  • "The Face upon the Barroom Floor", aka "The Face on the Floor" and "The Face on the Barroom Floor", is a poem written by Hugh Antoine d'Arcy in 1887 and first published in the New York Dispatch.

According to d'Arcy, the poem was inspired by an actual happening at Joe Smith's saloon at Fourth Avenue and 14th Street in Manhattan.

  • Reminds me somewhat of " The Dolly " and " The Old Man in The Bar " . Both by James A. Greer egreer1@ec.rr.com

  • i wish i could have seen hank live, a great cw singer

  • @tildee06 my dads fav he saw him

  • Hank Snow was the first country Singer I heard as a small child. I fell in love with Country Music the first time I heard him. My favorite Hank Snow album was "Tales Of The Yukon" doing the poems of my favorite poet Robert W. Service. This is one of the most beautiful albums I have heard in my 65 years.

  • Tales from the yukon is one of the most under rated albums ever i think, Hank Snow sang every song on that album with a feeling that has yet to be matched.
