUK Thanks! It seems that Numark now bundles the Mixtrack Pro with Tracktor LE tho.
heyletspretend 8 months ago
@heyletspretend Some people have found it with Virtual DJ and some with traktor. Its probably just the country you are in or something along those lines
JLDJUK 7 months ago
@shortykid2011 You want to go out of the mixtrack pro and then into your speakers. not out the computer

Can i connect it directly in to speakers ?
dubstepdrop94 9 months ago
@dubstepdrop94 All audio signals need to be amplified before they are connected to speakers. There are two options. You either go from your audio source/mixer into an amplifier that then connects to your speakers. Or you can get active speakers where the amplifier is built into the speakers. This is the case with most computer speakers. You don't have a seperate amplifier unit.

What is a good laptop to use to dj and what speakers should I use to dj a party at a building
kharehilljr 9 months ago

Thanks man, your the best!

Hello. Thanks for the video. I´m going to buy two separate monitors to connect to the mixtrack pro. however there is only one phono out. (the other one is for headphones) Can I use a RCA splitter to connect both monitors to the mix track pro?
Thanksl

i want to use this on my laptop but i dont have any speakers, just the built in ones in the laptop. can i get sound ?
Mszzimported 10 months ago
@Mszzimported All the sound is outputted through the rear RCA (phono) outputs on the back of the mixtrack pro. To change your sound card settings to play through your computer speakers you will need to pay to upgrade the software and then you can change the sound card settings. Or you can just buy a phono to 2.5mm socket and then connect your speakers to the phono outputs
JLDJUK 10 months ago
when use output 1 and connect through my television, i can only play deck A. Deck B does play but there's no sound, not even in headphones. Only DECK A and only change volume through the master volume switch. Any advice ?

XbandosXpker 10 months ago
I have buildin speakers in my computer will that work?
XbandosXpker 10 months ago
@XbandosXpker Unfortunately with the virtual DJ LE software you cannot change any of the sound card settings so the sound will only output through the phono outputs on the mixtrack pro. Unless you upgrade the software then you can change the sound card settings to use the built in output.
JLDJUK 10 months ago
@JLDJUK yes i got the pro version already and iv found a white and red converter to go in my monitor from my mixtrack but i dont know how to make one song play through head phones while the other go through the monitor
DJkazify 10 months ago
@DJkazify your headphones should just plug into the front of the mixtrack pro. Make sure you look at your sound card settings so your headphone output is going to the mixtrack pro. Make sure you are connected to the right output on the mixtrack pro. Put a song on both decks and leave the crossfader in the middle. If you can here only one song its the wrong output.

@reezrishad07 Hi. You just need to make sure the speakers have the correct inputs. In this case phono. But then again if it is another connection you can just by a cable to suite.

when u hook it up to your home center do u need to change any settings it Virtual DJ or the main Adio Source?
DaKiddDymand 11 months ago
@DaKiddDymand If this is the mixtrack pro then you just go phono out of the unit into your home sound system. No sound card settings needed
JLDJUK 11 months ago
also can u hook this up to a laptop speakers
xbiozatic1 11 months ago
@xbiozatic1 you can use external computer speakers by using a phono to 3.5mm socket and then connecting this into your computer speakers. You can't change the sound card settings with the Virtual DJ LE software so it comes out the computers sound card (laptop speakers). To do this you need to upgrade the virtual DJ software

Then when i go back in again it says my trial is up !!!! But I only loaded it today lol. Please advise before this goes out 8th fl. window.
