What other angles are you talking about. There is one video and have to say.... the Adygill (or however it spelled) was not stalled. You can see the wake it makes as it gets closer to the ship, then you see a large wake as it speeds up almost as if the smaller boat tried to ram the larger one. The fishing vessel can then be seen turning hard to port and barely striking the Ady gill on its starboard side. Had it turned to starboard it would have struck on port side.

You can say the fishing vessel was cutting it close by driving by to spray them with its hose but then if you go back even further the Ady Gil started the whole thing by being there to harass the fishing boat in the first place. The same one we were all watching - the one where the Japanese ship DELIBERATELY RAMMED the speedboat. The speedboat was dead in the water and from the other video you can see where the whaling ship changed course. Captain Watson wasn't on the speed boat at all. Get your facts straight.

Many people are forgetting a simple fact. The Ady Gil had almost no fuel left.
If you watch the entire damned thing as it unfolded, Bethune told his engineer (the only person in the ship at the time) to shut the engine off to save what little they had left.
The Shonan Maru was already cleared of the Ady Gil on its present course, yet it Changed its course to run directly at the Ady Gil.
Alot of the foam you see behind the Ady Gil were from the bow of the SM2 or from water cannons.
Simply watch the water cannon, where it hits, the foam goes through a gap in the Ady gil's hull and appears behind the ship where someone not paying attention can view it as wake caused by the Ady Gil's engine.
Then watch the very short section showing it coming from the Shonan Maru to the Ady Gil, same process of events shows what (again, to someone not paying attention) could appear to be the engines at full speed.
Definiatly Shonan Maru 2 (SM2) who is at fault in this one, as i saw and understood it, the engine on the ady gil (AG) was off, because of low fuel.
If you watch the video from the other side, you also see the SM2 bank to the left (from the view angle) wich could easily indicate it turning towards the AG.
The water cannons on SM2 have a pretty long range, there is absolutely no reason for it to be this close to AG other then the intention to actually ram it.

What other angles are you talking about. There is one video and have to say.... the Adygill (or however it spelled) was not stalled. You can see the wake it makes as it gets closer to the ship, then you see a large wake as it speeds up almost as if the smaller boat tried to ram the larger one. Now before you say " Are you saying he tried to ram the big boat?", I am not saying that. I think they mis-judged and accidentally hit the larger boat. It was just an accident, nothing more.

The fishing vessel can then be seen turning hard to port and barely striking the Ady gill on its starboard side. Had it turned to starboard it would have struck on port side.

You can say the fishing vessel was cutting it close by driving by to spray them with its hose but then if you go back even further the Ady Gil started the whole thing by being there to harass the fishing boat in the first place. The Ady Gil started the whole encounter and was ultimately the one whose actions made a collision imminent. I dont like whaling but truth is truth

At 29 seconds the engine is ramped up, but then really gassed around the 34 seconds. the turning radius on the Adi is fairly tight, but there was not the slightest hint of the Adi turning away. It was no mis-calculation. They knew that even thought the Japs turned into them but they were not going to hit.

Many people are forgetting a simple fact. The Ady Gil had almost no fuel left.
If you watch the entire damned thing as it unfolded, Bethune told his engineer (the only person in the ship at the time) to shut the engine off to save what little they had left.
The Shonan Maru was already cleared of the Ady Gil on its present course, yet it Changed its course to run directly at the Ady Gil.
Alot of the foam you see behind the Ady Gil were from the bow of the SM2 or from water cannons.

Simply watch the water cannon, where it hits, the foam goes through a gap in the Ady gil's hull and appears behind the ship where someone not paying attention can view it as wake caused by the Ady Gil's engine.
Then watch the very short section showing it coming from the Shonan Maru to the Ady Gil, same process of events shows what (again, to someone not paying attention) could appear to be the engines at full speed.

Definiatly Shonan Maru 2 (SM2) who is at fault in this one, as i saw and understood it, the engine on the ady gil (AG) was off, because of low fuel.
If you watch the video from the other side, you also see the SM2 bank to the left (from the view angle) wich could easily indicate it turning towards the AG.
The water cannons on SM2 have a pretty long range, there is absolutely no reason for it to be this close to AG other then the intention to actually ram it.

LOL, Ady Gils fault. First, that boat is a race boat and if it can't run from the whaling vessel then throw it in the trash. Second, driver making that kind of mistake (forward instead of reverse) should own up to it. Third, large vessels have right of way because they are less manuverable.
