In an interview the director of Queen of Outer Space said that Zsa Zsa Gabor seemed somewhat put out by the interest the film crew were taking in the many tall leggy hot babes in the film, & not in her. Many of them were beauty queens (Miss Idaho etc.), I.e. more beautiful than Zsa Zsa & younger.
The men remain remarkably composed in the taut, nerve-tingling minutes leading up to the Queen's activation of her death ray which will "destroy the planet that you call Earth". How fortunate for us all that Zsa Zsa, with just a subtle but meaningful look, signals her gals to attack.

I caught a couple of mistakes. Look at the third girl in the hallway with the green top and yellowish skirt. At :58 she is in the hall. At 2:04 she is in the background to the left. At 3:07 she's back in the hallway. The other one is when the machine is blowing up. At 4:00 you see the queen's burnt body on the floor. A few seconds later she's alive. A couple seconds later there's nobody in the room, then at 4:13 you see her burnt body again.
Note all the stuff recycled from "Forbidden Planet": the spacemen's uniforms, Walter Pidgeon's black outfit, the blaster weapons, and the fourth girl from the left at 2:33 is wearing one of Anne Francis's dresses.
BRAVO!!! This is truly classic -B- ..Did anyone notice the ummm.. shape of the control
sticks in the -BETA DISINEGRATOR-?? just b-4 the Queen was overcooked..also,a tidbit,this movie must have been a favorite of Giorgio Moroder,there are 2 key sound effects that are identical in Donna Summers -Sunset People song...........
I let somebody borrow this movie several years ago. I want it back !! This film was very scarey the first time I saw it, when I was very young. But once I became interested in girls, it was a "MUST SEE"! Hollywood should remake this movie. Or maybe a TV mini-series. I would love to see what actress Laurie Mitchell looked like without that mask, and the radiation burn make up. This film is a classic! Outstanding!
Mini skirts and high heels, see, things havent changed all that much. And Zsa Zsa looks sooo hot.
