it means where lower and upper lip touch, so it creates a deeper shadow there. giving the impression, that the lips are more curving inwards, and making the bright red part stand out more, making the lips look thicker. you can see it in the pictures...

Yeh, the trouble is, they never look like they do inthe tube once theyre on the lips. Ive bought 3 red lippys this months in the quest to find that perfect starlet red, only to find they look a cold pinky colour on me, and i look awful. Beginning to get fed up now.

any woman looks good in red lips if they do it right. alot of times you just need the right shade of red. well i think so.

maybe start with a tinted gloss first and work your way up, if you are afraid. don't get upset if you think it looks bad because it could just be the wrong shade of red for you.:)

you have to remember that there are tomato/orange reds and then there are blue/reds like crimson. The blue/reds tend to look better on paler creatures while the reds with a tad of orange tend to look better on tanned/dark skinned people. Like trashyfag said, experiment with glosses and you might find the right shade for you. Don't give up! All Women need luscious red lips!
