I brewed that beer from mr. Beer and really liked it. I used 1 hme, 1 ume, 1 booster and corn sugar in the bottle. I dont remeber a metal tasting beer. My favorite mr. Beer is the octoberfest beer.
@brockettbrews Thanks for dropping by. I've done 7 or 8 Mr Beers and 3 of them had that taste, could be the cook. My fav Mr Beer with just their stuff in it is Jamacia Mon.
you have to remember the whispering wheat is a weizenbier. weizenbier is a german beer and it has a distinct taste to it that most americans are not used to. i brewed the whispering wheat by itself and thought it was weird at first but by the end of the first bottle i thought it was one of the best tasting beers i have had and CANNOT drink beers such as Bud Light anymore because of it
@adampietruszewski We finished the brew and the later bottles toned down nicely. While not my favorite style of beer, you are correct about it beating Bud Light and such. We are bottling Mr Beer Heartbreak Healer this weekend.
@pinkync I'm excited to hear how that turns out, I just used to west coast pale ale and added blueberries and honey too it and it should be ready to drink in a week.
your mr beer looks dark...was your malt old or did you not use enough water?
