What gets me is that half the people on here talk shit but they weren't even born when the cars were nothing but shit. Give em a chance. Not that I care much either way but the Focus up untill this year had better mpg than the corrolla and better long term quality ratings I'm a Mechanic and I have seen an amazing amount of improvement in small domestic cars especially Ford the only domestic company to not have to take bail out money why because they make all cars just as good as anyone in the price range and often better. Ive seen ford v8s taxi cars get 400k+ miles on original power train many times.

Really I work on alot of cars and I have to say they are very reliable and the reports prove that they are just as reliable as corrola normally I would say thats bullshit but I work on lots of cars like I said and they really don't break down either way if I got a compact it would be a Civic, Mini, Versa(cheapest car), some thing cool looking focus is an ugly p.o.s. What's wrong with Ford reliability? I have a 74 F250 with 100K on it and I use it for my tree trimming servive because of it's reliability. Our Explorer has 150K miles on it and no major problems. And lastly my 88 GT had 250K miles on it when I sold it to my cousin and I ran the dogshit out of it every F-N day! I wouldn't waste a quarter squirt of piss to put a hyundai or bmw out if they caught fire, bmw is the worst as far as reliability once they're a few years old and get some miles on them
