Having Jesus' name in the title of the denomination doesn't make you a Christian. Putting up Christmas lights,singing in the choir,going to church,doing good works,whatever doesn't make you a Christian!

You obviously believe in Jesus Christ and have faith in him. If Christ still spoke to us and gave us guidance today - wouldn't you want to know that? Why would the writings in the NT be enough for you when there is so much more to know?

Of course - but it has to be tested according to the scripture - the Bible, and the LDS is not biblical.. And the Bible tells us hoe to be saved - and the LDS add so much to it - and perverts the grace of God (as many liberal christians also do)...

We believe that Jehovah of the OT was Jesus Christ and the prophets foretold of his coming. We believe that Jesus Christ is the "Son of God the only begotten of the Father" in the NT and the Savior of all mankind. We believe the Book of Mormon to be "Another Testament" of the existence of Jesus Christ and that he is the savior of mankind...

He claims we don't talk about Christ in ANY of our meetings. I can't think of a meeting we HAVEN'T talked about Christ in.

It's one thing to be active in the "scaffolding" of the church - it's entirely different to be active in your heart and mind. I've known Bishops, Missionaries,Stake Presidents etc... who've apostatized - his claimed callings don't impress me.

The Lord takes away knowledge when we don't live up to the light we receive. What he claims is our doctrine is SOOOOOOO far off the mark it's staggering.

He may have been a Mormon (of which sect I'm not clear). I doubt he was an active member.

It's like saying "Protestants believe and teach exactly the same as Catholics and Luthern." Mainstream LDS teach a very different doctrine from fundamentalist groups. By the way, I just learned that there are Protestant, Jewish, and "christian" polygamist groups. Not a word about them huh Shawn? Pretty interesting.

Typical LDS to assume that he was not active - I can tell you that he was an active member - missionary, married in the temple, stake high counsile member etc... watch "born again mormon new"

He was mormon for 40 years... thats what he knows. If he was Jew, than he would evangelize, inform and get jews to trust in Jesus. There are some counter-cult ministries that dont agree with his method, and says that mormons can be christian, although they stay LDS (not believing in the fables the LDS church tell their people)
