Actually , I asked Ted DiBiase about this very thing.... Why did they pronounce your name differently in St Louis? He informed me that the correct pronunciation is indeed Di-Bi-OSS. He said that in order for it to have the pronunciation you suggest, that it would be spelled DiBiasi. We also discussed Dick Murdoch at length, and Ted related a funny story about Dick persuading Ted to break several of Sam Muchnick's WATC ground rules. This very story appears verbatim in Matysik's WATC book.

I have 6 discs of Saint Louis wrestling here I bought from High Spots cheap and I do not think Matysik was good on commentary. I know, now I am going to get flamed and hated, but it is my opinion. Matysik could not properly pronounce the last name DiBiase to save his life (not a matter of interpretation or accent as it should be easy to say Di - Bias - EEEEE). Matysik tries to call all the moves in a match, but he does not know the names of them. When in doubt, call a move a FLYING something
