Hello and thanks for posting. I have 3BU180, 1937 Plll Windovers, that needs some woodwork. I think the wood looks like a zebra wood type. wondering where to find info on different wood types of these old Rolls.
I really admire the skill and craftsmanship that goes into making and restoring the veneer from these motorcars. Have you thought about making a video where you record yourself working on the wood at all the different stages so we get to see how it's done and the right way to use all of the products that you mentioned. I'd love to be able to do it myself!
i recorded stan scantlin, who refinished the wood for my car. this was installation day, so this is all i have (but you can see some of the wood before and interim thru the restoration on my flickr page which is linked in the comments).
