  • He got mad for a second, "Stop second guessing me in my videos." LOL!

  • LOL stop second guessing me in my videos! hahahhaha

  • If after b x h7 if he doesnt take bishop you do not retreat bishop you play q h5 with the threat of bg6 check then qh7 mate this is also known as the greek gift sacrifice

  • KEVIN THE KING HAS 12 MOVES YOU DIDN'T COVER THEM ALL!

  • It would be EPIC for us chess fans if we could see a battle like

    Kevin x Jerry

  • I started with the giocco piano, or really the italian game, and have learned the majority of what i know from these videos. Primarily kevin and chesswebsite videos, but its good to watch as many as you can. I dont know how people can second guess these moves, since youll find that the theme behind them is whats important. Not memorization, but concepts. Um..In other words, thanks :)

  • your videos are the best i can find thankyou very much!

  • Greek gift ftw.

  • 5:34 HE CALLED THE QUEEN A HE :O!

  • the black pawn just needs to go to h6 and all the materials in this video will be useless

  • Hey, just starting to get seriously into the game, i found this video extremely helpful, What happened to the knights though? can you show/explain the opening to set this up? I obtained every position needed with an opening line except that I couldn't figure out how to eliminate their kingside knight.

  • Thanks Kevin! These middle game tactics are really helping out my play! Ever since I started watching and learning from your videos, I find myself getting better at chess (knowing I still have a lot to learn). Thanks so much for the videos! Keep up the awesome work!

  • awesome video i really see myself improving!.Thx man!

and by the way are you n any chess websites?

  • jrobi and kevin are god for me !!!! !!!!!!

  • I'm just starting to improve at chess and this is very helpful... Thank You!

  • Great videos! Very instructive Chess videos... Great work!

  • thanks so much it works soo well with the colle system i have won so many games with it

  • Very similar in this situation is sacrificing the black bishop after black has moved his pawn to h6 (very common move). If the bishop is backed by the queen you can take 2 pawns but still i wonder whether i will win the game in that situation.

  • Kevin, your videos are brilliant and have really helped me improve at chess in the last few weeks. Thanks.

  • you don't need those pieces, like the e5 pawn, you can handle a mate without all those pieces, this kind of makes of difficult to get the sacrifice, there are others occasions

  • How the hell do you defend against it tho?

    its too annoying

  • another great video... put as many sacrifice videos up as u can.... THUMBS Up if u agree...

  • why there is no horse in yhe oppnent side

  • Never second guess the "KEVSTER" you noobies!

  • @Deviantmoon666 for the year i've been on youtube, this is my fav comment so far. well said. very well said.

  • @thechesswebsite but it only works if you can take queen if he goes to h6?

  • Watching your videos are my favorite way to improve my game. Digging the middle game strategies.

  • queen to e8 and then pawn to f5 for black.?

  • love kevin!he makes me a better chess player!gees.his pronunciation is clear,not a single word blabbering!awesome.XD

  • i love kevin!he makes me a better chess player!gees.his pronunciation is clear,not a single word blabbering!awesome.XD

  • Excellent lesson, thanks!

  • awesome video, middle game vids are needed. You could definitely set yourself apart from Kingscruher, Jrobi et al if you did more of these very simple middlegame theme videos.

Perhaps one on how properly to exploit an opponents doubled pawns in the middle game would be good.

  • haha good stuff Kevin...the middlegame is probably my biggest weakness. Tell it like it is!

  • Thanks for the great vid, you have a good voice for commentaries.

  • Once again, another great video. These always inspire me to go play chess on chesscube or something

  • lol jerry is a pretty good commentator too.... but i like kevin better.

  • @spartanica you are currently my fav person on youtube. I need more comments like this.

  • i like these type of videos, please more tactical videos

  • "Stop second guessing me and my videos" lmao I almost chocked on my drink when you said that :D Good for you Jerry tell those noobs to stop their nonsense :) Nice vid, hopefully we see more vids of more complicated sacrifices, maybe also with creative ways to defend against hack attacks when you're the one on the receiving end ;)

  • @Immortalassassin1 sadly i'm not Jerry, although he is a good friend of mine.

  • @Immortalassassin1 .... You are a noob also, that's why you watching the video to learn. Kevin, if you don't explain why certain moves aren't made how are people meant to learn? They might as well just look at GM games and assume that everything is done right and learn just as much, eg nothing.

  • Oops sorry Kevin :( I must been thinking about Anands win still and got confused :P

  • @Immortalassassin1 That's Kevin. You should know this because when the video starts he's like "Hey everyone, this is KEVIN from blah blah blah and today we're gonna be going over blah blah blah".

  • nice video,

but in 4:30 you said that the e5 pown its super importan, but Kd4-Nf7+ and hi still lose (Kc6 Nxd8+ Rxd8 maby bg5 or h5) and fritz, rypka and Sf wil give white 10-15 point

  • Yay! I second the quest for more middle game stuff :)

  • great video i will try to use it! thx kev! and i would love it if u bring some more middle game tactic! its very usefull!

  • kevin its impossible for the king to have 12 different moves :P

    :O!

  • You really laid down the law at 2:31."Stop second guessing me and my videos!" LOL

  • i really love the middle game stuff. not only does it touch on strategies you should be looking out for but also it really helps in understanding the whole game of chess a lot

more middle game stuff plz :)

  • Great video. It certainly is more helpful to teach general principles than specific "patterns", and I do believe this video does just that.

I'd love to see more mid-game tutorials! =)

  • can you teach me how to be good :'(

  • People like being first lol

  • good, more middle game stuff.

  • @hackman1911 if I get more feedback saying more middle game stuff then that's exactly what I will do. You know how I operate, people ask and I give it to them. I'm here to please the people. Glad you like the middle game stuff, it's super important and there's a lot more to teach.

  • Great stuff!

  • @Pr0g4p4rV18 wow i'm like super impressed by the comments that go up within the first 10 minutes the video is live. I like it.
