Children's Televison when it was educational and engaging, not like the mindless crap that fills schedules now, no wonder half of them can't read or write
"Flick through the pages of a book, there might be something that will make you stop and look"... The presenter's name really DID make you stop and look! lol Chrstopher Lillicrap is a really nice guy though, I actually met him last year! He was a good kids TV presenter as well, friendly and gentle in manner but without being condescending towards the young audience his shows were aimed at
That's citv presenters Debbie Shore (on the left) and Garry Terzza with guest Lisa Maxwell who used to present the Thames TV kids show 'Splash' at the time.
We have a reading show here in America called "Reading Rainbow". I remember we also had a series here back in the day called The Children's Circle in which "A DARK DARK TALE" was read, that was one of my favorite books when I was a kid.
The FLICKS theme song was great as well.
Have a great week! Puerto Rican Love from New York City!
By the way, I've been to England and I love it there.
Loved seeing this. The story is brilliant and so is Christopher's song about "The Bogus Boo". I adore the theme song, it's so catchy and how cool that Rod Burton sings it! Thank you so much for sharing such a rare gem Peter :)
Thank you for your great comments Lisa. I'm so happy you enjoyed seeing this. Yeah, I absolutely adore the Flicks theme sung by Rod too - it's so catchy! :D
Thanks for the memories again! Do you have any episodes of "We'll tell you a story" also presented by Mr Lillicrap?

@elafonisi08 Christopher Lillicrap is still involved in TV but as a producer and writer now, rather than a presenter

I remember the first time I saw this. The presenter's name came up and me and my sister laughed so hard for ages.

I always thought his name was funny when I was a kid, I still do. But he was a great children's presenter.

Anyone know the names of the presenters at the start of the clip? (you can only see them for less than 1 second)
