  • This takes me back to my youth

  • génial !

  • Absolute storming brilliance. Luke Haines is a torpedo of musical truth pointed squarely at the crotch of commercial mediocrity.

  • This is wonderful.

  • What I like about it are the cutaways to Luke and the way he nods as he delivers his lines. I hope it's deliberate cos it's an effective mannerism.

  • Really love this video.

Wonder if Luke had to pay royalties to the Rubettes for "borrowing" then subverting Sugar Baby Love?

It perfectly captures the moment when a young man discovers both masturbation and radical politics at the same time!

  • cool video, but one of the worst auteurs songs for me.

love the auteurs, just not this song.

  • Nice.

  • Great song - it's as if Jarvis Cocker from Pulp decided to form a Denim tribute band!

  • super... Enfin un cd que je vais acheter !

  • That lady in the brown stole my moves!

  • Superb.

  • Thats because this isn't The Rubettes. Its a band called The Auteurs.

  • this is good!

  • who is this guy ive never seen him before in the origional rubettes?

  • Blimey, what a dreadful decade that was. Great song. Luke Haines gets my vote as most underrated pop writer in Britain.

  • simply brilliant

  • Hail to the Rubettes!

  • i must say the 70s were pretty big in riots and violence

  • yeah back before the gov't mind control had really set in, people still cared enough to rebell against bull shit, now they just yell about it on the internet while police state grows up around us. Technocracy is here like Huxley said it would be.

  • Je trouve ce titre pas mal du tout,même nostalgique!

    Très bon!

    Merci hairprac pour la vidéo.

  • Rose tinted glasses eh? Well, not quite anyway. The 3 day week, power cuts, very bad television and Peter Sutcliffe. Yep, the 70's were great.

  • Yes you are right we don't have the 3 day week, or power cuts so not much to look back fondly on, but Big Brother, Celebrity Big Brother, I'm A (non) Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, X Factor, most of ITV's output, most of Channel 5's output, Sky...... we certainly still have our share of godawful TV
