@71259mark You know if you actually bothered researching what he says instead of banging fat girls at the stampede or getting incurable STDs from princess Stephanie, you would come to realization that a lot of Marine history is stolen Army valor. Being a marine myself I love marines, but our history is b.s. 1st Mar Div actually retreated and lost 3/4ths of its own strength in Chosin. They would have been annihilated by the Chinese if it werent for Army's 31 RCT.
@71259mark The entire Army 31st RCT literally died holding back reinforced Chinese units as Marines retreated over a bridge that was blown up by enemy forces and rebuilt by Army engineers. At the end of the war the Army units were called cowards for not picking up their dead. The Army units were literally stuck fighting to the death as Marines retreated and left them there to die, but those Army units are cowards? How does that work? Less beer and oorahing and more reading...
@71259mark no, I agree with him. I served in the Corps. What he says is true. A large portion of our history is fabricated. I suggest you put the beer and fat girl down. Then after you do that pick up a book. I understand a majority of you young devils nowadays can't read...but try it.
@71259mark His comment about Chapultepec Castle is also true. Soldiers scaled those walls and marines were told to fire on any enemy from outside the walls. Soldiers captured Chapultepec not Marines. Don't believe everything you heard in boot camp a large majority of it is b.s.
When a female reporter asked a marine sergeant about he and his men being possibly sent into harm's way, the sergeant replied, "Ma'am, we're United States Marines. We ARE harm's way."

I have been posting on Marine videos, pointing out how Marines pass off fiction as actual History. I have now been blocked from those sites. The Marine Corps can not deal with a retired Army Doctor who does not buy into their propaganda. The Marines give up.
@exarmydoc Sure you've had to study a few long nights, but I am very acquainted with the process of becoming a doctor, and the process of becoming one in the army for that matter, and it doesn't compare to anything close to Chosin. If you knew your history, you would know that what is being said in these videos is not fiction. You would also better understand that there are 18 year old kids who have accomplished more in their short lives than you could ever hope to.
@stayfit999 I know my history. I know much of what is passed off as Marine Corps History is not history. Google the term Commodore Barney at the Bladensburg races. It will take you to an article recently published in US Naval Institute Proceedings. According to that article, when Admiral Cockburn said they have given us the only real fighting we have had today, he was referring to Commodore Barney's sailors, not the US Marine contingent.

@stayfit999 Marines have claimed that the Marine Battalion in Winfield Scott's Army captured the Castle of Chapultepec in the Mexican War and then led the assault on Mexico City. Google US Marines in the Mexican War and you will find a Marine Publication downloadable as a pdf that tells the story differently, that the Marine Battalion never got close to Chapultepec, that Soldiers, not Marines, captured Chapultepec.
@stayfit999 Finally, a couple of Marine web sites describe the Battle of New Orleans as, a force of Marines under General Andrew Jackson inflicted a severe defeat upon the British. General Jackson's Army numbered between 4000 and 5000 Personnel. Only 58 were Marines.

Not true. I have been blocked from those sites because the big bad Marines can not handle the truth.
It will be the hardest mental and physical challenge you have ever had, but its important that you never give up. Never even consider quitting. Its the hardest thing you can do is earn that title, but at the same time its very easy if you have the right mindset...Hoorah and Semper Fi!

Too all my fellow Marines and to the people of this great nation. We will never surrender, we will never break, we will never back down from a fight. Just like in our past and forever in the future of our country we will always meet this great nations call with pride and courage.
I thank you, United States for saving our asses during the war. Republic of Korea exists today is because many of these good men gave their lives to defend it. Once again thank you. Remember, our alliance is a chain that can never be broken. Btw, does US marine corps accept foreign nationals? I really want to be part of it.
@killer00630 i no with the army u can join if ur a resident and im pretty sure its the same with the usmc. but im not sure u shud prolly do sum more research
China seems to be more and more assertive recently in proving its rise to the world. If not for the US, I think countries like China would have gone rogue by now and invade my country and we would all be eating dogs on our dinner table and be forced to speak ching chong :(
USA's presence is crucial in Asia Pacific region. I truly support it. It helps to keep the balance of power in check. I'm really grateful for the presence of the USS George Washington carrier ever since North Korea rained shells on South Korea. If only you could send more carriers and US Marines to this region. HO-rah
I'm from Singapore (a country in South East Asia). But I'm really thankful to the US Marines and America. My country was once under Japanese rule in WW2. Life was hard back then. When USA bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Japanese surrendered. A big thank you to USA military for liberating our country.

@EdgewaterUSMCJROTC I'm air force, but i thank your bro for what he has done. the Marines are the 1st defense, first in, last out, when rescues occur the Marines will be the first to lead into battle, from 1 soldier to another I thank you for your patriotism and pride, for willing to don the uniform that has so much history sewn into it, for doing nothing but the best to continue to defend our great nation! Come home safe and soon, and happy holidays. SEMPER FI!
@mycaddigo Thank you mycaddigo! But people like poplpopl12345 don't even deserve to be called maggots, I wish we could ship them all to a "Free" Country like Cuba, Iran, North Korea or any other Communist country where the only "propaganda" they see/hear is lies from the government/dictatorships. USMC is too much for this piece of a human being to even be acknowledge. Happy Birthday Marines!
The United States Marine Corps is the most professional, well train and best fighting force in the world I ever witness.I must say whoever earn the title USMC,they must be the best, because Marine Corps only accept the best individual to join. These group of young men and women give up their comfort at home to protect our nation. As a former Marine,I am proud of those men and women who are serving now and in the past and in the future.Let's our tradition live on.Semper Fi and happy birthday.
How do you explain the Vietnamese (one of the poorest countries at the time) defeating the US (the richest)?
A Vietnamese veteran explained to me that they considered one Vietnamese combatant to be worth two or three US combatants in a fight. They were better trained, braver and more dedicated. That's how they won.
God Bless the United States Marine Corps! Semper Fi my brothers! Everyone in this country can sleep better because the Marines are standing the watch, my deepest thanks for your unselfish service and Dedication to Duty!
@mycaddigo - It's closer to around 1:15. Especially considering his first act was to tell wounded Marines, soldiers, and "corpsemen" to pay for our war wounds with our own insurance. It's testament to the patience and professionalism of the staff way up there. But screw that guy.
God Bless the USMC. Thank you for sacrificing so much so that we may live in peace and prosperity. If I had not been a genetic defect, I would be right there shoulder to shoulder with you.
I cant wait to join!

SEMPER FI!

@EdgewaterUSMCJROTC air force pays at least 65% of the share, marines pay like a 20% at most

A very grateful and proud Marine Mom...........

@demars113
The US has perpetrated war crimes in Iraq. Since Nuremberg, the argument that those involved were only "following orders" is no defence.

@redword2007 All I said is I was going the Corps so get a life.

If put in a similar position, I hope you will have the courage to do the right thing as Bradley Manning did.

Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem.

@mycaddigo - It's closer to around 1:15. Especially considering his first act was to tell wounded Marines, soldiers, and "corpsemen" to pay for our war wounds with our own insurance. It's testament to the patience and professionalism of the staff way up there. But screw that guy.
