  • 4:35 omg santa works for nasa :D

  • what a fucking asshole @ 5:00

  • @billybazilly lol

  • With today's modern technology the LCROSS launched on Thursday, June 18 2009 and struck the moon on October 9th, the live video feed was horrible yet Apollo 11's journey to the moon in 1969 took three and a half days and the live video feed was perfectly clear. I KNOW! I'M A MENTAL PATIENT!

  • NASA needs to re-think their missions if they are getting applause just because something hammered in like a lawn-dart.

  • I wonder if they were destroying the ancient alien ship they found there back in the Apollo mission?

  • No high five?? :(

  • what a joke they didnt shoot shit at the moon . or aliens would have came out of it like a wasps nest. and they know it !

  • this shit is fake until nasa provide actual footage of the blast and ice tooken from the camera.

  • @XMtnDude "Tooken"? My, what an unusual language. Tell us how long you've been speaking in "Caveman"...

  • @mickeyhfgg about 20 years

  • 5:00 lol, the office monkey with no friends...

  • OMG...there is so much home MADE CRAP ON you tube

  • all this tech and no camera visual!.. this is BS!.. All our satalites and they give it a 4 minute view that has no view.. you fing idiots.. Your all fired.

  • This was a nuclear weapon with a large payload to see how large the thermal signature would be. The data they wanted from this mission is 1, to see if there is water, and 2 to see if the missile would change the moon's orbit. and 3 to see if there is any volcanic activity under the crust.

  • @995sunglasses thats way off, it was not nuclear, but a kenetic weapon with no explosive warhead, and they wer looking for water ice or vapers of H20

  • @101andrewj

Did it have a nuclear fuel power supply?

  • @mscir no the satelite (sorry poor spelling) was powered by solar panels

  • @mscir no, conventional rocket fuel powering ion boosters just like satellites... in space, their is no resistance, so it doesnt take much to get something going fast, and once its going, it doesnt slow down... this was kind of liek shooting a bullet into the dirt, exept the bullet was a spacecraft, and the dirt was the moon... we are yet to build any sort of spacecraft with a nuclear power supply

  • if there was oxygen on the moon I bet we would be up there already building.

  • @995sunglasses and there is oxygen on the moon, it was confermed durring this very mission

  • take the computers and run now boys!.. what did you actually do up there?

  • Well... that was a waste of good money...now whatta' wanna' do now Bob?

Bob: I dunno' ?? ...go shoot beer bottles with my kids BB gun?

  • days after i couldn't find any video, and i still haven't seen the explosion. *sigh*

so much for seen a big bang

  • Do you really think these assholes in this little sorry ass office are in charge of something like this? Come on, this is a front. There was bombs on that thing. They bombed something that was living on the moon. Think about it, why haven't we been back to the moon and why such a rush to beat the Russians there in the first place? We don't have any military up there yet or any scientists living up there learning how this universe was made? Educate yourself.

  • FUUUUUUUCKKKKKK RUUUUUU MOOON!

    FUUUUUUCK RUUUUUUU WRRHHALE!

    /southpark

  • Where is the source video?

  • lol shame on that man why no hi five pmsl

  • NASA guys I thing you have played a lot of MS-DOS games that effect in your mind LOL :p

btw get a new engine for the moon !#$#$@%$

  • Not only did they find water,They found structures.

They're about to announce to the world soon Aliens exist.

  • that dude just left the other guy like WTF

  • Haha we trashed our planet pollution in the air, pollution in the water, pollution in orbit. This is just a cover up for the moon becoming a dumping ground in space

  • 5:00 is PRICELESS!! LOL

  • They DID find water!!!

  • This was crazy important because if they had found water, they could have built a space station to mine uranium that could power the earth for 100+ years with no emmisions.

  • I couldnt see shit, what the fuck

  • were going to be going soon to colonise so finding what resources we can use as a posed to carrying water would be a critical step just except it were going to leave this planet and do what humans do best.Explore

  • lol at the guy below me, thinking that LCROSS would have made even the slightest dent in lunar orbit. I think it can take a pummeling. Look at its craters! The solar wind probably has a billion times more influence on it then LCROSS did.

  • Yeah, because exploring is far less important than babysitting poor people.

    Short sighted idiot

  • @crakamartin Just think of it as planning for the future. The people losing their homes today may be able to be government housing on the moon or mars sometime in the next 10-25 years.

  • no high five?? xaxaxax

  • this is all good some americans just can't quit fucking each other up over money human kind is trying to evolve NASA and the russians are thinking outside this this stupid box everybody wants to be into if my country invested money into something like this It would be a thing to be proud of

  • What and expensive pile of shit, and we all paid for it!

  • IT FOUND WATER, you insensitive clods. The impact produced one of the greatest discoveries in space exploration in many years, and you are whining that the fireworks weren't pretty enough? WTF? GET A GRIP, you friggin' militia nutjobs!

  • You are a professional comedian, right? You do this as a part of variety show you are producing or something? Dislodge it's course?? Are you out of your mind??? The Moon is impacted by meteorites much heavier than this minuscule little satellite *all the time*!

  • @ muzikscud23

WTF are you talking about ?? The moon has been bombarded for Billions of years with objects as big as comets.

The biggest lunar crater being nearly 1,400 miles across and 8 miles deep. Lcross was the size of a school bus and left a crater 60--100 feet and 16 feet deep at best. Stop and take a science class before you post comments that make no sense and sound like a 4 year old.

  • haha wow, you have no clue about physics, do you?

  • You sir are a thick cunt

  • "No High Five?" LMAO

  • High five buddy? F U biatch... get to work!

  • hmm...very suspicious, this video actual shows nothing...did it happend at all ?

  • Well the American government needs to get its nukes up their somehow, love the test for water excuse.

  • "There" for you grammar police.

  • alot of dark deeds have been done to protect the monetary system

  • nasa is a fake..

  • idiot

  • haha

  • you guys need to do some research before you start making s**t up

  • they should climb the stack of money that they spend on this shit to get to the moon.

  • money is only paper, what good is it if humans dont use it for things like this.

  • not spend, Wasted...

  • jajaja, no fucking five!

  • trying to see a refrigerator sized object from 400,000km away isnt easy.

we can see the ISS orbiting, is that fake?

NASA employes directly and indirectly 1,000's of people.. the equipment is built and anyone whos interested can go to the contracted companys and see the work in progress on a guided tour.

this satellite's mission was finished and this impact is just an experiment to detect water. how is it so hard to imagine a man made object making it to the moon?

  • but this was the THIRD mission to detect water on the moon, we already knew that before this mission was aproved...

The search for "Water on the Moon." was a perfect cover story, the real mission was the LRO (Lunar Reconniassance Orbiter)

LCROSS was a simple "add-on" mission "to look for water ...", the core idea behind this was a clever "misdirection" to turn away the attention to the REAL mission. see 'smoking gun' from Richard C Hoagland's website for more info on what is happening

  • ok i gave it a read, and its interesting stuff.. the writer goes to some extremes over some blurry images. to say a blurry line is proof of massive underground citys on the moon is a bit insane.

just reminds me of that face on mars that people said was proof of little green men those same people quietly dropped it after it was seen from another angle. there are many ways different formations can occur on the moon, objects dont always hit straight on plus overlapping strikes

  • then he goes on to point out the far side of the moons obvious visual differences but that also can be explained by differences in radiation and impacts by facing earth for billions of years. i agree its strange that nobody could see this impact.. it could also be nasa trying to regain public support for their programs in a troubled economy with limited spending.

    increased interest means more funding.

thats a better explination then the idea of underground alien citys.

  • but how would they acieve that with this non event. first they hype up this mission and they say it would be vissable on earth (even with the naked eye) for millions of people, then.... nothing, millions of people now disapointed, many are angry because they hyped up non event, so it accieved the opposite, dont you agree?

all they 'produced' was 3-5 lighted pixels, and that on only their own measurment equipments, which took a full week to produce, if i may add...

  • i do agree it did the opposite, maybe they honestly thought it would produce more of a result!

why would they hype up a mission to find alien citys on the moon?!

could have taken many pictures of it by now, could have accomplished such a mission many other ways. to say because we couldnt see it from earth as expected means aliens is pushing limits of sanity

  • they didnt hyped up the mission to find alien citys on the moon, they hyped up the mission to find water on the moon (but we know about 30 years now that there is water there, i think it was the rusians in the 70ties), and the hyped up the fact that the impact would be seen from earth. (nothing to see at all, not even with large telescopes, just a few pixels from their own equipments all those ppl who where looking at the moment it would happen, all disapointed, some even mad)

  • not the first time a mission has failed is it?

definetly not the first time expected results were disproved.

you could argue they were looking for moon cheese with this mentality

  • my question then would be, howcome the smartest ppl in the world, fuck up so many times, unless they terminate some missions delliberatly (atleast for public view) or cover up missions results because they find something that is subject to the 'brooking's report'.

but then again, if it is all about more money, then by all means, lose this monetairy system fast, because it is holding us back, not just space exploiration, but as a spiecies in general.

compartmentalization is the key to how!

  • well space is largely about experimentation. the people of nasa are extremely good at predicting results, but theres still many unknowns and variables that arent accounte for. thats how lessions are learned. we really arent very advanced in space exploration so expect a lot more unexpected results.

  • i agree, and i do, but not under the caller of "arent very advanced in space exploration so expect a lot more unexpected results" that doesnt answer all my questions, there are to much examples of nasa deliberatly lying to us (edditing or manipulating foto's)

(ex. saturn's moon Iapetus, which has a wall 12 miles high all around the moon (900 miles), i simply can not accept that is natural/normal because of tidal pulls of saturn) Then why theorize, if they do not know, why not investicate?

  • Because they are smart, not perfect.

  • From amateur size telescopes to the professional ones, everybody was watching and no one saw anything, accept NASA. A bit odd.

  • lol no high-five

  • Something is wrong, I think the goal was not hit...

But I also think that the goal might be different from that stated officially!

Some people even talk that the impact would have created a crater with a diameter of 4 miles and I don't believe this is happened...

Something is definitely wrong but I suppose that NASA already has an excuse for us to calm down immediately.

We want and need the truth...

    Enough with the lies!!

  • They are giving away some cool tech stuff on OpinionGoodies. com

    *thumbs up*

  • If the moon people weren't mad at us before, they certainly are now.

  • why did everything become white? doesn't make sense

  • WTF!

  • This video starts a few seconds after the impact, so it's no wonder you can't see anything. You should watch some of the other footage - around the time the controller says "mark", you'll see a faint heat signature a few pixels wide, a little bit below the center of the screen in the dark area. It only lasts a second or two.

  • I hear alot of comments from NASA apologists. Where are your apolgies for them that they lost and/or DESTROYED the tapes from the first moon mission??? Anyone? "Oh , woops it was an accident.. but NASA IS WONDERFUL AND YOU MUST NEVER DOUBT THEM!!! " Hm.. no. I'm not impressed with NASA one bit. I don't care HOW much water they've found (AFTER the Indian mission already found water on the moon in Sept., athankyew), they're still either grossly neglectful or dissembling. LCROSS is no different.

  • the stupid Indian guy forget that he put is bottle of water inside their damn missile.. if you check their findings closely.. you'll see that their reports also show a findind of chicken ticka masala.. so... there you go?

  • hehehe chicken ticka masala.... ^.^

(Looks like an apologist gave me a thumbs down. Oh well! I give thumbs down to NASA for their erasure of the moonlanding tapes. Nyeah!)

  • tru story.. :)

  • 70 million bucks and they strapped a fucking $10 webcam to the front.

    good going guys.

  • wow look what happened to the guy in the red shirt at 5:00......LAWL

  • HAHAHAHHAH! He totally left him hangin! ^.^ That was worth the whole crap video because, frankly, I'm disappointed. It's like we got strung along and promised stuff that never manifested. Meh. That's the last bit of attention I pay NASA until they show me little green men.

  • yea im waiting on that day as well. But did you see how he left him hangin, wow. And that dude that was hanging didnt know wat to do so he just start talking the the guy next to him. If you pay attention closely that guy next time tells him, "bro you were totally hanging" LMAO

  • nothing happened, just lost another 70 millions dollars.surprise!

  • That was underwhelming.

  • NASA have surpassed themselves with this one--'Hey guys, we need to show live video of a moon impact, but not actually show it not happening, ideas?'

'Sure, just put a blank screen up, then cut to the control room, followed by an infra red image that shows nothing'

    'Great, I'll go with that'.

  • this is fucking pathetic, NASA is a fucking joke. Primitive technology is still being used, why? because people, especially nasa, are fucking stupid as fuck. Even sweden has more advanced technology than us, they even make their planet rovers spherical instead of shitty little cars with wheels that are useless if they fall over. Fucking lame pathetic and primitive USA

  • Wow. NASA managed to make a massive explosion one of the most boring things ever witnessed by mankind. Congratu-fuckin-lations.

Now when the hell are we gonna go to Mars? Hell, if not that, at least get a goddamned moon base up on Luna? I mean, Jesus fucking Christ, what the hell is NASA waiting for? Another Cold War? The first got us to the moon in under a decade. It's been 40 years since then and dropping a bomb on the moon and making it dull as fuck is the best mission we can come up with?

  • they would need to get billions of dollers to make a base up there and they would need to be bringing air, food and water nonstop for the peeps up there

  • I agree completely. What a massive letdown! And if they KNEW it was going to be like this, why did they let on otherwise? To acquire funding through the interest and goodwill of the people? I feel like I've been suckered....

  • ahahahahaahaahahah final is the best...better than impact xD ihihi

  • Why did NASA publicize this underwhelming video? The vantage point of the command vehicle is too far back to see anything. Haven't they heard of telephoto lenses?

  • go flight,,,,o.1 payload this is science...

change the rate to 1.0 megahertz,,,

see i can do this BS too.....

    ahhhh hahahahaha

  • they should show the dust cloud that it was ment to make if it was real

  • i meant denied high-five!! hahaha makes me laugh everytime

  • lol i cracked up at the denied lol

  • I bet the crashing of the satellite mission does not even exist. They probably kept the 80 million dollars.

  • mmdddaa... year 2009 and we even don't have an amateur like video of the impact, just a few photos. :(

  • Exactly what I was thinking - pretty pathetic considering what we should be capable of.

  • Pure SNL!

Oh wait was that Justin Timberlake at the back with the beard?! Or was it the guy who served me at my local music store?

    Save meCheezus!

  • I never thought NASA in these days would try to pull of something faker then the original moon landing scam!

    4:39 Superman returns again! lol

  • ha ha

  • the high 5 snub was a racist incident

  • wow great video thanx nazi i mean nasa trillions of doolars later and this is the best video, fucking fucktards

  • they are trying to find new home to live there after they finish with the land

  • 4:13 - >> " Copy, Science."

    I lol'd

  • Hahaha!

  • america is going bankrupt and we are bombing the freakin moon to look for water to the tune of around $100 million bucks???

    we are doomed.

  • no high five for the brother....that is cold...

by the way this was done in my buddies basement, these are all actors...

  • Hahaha!

    Totally!

Nasa thinks every one's retarded and that we believe their bullshit fake ass home made vid!

I mean what's up with the guy standing up like superman?!

    It's a sad joke!

  • Hahaha, the high five moment!!! EPIC!

  • HEY marytanned37... your comment way off hand. your thikin about sex when we are all watching about space and science!!!!

  • NASA it at it again with its antiques!!!! You guys never learn!!! You keep believing this guys in NASA. Everything is just a show so that they could justify the billions of dollars they are wasting!!! ThinK man...THINK!!!

  • It's true. The perspective doesn't change as it get's closer, the shadows don't move or anything. And that pathetic animation. Don't tell me that NASA doesn't have any better video equipment than this to record a historic event. This is a HOAX! What for though?

  • really? the best they have is an animation not even any actuall footage

  • Why do people love finding controversy out of the simplest things? Grow up.

  • ahahahahaha...this mission SUCKS!!...

dozens of telescopes looking and no one saw anything ... it was all very odd and strange...

the images from NASA are SHIT!

  • high five was the best part.... and all the dumb ass comments

  • Is it me, or is there no actual impact on the video. The screen goes white, they switch to IR, then show the animation they made.

  • Why don't Americans stay in their country and leave the rest of the world and space in peace ?

And when I say americans, I don't mean the tax payer that has got no Idea about what goes on in the White House / Pentagon.

They are just sheep, like the rest of us.

Even though they don't admit it !!

Give the world a break. Let the rest of the world Breath !!! STAY inside your country that you say is so better than the rest and live us alone.

  • Why dont you STFU? And mind your own business? This has nothing to do with you.

  • hey hey !!! Some extremist mindless ultra nationalistic bugger you are, aren't you !!!

    Calm the FUCK down !!!!

You guys started when you said " One small step for MEN... " (If is a internal stuff ... keep it american...) " Is a small step for an American and a Giant Step in our propaganda strategy, to convince everyone that we are a superior race. "

Adolf Hitler would be proud !!!

Don't speak for humanity when you only think that americans are humans !!! RACIST PIG !

  • Wow you are an idiot. its "one small step for man" not Men. IF you dont like Americans or our stuff then get off YOUTUBE. Stay off the internet Because that also was an American invention. You know nothing about American so shut your hole.

  • Hey Mohojo !!! Are you a NAZI ?

Or just another REDNECK republican !!!

You got a lot to learn about life.

And try to remove some of the sand in your vagina !!!

  • Nope neither actually but goes to show everyone how Sexist you are. I know plenty about life. you need to learn to live with people from different places.

  • Hey dude, don't you think that you should stick with reality.

You cannot just come here and say that I am a Sexist when for not a single moment nothing of that nature was even mentioned !!!

And I asked you a question about the NAZI thing. I did not say you were a NAZI.

You have some issues I don't know about, but I guess you should talk about them. I don't have the power to read minds.

You lost me there dude !!! I don't know anymore what you're on about !!!

  • On that note. I guess your the nazi and not me.

  • To your comment about learning to live with people from different places. I've shared houses with Italians, French, Polish, Brazilians, Canadians, Swedish, Scothish, Americans etc..

you name it. And people are all alike. Some are dushbags other are nice. Doesn't depend on their nationality. Depends on lots of stuff.

I've lived in 4 different countries. And have friends all over the world. I love mixed enviroments.

25% of the polution in the world comes from AMERICA. Did you know that ?

  • Watch the visual camera picture carefully nad you will notice that the perspective doesn't change as it approaches impact.

That's because it's a studio camera closing in on a 2 dimensional photo.

  • Holy smokes, everyone ... You've got to check out Moon Rising documentary...

  • boring!

  • "Hai five? noo?"

    Owned.

  • Hahaha no high five :D

  • wtf, they want to blow up the moon!!

    what they want,

that the moon shoot back xD

  • Quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever watched.

  • No high 5 LMAO !

  • wut the hell am i watching

  • There is no water on the moon. It is a rock!!!! Wasting money again!!! If it did cost 73 million that was a huge waste. Look within people, look within. Going more green will help.

  • Lmao no water on the moon? they found water months ago...

  • not enough to sustain life though...

  • The Earth is a rock too, plenty of water there.

  • ur right plenty of water HERE, no THERE

they could have paid me 10 million and i could have told them that...didnt need a 73 million dolalr project to tel us that.

  • סתם שטויות

  • dude come on no HIGH FIVE

    you killed him :D

    you are mean :)

  • Awe...I would have high fived him!! Haha!!

  • LOL why is NASA using somebody's basement for this? I thought project cost was $79million, can't afford better office?

  • dude! the the hell is the explosion, where is the cloud of dust, all i'm saying is, i did'nt see shit. and anyways didn't they go to the moon allready back in the 60's why didn't they just go there again, that shoud be easier today shouldn't?

  • it was a scam wasnt it? US just didnt want to lose to Russia so they faked it

  • Well some people believe that was just Bullshit and it was covered up by PR.

  • said the nigger who calls himself "cuntlickerr"
