automatic? :( rev limiter = homo. you cant even reach the rx8's full potentian until 8500 rpm's....... manual is where its at. and youve never seen "spinning out tires" in an rx8 until youve driven a manual.

You sure it's a 232bhp?? Normally the 190bhps have redline finishing at 9,000 and 232s have it finishing at 10,000.

Actually, 2009 model revs at 9k. And it's a loner so all good.

@NEUROMODS actually the dial goes to 9000, the limiter will kick in at 7000-7500

thats not good for the engine, it's not even fully heated up...That's why there is a little bit of the red part of the line. It's supposed to rev at 8k.

The 2009 models have changing redlines. At the begining of the vid redline is at 6500 rpm ;-)

I know, corres. But the engine was cold, hence the 7k redline. Wtf would you want to floor and go that high rpm when the car is cold. That is freaking terrible for a Rotary engine.
