  • This video made me hungry...

  • dont give me that shit, money is evil, full stop,

  • I would only marry someone that would stop and help!

  • Why the fuck is he speaking English... with English subtitles?

  • @rawssremix some people are deaf....

  • @HunterTyler Very interesting point of wiew!

  • amazing experiment....money vs evil....hhahha just kidding....

  • I don't agree with sirmacintoy's posit re:adrenaline & cortisol (stress) levels. Identical behavior has been observed in response to the availability of luxury goods. Luxury goods also "prime" individuals to be less concerned about or considerate toward others. How does riding in town cars and on flying in corporate jets stress people out?

  • This guy is obviously not prone to suggestions when it comes to hair style.

  • I'll be counting money every morning from now on!

  • I disagree, Money might have similar effects but my conclusion....Sugar=increased heart rate = increased pain tolerance and who stops to help on a sugar rush?

  • wow, this is really well filmed.. haha i liked how they kept it visually appealing while he was just simply talking. awesome experiment too

  • Couldn't it just be that, as they were just trusted handling a lot of money, they "owe" it to the researchers to get more into the project, by keeping their hands in longer, eating more, etc.?

  • Great experiment!!!!!! (effect of money)

  • I love how the use weasel words so unabashedly, "recent research" lolz

  • i mean stumble is awesome

  • My guess is that handling lots of money raised adrenaline & stress levels of the tests subjects - making them hungrier for sweets, less helpful and less susceptible to pain. They basically went into "hunt mode". A similar effect could probably be created by for example scaring the participants or injecting them with an adrenaline shot.

  • Definitely... I'd have to agree with you on that. Sure... Putting them into a "Fight or Flight" state might well have similar consequences. Keep thinking! :)

  • hi, stop telling everyone where you stumbled from

    Stumbled from OR.

  • no wonder my rich friend is an asshole xD

  • stumbled from montreal quebec :)

  • nope, i dont quite believe the first experiment... i think those who handled the money ate more sweets because subconsciously they think the researchers are rich, and can afford more sweets.

  • stumbled from jersey

  • stumbled from texas. quite interesting

  • Perhaps the ones who saw the money thought there might be a chance they'd get some if they did the experiments properly?

  • stumbled from NZ

  • stumble from queens ny

  • Came because of stumbled, stayed because of the subtitles. I love me some subtitles.

  • Stumbled! weird!

  • stumbled :) and found it pretty interesting.

  • It's a shame the research was not done scientifically:

    1) The researchers knew which group had to count what, so the researchers' expectations may have influenced the way they treated their test subjects; it was not a so-called "blind experiment".

    2) There were multiple variables. One group got different things to count AND different questions to answer, while only the latter was taken into account with the paper drop experiment.

With these points in mind the 98.6% has no meaning.

  • @gpeuhqt - Actually, a blind experiment, which this was, is scientific. It might have been better if it was a double-blind experiment.

  • @56jmoney Ok, yes, that was what I meant. (English is not my native language, I looked it up.)

Still, this sloppyness could easily have been avoided.

  • stumbled.

  • @HobbsMadness me too

  • ...so by that count, Cashiers should be obese, merciless warriors? Youtubers, your opinions please?

  • Hmm.. That was told long ago by yogis, for example if you see the laughing buddha statue it has a big belly and laughing Buddha has been associated with bringing in money and prosperity, so if you want money you must also have greed, it is inevitable. The degree of greed increases in direct proportion to money unknowing to us..

  • I'm sure random internet people have a deeper understanding than the people in the video >_>

  • Its not the money.. Its the lefthandedness

  • $ is simply gorgeous @_@

  • Its not the money make us hunger T.T

Its the boringness in ur stupid test >.>

  • interesting

  • I would love to be a part of studies like these to see how I am personally affected...

  • This was such an interesting peek into the subtle occurences from which we base our behaviors and decisions!

  • veiw 666 yeah!!!!!

  • This explains so much about the different attitudes of the rich and the poor.

  • thx for sharing, definitely makes you think what else we are conditioned to do
