I see nothing wrong with humane slaughter. As long as these animals don't receive this insanely cruel punishment. The way these animals here are treated is INSANITY. I fish. Not a lot these days, but when I do, and I catch a keepers, I knocked it out immediately if I'm going prepare it to eat. My uncle taught me that the animal deserves respect, and mercy, and humane treatment if it is to be eaten. I can't get my head around how someone can be OK with inflicting such insane suffering.
