That's wonderful. Being gay is not a choice , people are born gay. So they deserve the same right like heterosexual people. Homosexuality exist since the beginning of the world and it will continue to exist until the end. When an heterosexual couple make a baby they must know that the baby can be straight, gay or bisexual that's reality. So gay people who were not living an heterosexual life before they come out and don't have kids ,deserve to adopt or pay a surrogate if they want kids.

My son has GoldenHar Syndrom thanks to his bio mother. My kids were taken away from there mother so that they could have a better life sadly my son sat in foster.......

That is not what I meant at all..I think many of todays Mothers and Fathers are pretty sorry..The Culture has changed so much people do not value being parents because of sexual immorality and abortion. Did your Kids not have family on there mother or fathers side that did not want to take care of them? If not that is how family is failing in todays society.
My kids mother has 9 kids. the four oldest are with bio family. the rest have been placed all over the state. The mother after her 5th child was born was ruled by the court to be incompitent. every time after that when she became pregnant the children are removed from her at birth. The bio family has always been given first chance to adopt the children if they dont then the kids go into the foster care system untill an adoptive family is found.
the 5th 6th child where adopted by different familys. Then my son was born with Major medical issues. He was placed in foster care for three years. Then an 8th child was born and placed with my son. they stayed together for a year untill a familty adopted my sons younger brother. Sadly my son was determined to be unadoptable. Yet again another child was born my daughter, she was placed with my son. Then we came along.
When we met my son we fell in love with him just as much as we did my daughter. My son has a brightness about him that can lighten up the darkest room. I know you dont understand what it may mean for a father to love his adopted kids but I can tell you I have never been as priviliged in this life then to have the love of my children. There is something pure and godly about the love between a parent and child. I am just thankfull that I get to exsperience that love.
Let me ask you this? Would you want the kids you are raising to be Gay? Would you tell them that you and your male partner are unique? in the fact that the ideal family is a Loving Responsible woman and man to love one another and to love the children they procreate. Will you tell your kids that is the *Ideal Family* you would want for them?
If I am being honest I would want my kids to be streight. I never want my kids to have to wory about who they may disapoint or who they can rejoice in about the person they love. I want them to be happy. When we tease our kids and talk with them we always refer to there future life partners as the oposite sex. Why because there is a 90% chance they will be heteresexuale. Also my kids have not shown any sighns that they might be gay.

They don't ALWAYS go searching for their birth parents. My best friend is adopted and has NO desire to find her birth parents.
By calling the birth parents "there (sic) parents" you completely negate the love, care, bond and legal relationship of an adoptive parent and child.
These children have a birth mother, and she is unable to take care of them. Thank the Lord these two men stepped up and are raising these children in a loving and permanent home.

Banning gay marriage is clearly unconstitutional. The 14th amendment says "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States." The counter argument would be "civil unions allow for the same privileges as marriage". but you trump that with the precedent of Brown v. Board of Ed's "separate (is) inherently unequal."
I 100% agree with you about the 14th Amendment. The only light at the end of tunel will be if our cases here in CA force the USA supreme court rules that its unconstitutional. That will allow all Americans to Mary.

I was for prop 8 but for reasons only because I think the term "marriage" is "traditionally" used between a man and a woman, I DO think there should be another form of partnership that can be made just for people who want to be with the same sex but so far instead of also respecting other's traditions and shoving it in others faces (Gavin Newsom). I am a pretty conservative guy but I think that we need to address the gay community to have their own form of partnership with rights.

and as for overturning the existing marriages, I see that as being legal at the time, so it should be legal in my mind, should not be overturned. however the legality of the past overturning was actually illegal by the state of California. So there is question there, that was because the state did not vote on the issue. A big thing that people used is comparing this partnership marriage to human rights movement back in the 60's. There is a big difference and has really no comparisons.

That's wonderful. Being gay is not a choice , people are born gay. So they deserve the same right like heterosexual people. Homosexuality exist since the beginning of the world and it will continue to exist until the end. When an heterosexual couple make a baby they must know that the baby can be straight, gay or bisexual that's reality. So gay people who were not living an heterosexual life before they come out and don't have kids ,deserve to adopt or pay a surrogate if they want kids.

Someone ought to start a political campaign for the separation of church and state. because a lot of these problems stems from fundamentalist christianity that tends to have a huge effect on the state legislatures throughout the country.

I have a father and a mother. I value that each taught me different aspects of life and what it ment to be in the world. I was raised in a Catholic family with morals and values. I understand what that means to kids and family. My kids have a Mother a Mother that didtn want them that used drugs while she was pregnant with them. My son has GoldenHar Syndrom thanks to his bio mother. My kids were taken away from there mother so that they could have a better life sadly my son sat in foster.......

I in no way would ever say that my kids have not lost something by the fact they wont have that bound with there own mother. I think the bound between a mother and child is a bound that I will never be able to reproduce for my children. That being said I give my kids love protection understanding and guidence. I work 60hr weeks to make sure my kids have the best education and provisions that I can aford to give them. My husband stays home so that he can provide safety and secuirty to oyut home.

That is not what I meant at all..I think many of todays Mothers and Fathers are pretty sorry..The Culture has changed so much people do not value being parents because of sexual immorality and abortion. Did your Kids not have family on there mother or fathers side that did not want to take care of them? If not that is how family is failing in todays society.

My kids mother has 9 kids. the four oldest are with bio family. the rest have been placed all over the state. The mother after her 5th child was born was ruled by the court to be incompitent. every time after that when she became pregnant the children are removed from her at birth. The bio family has always been given first chance to adopt the children if they dont then the kids go into the foster care system untill an adoptive family is found.

the 5th 6th child where adopted by different familys. Then my son was born with Major medical issues. He was placed in foster care for three years. Then an 8th child was born and placed with my son. they stayed together for a year untill a familty adopted my sons younger brother. Sadly my son was determined to be unadoptable. Yet again another child was born my daughter, she was placed with my son. Then we came along.

When we met my son we fell in love with him just as much as we did my daughter. My son has a brightness about him that can lighten up the darkest room. I know you dont understand what it may mean for a father to love his adopted kids but I can tell you I have never been as priviliged in this life then to have the love of my children. There is something pure and godly about the love between a parent and child. I am just thankfull that I get to exsperience that love.

If I am being honest I would want my kids to be streight. I never want my kids to have to wory about who they may disapoint or who they can rejoice in about the person they love. I want them to be happy. When we tease our kids and talk with them we always refer to there future life partners as the oposite sex. Why because there is a 90% chance they will be heteresexuale. Also my kids have not shown any sighns that they might be gay.

I dont value male/females that have kids when they have no intentions of caring for or raising them. They don't ALWAYS go searching for their birth parents. My best friend is adopted and has NO desire to find her birth parents.
By calling the birth parents "there (sic) parents" you completely negate the love, care, bond and legal relationship of an adoptive parent and child.
These children have a birth mother, and she is unable to take care of them. Thank the Lord these two men stepped up and are raising these children in a loving and permanent home.

I also voted no on 8. Not because I'm pro gay marriage, but because I don't believe in ammending the Constitution via the ballot box. When I was Ron Paul's proxy at a local debate, I was asked this same question. For me saying gay marriage is like saying "pregnant male". Since civil laws give you the same rights we are essentially fighting over semantics. Divide and conquer at it's finest! Cheers, nice family!

Example Obama passed his stimulas package Me and my partner dont qualify as a couple under the terms. I have to be considered as a single male witch means I have to make under 75k. Im not a single male I am a memeber that consists of four people, Me works full time My partner stay at home father and two kids. We wont be stimulated under the law.

This is the MAIN problem with marriage! The government shouldn't look at us as marriage, single, straight, gay, black, white, short, fat, etc. We are ALL individuals and should be treated as such. There would not be an issue if the government didn't tax or benefit us according to our status.

Its painful enough that my dad's side of the family stop talking to me and now I think they hate me coz they give me hate mail and stuff, but this is so much worse. Banning gay marriage is clearly unconstitutional. The 14th amendment says "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States." The counter argument would be "civil unions allow for the same privileges as marriage". but you trump that with the precedent of Brown v. Board of Ed's "separate (is) inherently unequal."

This is taking away rights that were written into the constitution. Oh and what the hell happened to keeping church and state separate?! Guess that went to hell in a handbasket. My Mothers were already married in a church, what the hell are the people scared of? Marriage was legal for the last year, and the world HAS NOT ENDED.

I was for prop 8 but for reasons only because I think the term "marriage" is "traditionally" used between a man and a woman, I DO think there should be another form of partnership that can be made just for people who want to be with the same sex but so far instead of also respecting other's traditions and shoving it in others faces (Gavin Newsom). I am a pretty conservative guy but I think that we need to address the gay community to have their own form of partnership with rights.

and as for overturning the existing marriages, I see that as being legal at the time, so it should be legal in my mind, should not be overturned. however the legality of the past overturning was actually illegal by the state of California. So there is question there, that was because the state did not vote on the issue. A big thing that people used is comparing this partnership marriage to human rights movement back in the 60's. There is a big difference and has really no comparisons.

Keep strong guys. I may not be married to a woman, to know how hard it is. But I remember just loving someone of the same sex, and at the time we were planning for marriage. I can't imagine how it would of felt if someone else was trying to force us apart. My husband and I both believe that you should have the same rights as us.
