From Nov 09 to March 2010, out of 19 council houses, allocated by Tralee council 11 went to immigrants. Many Irish people are on the housing waiting list, some waiting for 7yrs, and the houses are going to foreigners.

This at a time when Irish children in care are being moved around in different care homes and B&B's. Some of these kids have been abused and committed suicide - they would greatly benefit from a secure council house.
I can't believe they're destroying that lovely little harbour for that awful, yuppie marina! Honestly, they go to a place, say "Oh, isn't this nice" and then they build all over it! What is WRONG with people?!
Oh I know! My parents used to live there, and even the first time we went back to visit (about 1996) they bumped into people they knew. It's changed so much... such a shame! :-(
it soocs i live in greystones like right next to there now its being demolished for a marina it costs 300 million or something and no1 wants it to be built well not that i now of
There's 'progress' and then there's unmitigated greed, corruption (they ignored over 6000 objections!!) and vandalism - I know which I think this marina development is!
i try to use this harbour alot as i am a sail instuctor so over 4 months of each year not including every weekend, maybe it should be left up to me to tell people that its unsafe and not fit for its purpose...
our town is selling its soul.I remember being a kid and loving hanging around at the harbour.Granted I'm only 20 now but I wish things were different

wasnt in katies saturday night . got arrested on de way down.
sold loadsa trackies 2 soppy chips fri night so it was prob him down there.
I fonund a 20 spot at de bus stop last week.
rented out dat new ricky gervais film and smoked de whole lot.
best night of de year so far but

I agree.
It seems the only people who ever wanted the marina are the 'blow ins'.
Greystones isn't what it used to be imo. Its too build up now and there was a time (i'm not even old btw) when you used to know almost everyone.

absalute disgrace of a harbour, totaly defeats the purpose of a harbour at this stage, cant launch a boat into it, cant keep one there either
