  • did anyone notice his left glass eye?

  • i got to say for a black man he has cool hair straight

  • @firedog421 Thanks to some powerful chemistry! eheheh.

  • @warlleylucas i dont get it.

  • @firedog421 I meant that he must have used a lot of grease or something like it, just like everyone else back then!

  • @firedog421 They used to use relaxer back then...No well dressed black man would ever wear his hair naturally.

  • funny, cerf was trying to break in with a comment or question at the end and daly was giving him a look.

  • What fantastic show!

i've only seen one movie that features Sammy but he's real funny and a great dancer too.

btw did Marlon Brandon ever appeared on this show?

  • Bennet: "Do you ever have your points of difference with a gentleman named Frank Sinatra?"

    Sammy: "I take the fifth!"

    I love this.

  • Man. He's so good looking in this clip!

  • Sammy was white?

  • @drunkgorilla Gorillas must not be very good at distinguishing the races, davis was a black man

  • @busessuck1 in what way was he black?

  • @drunkgorilla in the errr normal way... he did perform with white artists, but it doesn't make him white... muh in the same way chris tucker isn't chinese

... I don't understand what you're tying to get at?

  • @drunkgorilla He was black and Puerto Rican.

  • LMAO at the way John Daly looks at Bennett at the end of this clip. Bennett was wanting to say something and Daly glanced up at the clock and kind of shook his head "no" with his eyes. He had a real STFU look on his face, which was usually reserved for Dorothy Kilgallen. By the way, that girlish giggle of hers was usually alcohol-inspired.

  • @spelvin214 You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about when you say " that girlish giggle of hers was usually alcohol-inspired." That is an ignorant statement. Unless you want to say that EVERY show that she appeared on was the cause of that. Don't try to spread ignorant and unconfirmed crap like that. Either that, or post specific evidence confirming such an idiotic statement. Yes, we know that she had alcohol problems, but your statement is untrue.

  • Can someone post Sammy's last appearance in late '74? Also Milton Berle from '74?

  • sammy had so much swag

  • The Guest Panelist was David Susskind, a legendary TV talk-show host of 1960-1980's; along with a great TV producer of legendary TV Specials like Death of Salesman, with Lee J.Cobb 1966 and Eleanor and Franklin 1976

  • Who was the guest panelist?

  • What a wealth of talent in this episode's mystery guest! Sammy did it all.

  • it's a good thing to know that people of my generation (the Echo Boomers) are interested in these kinds of things like I am

  • This was 30 years before I was born, to the day! ;D and I too love Dorothy's giggle ;D

  • Points of difference with Frank Sinatra -- to put it midly...I take the fifth --- maybe drink a fifth.

  • Oh dear, something happened at the end there. Poor Bennett got cut off and John didn't look very happy.

Arlene looking as lovely as ever :)

  • Oh, doesn't she ever!! =)

  • my mom saw the will mastin trio, then sammy by himself at the famous Ciro's nightclub.....cherished memories

  • lol it's fun to see Dorothy's girlish side, and that lovely giggle of hers!!

  • Thank you!! :))

  • Thanks Crepe! What a great era of American entertainment.
