  • Do you have any idea how jealous that makes me. I run an old 1985 GTO 52.

  • Very nice!

  • my old speedmaster 1992 at 11000

  • yeah Heidelbergs are the daddies and that is a nice machine! hope ye keep it well maintained

  • i run a 41 inch 2009 xl105 6 c with a coater baddest press on the planet i run 18000 all day long i will post a video and show how its done best so far115000 shts in 8 hrs shift

  • @budman3027 haha that is bad ass mate, look forward to your video :)

  • Я на такой работаю

  • Are you printing money???

  • i run a 6 color with varnish Komori L640 year 1998.when i have to print only 4 color and without varnish and if the sheet is about 130gr 61\86 i can go by 13.000 but usually im no hurry.there is crisis everywhere and no costumers,so i print slow and carefully.i think my komori has max speed 16.000 sheets per hour.not sure!!!

  • i have never seen one of these run at 18000, well maybe cause all of our are taken care of by idiots and barley run at 10000

  • no to dostała wycisk :-)

  • Comment removed

  • haha the brick densitometer. We have one of those.

  • Oh how I miss printing. I have been out of the pressroom for 15 years. Had many miles on a GTO 5 color and a KORD,Harris 125 and another big 1950's Harris that you had to copper the rollers every morning.......... Nice to see a Speedmaster crankin it out!

  • @1947dodgewf32 Why did you get out of printing??

  • My work are getting one installed in our Newcastle plant, but i know it won't be running at them speeds!

  • adjust the vacuum on ur belt...the shieet looks to be moving

  • Nice work! I used to run one of these flat out too all day every day. If you use good products and keep the press well maintained it will look after you. I see also you are using huber inks a good choice (used them for years and now sell them)!! Try Substifix AF for 5 to 0% IPA, its tried and tested in UK up to 18000 iph on speedmaster XL's!!!

  • damn pull error in press delivery identification display men..lolzz...

  • full speed it's not 15000 but 18000............

  • @ballacacata yer one day i hope to be posting at 18000

  • @nzprinter then try kba rapida 106....

  • @ballacacata it is 15 k 18 k is the xl or newer

  • zapierdala jak wściekła

  • Wow the wells fill them selves now im impressed lol. Blows my old 91 SM out of the water.

  • Heidelberg are very well in the market with a great quality and innovative technology totalmnte I love these machines

  • currentley i run an sm8p where i work have just installed a xl75 10 p should be running mid jan heidelberg sure make great presses

  • year of the machine?

  • installed june 2006

  • woow... super speed... ;)

  • Nice one!

But I don´t miss the 74. Was working on one when I was in my apprenticeship. Mine was a SM 74 5C DI with the old varnishing unit. It was a bunch of scrap in my oppinion. We had a lot of problems with scratches on the backside and had to mask alot on the counter-pressure-cylinder. Quite bad if you have no place on the sheet.

After that I was working on the SM 102 and right now on the new 105 XL.

    Wish you a nice register.

    Greetz from germany.

  • @isegrinns "Wish you a nice register."

    ...my thoughts entirely!

  • Hey man, slow it down! The only person to benefit is the boss and and if something goes wrong with the job you will get demoted to working a Heidelberg platen, your wages will get dropped aswell.

  • @00fallon Platen work is becoming more skilled and sought after every day. you never know - he might get a pay increase!

  • @00fallon I hate printers like you, grow some balls. Mine runs flat out most of the day, and if its not running above 15, my boss asks why, and rightly so, its built to run at the highest quality at that speed.

  • @pikeluke84 You repeat that comment when your boss takes you upstairs for an iqusition into a job that you f*****d up.Anyway,is it low cost high turnaround junkmail you produce? In that case you should be running the press even faster.Quality and quantity are there to choose from;both do not get on as history will show.

  • @00fallon ???? wot the fuck just because you cant do a top job at speed doesnt mean the rest of us cant, last year i won gold medals for print jobs done on that machine at that speed, i do point of sale for the largest retail chain in new zealand, as well as direct vocuher rewards mailers that are personal and foil stamped and diecut for the largest supermarket chain australia and new zealand, as well as stamps that go around the world, dont judge people by ur shit skill level,

  • @nzprinter sooner or later you will be responsible for a major reprint,I shit you not.You will produce rubbish, perhaps on a nightshift when you are worried that your wife is having an affair,or some other reason, point being we are not robots,we are human and as such prone to human error.Airliners crash, printers f*** up.Will you be able to take the lumps for it?

  • @00fallon Ahaha! i just found out that you're the idiot that commented on the 12 colour speedmaster, 'your ducts look low who's checking them?' (It oviously has an ink line topping the ducts up as you can see in 40% of the screen. And 'who's checking the job?' (obviously the number 2 as its a 12 colour.) Your living in the past mate, get with the times.

  • Printing 15.000 sheets per hour and measuring densitometry with a GretagMacbeth DC19 (it appears at 0:51) and managing it by hand?

  • Would love to see it print on other side at that speed..As i have been a printer for 30 years and always have to run at slower speeds on back up if its not perfecting. But thanks for uploading it. Your boss is loosing money if its not running 24/7, So in running it at top speed some of the 24 hours is a waste of revenue. The worst press i have ran is a roland 600 5 colour with aquaeus varnish that was a nightmare. Always the top press is heildelberg by a huge margin.

  • backing up at 1500 iph in this video, but yer your right i would normally backup at that speed unless it's a big run. thaks for your comments,

  • @thetroll007 XL105's have very good feeders. I back up at 18'000iph all the time! The worst press ive been on is a ryobi 750 4 colour + coater, horrible press.

  • is any one using heidelbergs "hybrid screening"?. if so any good?

  • yep that's right two colour, great machine's your very lucky to be on one.same model?

  • hence the name "speedmaster"

  • and im a printers assistant like the bro loading up the stack at the end of the video and i dont see the point in running a machine that fast cause only the boss gains from it and the printer runs a higher risk of a reprint if something goes un noticed and i dont get a chance to read the paper and have my food on nightshift

  • im guessing you guys run 24hours, im running single shift, so im there until the work is done so the faster it's done the sooner i get to go home. some of the runs are into like 250,000+ so the 15000 an hour is pretty slow after 18hours of running. mate it's all in the prep if your looked after your machine, problems will be a min. and problems will happen at 10000/phr to ah.

  • not bad, boss will be glad.

I like the dude piling up in the end huh.

    What alcohol percentage?

  • when i did this video i was using "combfix xl" with 10% ipa, about two weeks ago i put in some old "fs-12 superdot" using 11.5% ipa, an is now going like a dream, what about you?

    and what's your machine?

  • mine is speedmaster 102/2p and lowered alcohol from 10 to 8 percent, with 2 percent emerald3100 (aditive) and running smooth aswell

I don´t know those you use.

    later.

I read Heidelberg was using 3 percent ipa at german expo this year.

  • we work with 3 percent alcohol and it running perfect;)

  • Thanks for the reply, fantastic speeds.

  • we work treble shifts and the printer i work with is a top man cause he runs his 6 color b1 speedmaster at 6,000sph and no faster and that gives us a chance on nightshift to kick back and watch the television or go online.

  • hahaha full speed....u rocks man...
