I am a native cape codder and this is the sound I look forward to every spring! No mater how cold it is I always drive with the window down just to hear them! When the winter gets too long I have a peepers CD I pop in my player
Glad that those peepers can be of service. Somewhere on here I have a nice nighttime campfire complete with crackling and crickets. Put mosquito repellent on.
I used to live in Belchertown MA but I live way out west now in the high desert steppe and I really miss the sound of peepers and the wood thrush. Thanks!
Peepers have a way of evoking memories for me. The first time I heard them, that I remember, is about 50 years ago out in back of my grandparents place in East Bridgewater. Fond memories of that. Then about 20 years ago right after my first puppy died at the age of 6 1/2 I was out in the cranberry bogs where the dog used to love to run and there were the peepers. It was very sad but the peepers were something that was alive in that place.

This is my favorite sound effects video on Youtube!! There's just something about frogs that gives one a spring fever.

thanks for the BEST video on the peepers - I play it over and over to wind down - especially before bed.

I went to UMass-Amherst in the 60s. Did a volunteer day at Belchertown State Hospital. That was a day that I'll never forget.
