It's a shame about Honda because I do believe they are one of the most solid quads on the market. I have watched several test on ATV TV and other youtube vidoes of the Rincon and Grizzly 660 and I have to tell you my next purchase will more than likely be the Grizzly. Love the locker, low gear, suspension. Thanks for all the test and I am gonna trust your opinions on the ATV's. Maybe Honda needs to take some advice instead of looking at it as an insult instead of sayin WE ARE HONDA..so SHHH!
my friends arctic cat 500 is not great it has total understeer the shifter tries to pop out of gear when jumping and there is not a choke on the handelbars
I have the same quad. I think the choke is electronic. I dont think it steers bad for such a wide and heavy atv. You have to watch your foot placement near the shifter if jumping, but I've never had a problem like popping out of gear.
mhmm. i have an 06 foreman, which i love, but im disapointed that honda would pull out of your show... because from what i've seen you test the atv's in the smae conditions and ride them the same way..
you said you didn't have a good relationship with honda. is this from the review of the 2006 honda rincon when you said it had a silly three speed auto tranny?
I owned an 05 Rincon for 2 years and was really dissapointed with it..The tall first gear was a killer here in the mountains..Felt like a second gear when climbing steep trails. No one here will buy them now because of that and also no engine brake. Stalling was bothersome and just felt very under geared for such a large machine....It did ride very smooth and the comfort was good..Other than that it was not good here but maybe better in the flat lands.
Can I ask what happened with Honda. thanks

Too many media outlets - too few loaner units I suppose.
Nowadays with the economy like it is many of the companies don't even have departments to supply test machines!

I'm pretty sure that anything with racks was not intended to come off the ground;-)

HOW TRUE! The long suspesion travel absorbs some small 2ft hump jumps though.

If Honda doesn't like to play with the big boys, then they can go back to little league and play their.

It is sad, because they do make great machines. It was only a few years ago that we were accused of being "too partial" ;-)
