  • @mylittlesoulreaper **(tuba)

  • @TheLogan755 ***(sousaphone)

  • 2:45 @ 50 yd line

  • I HATE CORE BANDS!!!!!!! Marching bands are where it's at!!

  • Did an earthquake happen when the tuna fell cause he's the only tuba to hot the last dot

  • Smeone just give us the time of the fail :/

  • @sumbooodeeee 2:45 look at the 50 yd line. someone already said that...

  • A boy in our horn section fell last year. He did a summer salt back up(:

  • lol this is why u stand on your toes to march backwords ........plus half of this music is missing the barren county band in 199 did this show at state finals.....Barren County High School Marching Band - 1999 KY State Semi-Finals

  • dude this makes us tubas want to be awesome! this is like our inspiration video!! :D

  • looks like you screwed up the kid next to you lol

  • ahhh... malaguena *twitches* the memories!!!

  • I stumbled across this video again. I miss marching band so much!!! D:

  • I didn't notice anything wrong? o.o

  • Who is the drum major tech? Dude needs to be fired.

  • Holy shit!!! Amazing recovery, but the fact that he's a Tuba player just amplifies it!!!

  • This looks exactly like Upland High?

  • what school is this?

  • how do u fall and be the only one in ur section make ur spot. EPIC FAILURE!!!

  • i understand this.I fell when my band went to indianapollis?

  • @marchingrocks2011 what band are you in?

  • eh im to lazyto look for it

  • your a fb player and your in marching?? How the hell does that work out?

  • Great recovery, that only makes the person next to you look even worse for messing up. If you could land your spot after you fell they should've too.

  • This was actually a great show. I can tell that this is a very talented marching band. It's just that we teenagers have our occasional fall every now & then.

  • is this a marching version of malaguena?

  • Is this slippery rock?

  • Lol we played this for our marching show recently

  • Tuba for life xDDDD nice recovery !! and of course it would be a Tuba player whooaa

  • the poor tuba...

  • I don't see it...

  • up brownie fell up got its ok every one

  • Any one know what the first song is called???

  • Is that Malenguena i hear !? ;D my band played that song this past season! but awesome recoveryy ! get it !

  • it had to be a tuba player... XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • I like the announcer's enthusiasm XD

  • Roll over roll over. We had a few football players that were part of our band, but mostly drum-line. There may have been like 2-3 of them, but they were not essential part of the football team (they were not starters so to speak).

  • HAHAHA how does it feel knowing you let your band down?

  • Wowww. Is that a legit game? We get over 7,000 people at ours... last one sold out with 10,000 people. Stands are always packedd. Damnn, I knew high school ball was a southern thing but get some school spirit broski!

    GHSRams<3

  • ouch! good recovery! hope you were okay!

  • oh shit.... nice recovery!!!

falling with a sousa.... not pretty hahaah

    props!(:

  • Why am I here..? Anyways was a bit of a shame he was holding the most noticeable instrument, and standing in the middle of the field, lol poor kid. That said it was a nice save.

  • This happened to a bass of ours at a practice before regionals in the start of the year after alot of rain... Good save too btw our guy (woo chopticon!) did the same thing savewise also

  • took me 7 times to notice it so whatever happened good save lol

  • TEXAAAS

  • o: What McKinney band is this?! I go to MHS. I'm guessing it's North..?

  • @necorelli This was the Lake Dallas high school band they were playing MHS... I'm surprised I remember this, this was my freshman year at MHS.

  • That's what you get for rolling back on your heels!!

    Nice save though. :)

  • wow great recovery im in marching band, (flute) iv falllen before and its not easy getting back up and making the form without jacking everypne esle up. Great reacovery dude!)

  • a thing like that happened in my marching band at James Madison University. He got up and continued even with his tuba on. Go Loudon Valley

  • My junior year, our 5th Bass Drum tripped backward and rolled over himself and the drum.

  • Definitely not the funniest fall ever. And I performed harder color guard routines than that when I was in Jr. High.

  • Lol that happened to our school a couple days ago. Same instrument to but it was a freshman and his first competition. It was hilarious to watch the rerun. Poor guy was so embarrass.

  • @qwerty1995ish bahahaha!! That just made my night! It's funny because it's true. Haha

  • What is the music called?

  • I've seen funnier falls, but congratz on the recovery.

  • fall is at 2:44, It's a sousaphone (tuba)

  • I could not take a fall like that and hop back u so fast with my sousaphone. The only time I've ever fallen with it it had me pinned on the ground and someone had to help me get it off so I could get up. btw I'm a girl if that makes any difference in my wimpiness

  • holy crap is that my highschool???

  • oh man, nice recovery! it's not easy with that big sousaphone on your shoulders

  • GREAT Recvery! I couldn't tell the first 3 times I watched then I read the description and somebody said something about a tuba.. Excelent!

  • omg the very first time i fell during a performance they had to stop the show because i had done a split and and ripped/tore some thigh muscles. I was so embaressed!! Thank god it was just a football game

  • i was expecting the band to sound like crap after reading the description. for a band that lets someone that's not in uniform march, you guys sound pretty good.

  • im stupid and cant find the fall -___-

  • @brownieluver009 I can't find it either and wasted my time watching it three times.

  • IS THE TUBA OKAY?!

    oh... and the kid?

  • That looked like it really hurt, pluse that happened by to at least seven or eight different people, and it was really muddy on side a and b of the fifty.

It still was a great homecoming show.

  • I didn't see anything ._.

  • HOLY SHITAKI MUSHROOMS! That recovery was flippin amazing! Dude! I wish I could get up that fast! XD

  • Nice recovery!! I almost missed it lol

  • PIT FTW

  • omg LOL yea this happened in our band too. this saxophone player fell, rolled 3 times, and got up and was in step perfectly. it lookedl ike it was part of the show :D

  • wooo go pit :D

  • Falling is so scary!!! My boyfriend fell on me (he's a tuba player) and then it escalated. It was a line of 25 people. Guess how that ended? He still has parts of my reed from that night in his bell

  • ive watched this like ... 10 times and still cant find it.. when does it happen?

  • @passthepro keep watching the video past 2:29

  • @CorrieTheFrenchie oh.... now i see it... whoops :D

  • @passthepro lol i did the same thing

  • what fall? all i see is a bunch of ants on a green field.

  • It Hurts To Fall In A Sousa... I Got Pushed Down Once :D

  • sousaphone = pussy. Contra is where its at.

  • My band performed this friday night and i fell for the first time... i recovered pretty well... my sister couldnt stop laughing at me. haha

  • @snxpers

    Marimba 1

  • Nice recovery and I live Maleguena I play bass drum

  • You recovered so well!

  • Malaguena? Lol

  • wow that was a fast recovery for a sousaphone haha my friend fell down and couldn't get up and was about to get run over

  • i totally agree with @CotDaTroll, i hate them. our stupid suspender pants, thick-as-hell jackets, and capes.and you woul think the jackets would keep youw arm at games and stuff right?nope!they don't.it's like wearing a popcicle.so your already freezing, and the fact that i'm a clarinet and have to cut the fingers off my gloves doesn't really help either.haha

  • OMG! You hit the ground HARD! But you sure did hit your spot in time for the halt! Kudos for you!

  • I dont know why this is is funny. In my opinion its freaking amazing and show some impressive skill on behalf of the suza player in question. (of course a truely skilled player would never fall down, but everyone makes mistakes)

  • Did you have to march in your kleats? man that has to suck!

  • MALAGUENA!!!:D im playing this this year

  • @CotDaTroll doesn't pit still have to wear the uniforms or is it just my band and the other bands i compete against

  • im in 8th grade marching band and i dont think i will ever be able to do that ill forget where to go lol

  • I see Texas in the middle of the field. What city was this in?

  • Wow! great recovery! you get lots of points for that. last year we had a sax player badly sprain his ankle when he fell while marching at semi-state competition. he got right up and marched perfectly the rest of the show.... but then was on crutches for a month...

  • We [Pride of Prattville High School Marching Band in Alabama] played Maleguena [cant spell it lol] my freshmen year [I'm junior now], and I didn't hear the announcement at beginning of this but when they started I jus knew it was Maleguena, we did a similar step out move in it too!!

  • our jazz band played the song that they're playing (maleguena) and we ended up getting second place in the state finals >:D

  • when the guy was saying who the band was under direction of I thought he said joe dirt...

  • nice recovery!

  • right on time!

  • EPIC!! Good job sir!

  • is the tuba ok?

  • It's bad enough to march backwards, and with a TUBA, but to march backwards in cleats that must be bad.

  • @masterintwilight Who marches in cleats???? I haven't seen one to date.

    .

  • @jcd484 My cousin does. He's the only football player in our band too. Our director (since he is a freshman and isn't on varsity) makes him march halftime so he can't be with the team. He marches in his football uniform.

  • I can just imagine the director thinking, I don't care if the kid is ok, is my fucking 5000 dollar sousaphone alright?

  • i dont see the fall where is it

  • .... if you look at the lead drum major during the last 25 seconds of this video or so..... what kind of conducting is that? the other two aren't conducting as such. o.O

  • Best. Recovery. EVAH

  • My band played Malaguena as the closer last year, but we had a set that involved marching about 30 yards in a 4/5 sized step. During that move, people would fall and get ran over.

  • What a beast. A sexy beast at that :)

  • Dude, that is a ridiculously fast recovery. I understand about marching in cleats, I had club right before rehearsal and had to march in cleats, it sucksssss. Very nice recover, mad props man. Bet the shoulder pads help hold the Tuba up lol

  • i didnt see it.. can someone tell me when it happens?

  • @Hutt387 2:44... the second sousaphone on the left falls right off the 50 yard line.

  • it would be impossible to follow that drum major, espically during the fail part

  • My band sucks we only have 29 people

  • LOL> Best fall ever.. That looked like a barrel roll!! haha

  • people fall all the time in marching band...tempo isn't what makes you fall, its your feet.....idk why you're all like oh how'd you fall we go faster than this and don't fall..

  • I played that as a freshman in high school, we defiantly took it faster and no one fell.

  • @percussionbell Because you used proper technique.

  • @Andophonic Tis true. Poor technique was explicitly forbidden. Or excessive push ups ensued.

  • hilarious. (: i'mi in a band of 180 people from ohio, you're band is grreat!

  • HOW DID HE RECOVER SO FAST?

  • Good recovery, but...

Why isn't that person in uniform? Aside from the fall, which was handled well, s/he sticks out.

The caption says it's a football player - was the musician sick, or what happened? A show isn't something you just step into.

  • @truthnproof A lot of bands have football players/ cheerleaders/ pacemakers (something our school did alone with cheerleaders) so they have to join the marching band with their uniforms on instead of wearing marching uniforms.

  • @truthnproof its a half time show.. and seing that i was also a football player, it WAS something i just "stepped into" you should try stepping into a library or 2nd grade again to learn how to read since the caption for the video says i was in my fball uniform

  • @suprman4607 Don't be an ass. The caption says 'I was the only football player marching'. It kind of sounds like you were just a football player that "stepped in there."

  • @nolongerwinter shutup

  • @VerdiKtagrad Really? Way to keep up the "idiot football player" stereotype.

  • @nolongerwinter yep cause i dont play alto sax for the best band in ohio way to keep up the "idiot" stereotype.

  • @VerdiKtagrad Playing alto sax in a good band doesn't make you smart, as displayed by your lack of an ability to come up with your own reply rather than taking mine.

  • @nolongerwinter if im not the smart one how come your trying to argue idiocy, if you were smart you would have known that i was mocking you derp

  • @nolongerwinter i play alto sax in the LHS marching band and im kind of smart if i can say so myself

  • @9598dad

You can be really smart and play sax, I just said it doesn't make you smart.

I play flute and am in the guard, and I'm an Advanced Placement student.

  • @truthnproof we have to do it for one of the tenor saxes and a trombone its not bad unless its a competition

  • what school is this

  • @truthnproof they said they're a football player. duh!

  • @truthnproof - Some high schools allow football players to also be in the band. I know of a local band that has a football player as a marching band member. He doesn't change his uniform. The sight of him marching in his football uniform is great. And a school that can allow a student to pursue two different interests is serving that student very well!

  • I'm a freshman 3rd bass I have yet to fall and I want to keep it that way (fingers crossed) but next year I'm going to be a snare and its lighter and more compact so yay! :)

  • that recovery by the tuba player is impressive. it took me a second playthrough to notice it

  • I saw 2 mistakes o.o

  • I ave a question for you band people why you ating on the colorguard?

  • @kittehvlr cuz they think they're better than us n they think we give them low scores n some of them r hypocrites whe think we give them bad score but they cnt even stay on count with the drum major :) jus sayin

  • where was the fall? i didnt see it

  • i hate marching in those crazy hot uniforms, they make you feel like a hotpocket... thats why im in pit... :)

  • @CotDaTroll Pit five!

  • @CotDaTroll No your in pit cause you suck.

  • @Finchelforever9876

lol just cus i picked it up in 2 days doesnt mean i suck...

  • @Finchelforever9876 HEY HEY HEY!!!! WHAT THE HELL! Dont rip on the pit!

  • @CotDaTroll doesnt pit wear the same things as the rest of them?

  • @CotDaTroll or are you just talking about marching in them

  • @CotDaTroll Our pit still has to wear them lol :) LUCKYYYY!!!!

  • @CotDaTroll me too :)

  • @CotDaTroll Pussy :P haha JK, but I love marching! Even though it gets hot, there really is nothing like it!

  • @CotDaTroll I'm in the pit too! PIT POWER!!

  • @1chickie14 PIT: Percussion In Training. Lol. :P

  • @1chickie14 The first image that comes to mind upon reading those words is a very smelly armpit... Xb

  • they should hit it up an octave and do some liptrills

  • Stupid

  • Malaguena <3

  • i dropped my stick playing a tenor feature in front of my ENTIRE high school

we only carried 1 set of sticks

i played the entire show with one stick

    i feel your pain

  • BEST RECOVERY IVE EVER SEEN!

  • is that Maleguena we are playing that now

  • Kudos for getting up and getting back in the drill so fast. :) Sounds and looks pretty good for a high school band too.

  • This looks like it was at Choctawhatchee High School in FWB florida...

  • Hey is that Malaguena?? We've played that =)

  • @skittlezip I think every marching band ever has played that. lol :p

  • lol a reply is the top comment

  • to reply to everyones comment about the heat here or there...... i marched in the texas heat, i played football in the texas heat.. i grew up in the texas heat... THEN i marched a summer on tour with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle corps... 110 is the same in vegas or illinois or arizona.. the only difference is when youre in altitude or when its super humid outside.. humid heat is the worst everytime.. so pleeeease quit blowing up the comments with whos state gets hotter.. its all the same

  • @suprman4607 how in the world did you march with the blue knights? lol..
