  • Global warming on wheels.

  • Black and white smoke!!

  • too bad it looks gay as fuck

  • not enough black smoke the people there could still breathe

  • @ausdublin Way to bitch at me over a YEAR after I posted that... And I'm not entirely sure what it is that you want me to read? The title of the video is "World's Fastest 1/4 Mile Diesel Pickup Truck", and at the time of ME viewing this video, Banks was faster. Still, arguing about this a complete waste of time.

And by the way, diesel "performance" doesn't impress me. Show me a diesel-powered vehicle of any kind that runs sub-six second timeslips in the quarter and then I'll be impressed.

  • @nodnreh911 You are an idiot.

  • @sweedspeed18 I challenge you to quantify that statement.

  • woo!! go green down south!! de turk er jerbs!

  • is Keating Machine and Gale Banks Sidewinder the samething anyone????

  • *smoke...smoke..green light..* and then it was GONE!!!!

  • what was the top speed at the end??

  • Lol people arguing and the funny thing is one is just less wrong than the other

Ford diesels dont smoke because of DPF, Diesel particle filters, and burn clean because of Urea injection. Google is yoyr friend.

  • Nitrous gas will beat that

  • Stupid Americans..

  • I'm going to close the comments on this one...there are just tooooo many stupid people in the world. Get your jabs in while you can...BTW: this was 2007 my friends!

  • @missrunt awsome vid dude, love the Diesel trucks. i agree aswell , Youtube is full of idiots, assholes, ricer faggots, immature kids, loosers, and retards who have nothing better to do than cause shit.

  • @missrunt

    I agree with you.

    It's getting worse.

They can't even read the comment they're responding to!

Most on youtube will never build anything-

their opinions are basically worthless echos of some imaginary or exaggerated feat that their friends or family did.

If only those who had gone faster could criticize,

    you wouldn't have this problem.

I've gone faster but not in the1/4 and I'm not criticizing ANYBODY who actually runs the track....

and not just their mouth or keyboard.

  • i heard Al Gore was the driver.

  • actually the stuff you see and the stuff you don not see coming out of all the cars around the world in the last 50 years is not a wort on a nats ass compared to what a volcano dumps in the air in a single day

  • on normal roads he must be going in 5th gear :P

  • seemed like an 1/8th mile track

  • i hate upidy, crunchy, granola eating, sandle wearing, tofu craving, subaru driving, obama voting, self righteous pricks that bitch about environment. go buy your jap crap from the country with NO emiision laws where the plants dump raw chemicals into the ocean and have no scrubbers on their factories stacks. and then, go live in your city where they clear cut everything to make you life easier, with your malls, and apartment complexes. hypocrites.

  • @rroberts383 There is nothing wrong with sandles you rubber boot wearing fuck!

  • @rroberts383 I am a hard right conservative. I have no problem with common sense environmental laws. If you do, you are free to drink lead and benzene infested water and breathe partially burned hydrocarbons (= cancer) or whatever. People go over the top with it, but you just did in the opposite direction. Big business is NOT your friend in any way. Thomas Jefferson was a far left liberal of his day, and he said big cities will be the death of the Freedom project.

  • @rroberts383 best comment I ever read

  • @rroberts383 youre such a fuckin idiot

  • This guy is going green all the way! :)

  • The arabs are doin flat 8's up sand dunes, but this is still awesome for what it is.

  • holy crap thatspower

  • thats cool with the black and white smoke

  • clearly not the world's fastest diesel pickup truck...Gale Banks has got ya beat by more than a second

  • @nodnreh911 read the damn title and year this was posted

  • @missrunt what modification did you do to this beast. is it propane injected? how many psi were running at the time of this race?

  • @nodnreh911 learn to read dip shit!

  • Fantastic! Awsome acceleration and as much smoke as the diesel loco's I work on!

  • This is not a truck but a train

  • lol there is a rip in the ozone layer right above the truck lol that rocks

  • @crisco1up lol no diesel falls back and pollutes the ground not the ozone

  • It is a 5.9

  • @MegaTurtle1989

    I think so,right side exhaust...

  • what engine is in this

  • I'd like to know so... but it sounds like a lil 5.9...

  • @nicocummins duramax

  • beautiful dude. wats this beast runnin for boost?

  • thats a bad ass truck damn

  • fuck those emissions

  • is that up in powell co.? i go up there all the time

  • Yep...2007 Outlaw Nationals

  • That was a bad ass turck, I was there that day

  • az volt ám a füst !!!

  • actually the stuff you see from diesels is not whats hurting the environment, its the crap that comes out of regular cars every day..

  • eat your heart out Al Gore! Love that smoke trail!

  • wdf i didnt know deisel burnt that bad....

  • i don't care about emissions, i say we all drive big ass diesel trucks, if were all going to die in 2012, i don't want to drive a pussy prius until i die,if we don't die in 2012 then ill drive a prius (hoping the world ends so i don't have to drive one lol)

  • who gives a fu*k about "emissions"? plants need carbon so they can photosynthesize, hooray for redencks with an education

  • @The4X4MAFIA

Not exactly true, but emissions do ruin all the fun

  • @KillaRock404 i agree... wait that means.. that brings him back down to being just a dirty ignorant redneck.

  • a fellow grower? lol

  • They need light, not carbon. . . they take in carbon, so much for your education.

  • @K20Burban plants require both light and co2 for their photosynthesis, so we're both right. Thank you for playing.

  • Haha! They need both actually. So much for your education!

  • @The4X4MAFIA

And people need food, yet fat asses are dying every day from obesity. Too much of anything is bad, just learn some moderation. There's some truth to what you say and there's some truth to what the greenies say, just within moderation...

  • @mikestuemky the problem is "greenies" are not moderate. they are kooks and liars. they stall and litigate nuke power, wildly driving up the cost of power, then use the high cost numbers to say it is not viable. They know exactly what they are doing. This is in NO WAY saying "let big business do what it pleases.". In fact, they need to be held MORE accountable, to common sense laws.

  • @The4X4MAFIA .............carbon dioxide. not carbon. but i agree anyway :p

  • @The4X4MAFIA Black smoke is caused by excess fuel that has entered the cylinders that cannot be burned completely. So it basically means these cars aren't as efficient as they could be. Milage is obviousley never gonna be their concern, but it's potential extra horsepower being blown out as smoke.

  • @Slashbag69 its not really smoke. Its Solid state carbon. Diesel releases very little carbon dioxide. Gas actually burns less efficient but CO2 is invisible. Solid state carbon is actually good for the soil. As far as efficiency diesel will get you 30 percent more mpg and 40 on the highway. They have super lowend torque which is why they are usually turbo charged rather than supercharged. They have lower rpms. thats why they are on buses and garbage trucks.

  • @marktse I can't imagine wtf they are teaching in schools today. I am sure you will come back with some nonsense about your PhD in chem from a top school, but you don't even perform at a 1970's high school level. What he said is 100% correct. Write this down: anything coming out of the exhaust, or as heat, or as noise is wasted energy. That is called a "fact". Today, fact, fiction and outright lies are indistinguishable to the uneducated, but degreed masses. See 'man-made global warming".

  • @kenfo0 i'm not sure what you got out of what I said but I didn't say deisel was emission free. far from it. Its carbon soot spilling in the air. On average diesel produces less than a gas car does. Volume to volume gasoline produces more. Just because you can't see the exhaust does not mean its not there. Diesel has almost equal to slightly more carbon but its larger in microns so you see it and sulfer. Gasoline has NOx, CO, hydrocarbons from additives that don't burn clean.

  • @marktse Mark, thanks for a friendly reply, but you are wrong. Look at a new ford 6.7 diesel tailpipe. where is this normal carbon you are talking about? It's not there. What is coming out of the stack on the vid is NOT just "carbon". It is carbon, NOx s, CO2, CO, partially burned HCs, etc. Yes, some is less than gas eng. It is an over-fuel. There is a vid somewhere on youtube of a 10 sec. diesel truck, and black smoke is NOT pouring out of it. It is a simple matter of proper tuning.

  • @kenfo0 I didn't mean to be mean but you insulted my education. Okay i'll agree this vid is pure exhaust but its also drag racing. But the 6.7 is not pure petrodiesel. Ifyou're talking about the scorpion engine I think its a B20 biodiesel, computer control injected, duel turbocharged so the exhaust is cycling through filters, one a selective catalytic reduction solution the other is a, Diesel particulate filter . Thats not just a simple proper tune job.

  • @marktse You weren't mean, but you were wrong. You are repeating what uneducated people say. What comes out of the exhaust of that truck is far more than straight carbon. No, the 6.7 CAN run on b20. Whether on b20 or straight diesel, you do not see them billowing 'harmless carbon" because they are properly tuned. So go back to a brand-spanking-new 7.3 diesel when it came out. It did NOT billow black smoke until people "tuned" them or they were running incorrectly. I am 100% correct.

  • @kenfo0 test: how many glasses of water are you supposed to drink per day for proper health, 97-01 guy?

  • @kenfo0 according to someone of your era its 8, 8oz glasses but its a myth. Most people consume plenty of water for daily use without checking. According NCAA wrestling rules the passing level of hydration is not exceting 1.025 in light spectrometer. Which 80% of people tend to fail anyways. Usually your body due to homeostasis will give you enough indicators you're getting enough water in. Peak optimal is whatever your body likes. What is this a test for. Generic trivia?

  • @marktse nah, not according to me by a long shot. wanted to see if you repeated more nonsense. I like your overly complex explanation about the body's indicators....in "my era" we said "you get thirsty". Looks like you googled to get your response, but at least you got it right for once. Now go google diesel emissions.

  • @kenfo0 yeah and you know what it would say? modern diesel will win out against gasoline in CO2,Co, nox, HC and other emissions and lose to gas in carbon particulate over 10 microns making it a solid, and sulfur which can be counteracted. Gasoline would be cleaner but its all the additives in it that makes it dirty and all in vapor form. Hmm sound familiar?

  • @marktse Hmmmm...know what sounds familiar? You saying one thing, then changing the argument. You said in terms of "soot". It is entirely possible that part of your problem is incorrect English, not matching references. Don't know how you get "additives are the main source of pollution". Diesel ARE less polluting....WHEN PROPERLY RUNNING AND TUNED, as they are from the factory. Once again, you try to alter your argument, which was "the truck in the vid isn't polluting, that's just carbon".

  • @kenfo0 i feel like and idiot for answering you. Lets just end this stupid circular conversation. i have better things to do with my time.

  • @marktse there's no "circular conversation". There's you making clearly nonsensical statements, then saying "yer uh ideeit", denying what you said in black and white, then moving onto your next stupid statement or lie ("that's not smoke, it's just carbon", "I never said the exhaust is just carbon", "new ford diesel runs only on b20, that's why it doesn't smoke","it's computer controlled and twin turbo ed" (as if the truck in the vid isn't), "gas cars make less soot than diesels" (wrong), etc.)

  • @kenfo0 when the fuck did i say deisel only gives off carbon. In fact i said it gives off sulfur. Its just that when it comes to CO2, Nox, CO, HC its better then gas. and you even agreed with me. How did you imply i said it was striaght harmless carbon. The black you see is carbon soot which in its size in microns do not count as an air soluble and will settle to the ground. that is a 100% correct. You're reading into things I haven't said.

  • @marktse i'm going to delete the rest of your 5 comments, as you are just being purposefully dishonest now. Here is your statement, on this page, in black and white: "its not really smoke. Its Solid state carbon.". YOUR words. Why people like you can't just reconsider your position when faced with fact instead of argument hopping with CLEARLY nonsensical garbage like "the ford only runs on b20, that's why it doesn't smoke", which is again YOUR words, and nonsensical in at least 2 ways.

  • @kenfo0 thats not the whole trueth. I said it was combination of being more modern, using B20, turbocharged with sselective catalytic reduction solution filter and a disel particulate filter, and a lot more other stuff. You can't just omit stuff I said then call it bullshit. If you think you can take a diesel truck from an older engine and expect the emissions to be the same you're smoking crack.

  • @marktse I KNOW what you are saying is not the truth! That is the entire pt! YOU SAID "the ford is clean because of b20". FALSEFALSEFALSEFALSE. There is NOTHING magical about b20, nor is that mainly what the truck runs on. Most drivers will use pump diesel, not b20. B20 ONLY refers to adding bio-diesel to pump diesel in a 20-80% mix. This is for "sustainability", not emissions. There you have it, 'you smoke crack" guy. 100% wrong in your comment. Are you man enough to admit it yet?

  • @kenfo0 why are you hung up about the B20 gas. Its just one thing i mentioned because it does burn a little cleaner. And I said diesel was less polluting which i supported by saying that the gas has higher levels of emissions except for the carbon which isn't that bad. I stick to that. Now if you need to hear me admit b20 gas isn't clean whatever. i'm wrong. if you want me to admit a tuned factory diesel is cleaner. then i'll agree to that part. Now 100% wrong well go fuck yourself.

  • @marktse STILL NOT MAN ENOUGH to own up to YOUR OWN WORDS. I didn't get hung up on b20....YOU mentioned it, trying to claim b20 is why you don't get soot out of the new 6.7. YOUR WORDS, not mine. Not "go fuck kenfo", faggot, go fuck yourself, faggot. You are not man enough to admit you have no idea what you are saying. YOU brought up b20, and are COMPLETELY, TOTALLY WRONG about it's nature and effect. Why can't you just be a man and say "that was wrong", with thta and your "pure carbon" b.s.?

  • @kenfo0 i didn't say it was pure carbon. i said the black stuff in the exhaust was mostly carbon thats true. Biodiesel is cleaner then petroldiesel. also true.

  • @marktse you are a coward and a liar. On this very page, you said "what is coming out of the exhaust is solid state carbon". your comment about b20 was stupid, and you still can't be honest about it. The vast majority of highway diesel is NOT b20, so b20 has NOTHING to do with why a new ford doesn't smoke. It doesn't smoke because of proper tuning and exhausting. Why can't you just be a man?

  • @kenfo0 if you read the pt. I said if you think an older diesel truck and a newer one with techology designed to change the emission output have the same emissions when properly tuned, then you'd be smoking crack. Specifically you would be wrong. Thats a true statement right there. Its specifically filters the exhaust. I just listed the B20 because it DOES burn cleaner, bio diesel burns cleaner than petrol. You go google it yourself.

  • @marktse aaaah.....I get it now. Now you're British and use "petrol". Fascinating. Back to your CLEARLY IDIOTIC COMMENT ABOUT B20: The 6.7 will not mainly run on b20. This is fact. The VAST MAJORITY of pump diesel is NOT b20. And yet the 6.7 STILL doesn't spew black smoke, and b20 has NOTHING to do with it. Just be a man for one minute in your life, instead of a sniveling child. NOWHERE did I EVER say "gas burns cleaner than diesel"....you have simply made up a strawman. Grow up.

  • you know what get a life i'm moving on. I wasted enough time arguing with you.

  • @marktse what is a waste is you living an uneducated, dishonest life in which you make absurd statements (ford's don't smoke because of b20) then are not man enough to see your error (even when pointed out) and change. Please do move on.

  • @kenfo0 plus the diesel from the 70s you dinosaur is totally different from todays. They come in lower sulfur, synthetic, biolipid, dimethelether, hydrogenated oils. In your day you guys were eating that stuff as margerine and replaced butter and had the highest heart attack rates of the century. I'll take my 97-01 education thank you. Lower noise, higher burn rate. Its not perfect, just better.

  • @marktse Aaah....this is the rude post. whatever...doesn't phase me. I don't know why you refer to the 70's....i referenced it as the mid-decline of education to it's nonsensical state today. For some reason, you are talking about 1970's diesels, which ALSO did not smoke like the one in the vid unless broken or "tuned". Your last sentence is a non sequitur, proving your education to be poor. Margarine(that's how to spell it!)? WTF. Your post proves me correct, again.

  • @kenfo0 i don;t even think you know what non sequitur means. I live in the era where spelling is irrelevant on online discussions. I didn't know i was going to have to turn this into a published dissertation. I'll make sure its gets cited with supporting documents.

  • @marktse Yeah, if you see a diesel on the road, it doesn't spew out big black clouds of carbon. That car is trying to make more power than it actually can, that's why there's so much carbon coming out, because the engine can't burn it. It's just wasted fuel. I doubt this pickup is trying to be fuel efficient anyway, but it's just a total waste of valuable diesel that could be used in a useful car.

  • @Slashbag69 he bought the fuel fag he can do what he wants with it!!!!!!!!!!

  • @studdgage No one asked you, you dumb redneck faggit!

  • @Slashbag69 the only dumb person here is you and you just let everyone know it!!!!!

  • @studdgage To save yourself from embarassment, throw your computer in the garbage, and go hang yourself using your mum's panties. You festering shit stain.

  • @Slashbag69 Very nice so grown up and every thing maybe you should save us all the trouble and kill ur self!!! what are you 12?????

  • @The4X4MAFIA haha if it wasn't for faggots givin two shits about emissions, we would still have the 7.3 powerstroke

  • @The4X4MAFIA

Kind of big words for someone claiming they are educated. Plants have had enough CO2 to photosynthesize for centuries after centuries without humans added emissions.

  • Roll up, Roll up, Roll up. Welcome to our Greenpeace Racing extravaganza here, at the Outlaw Nationals Park Dragway Clay City in the Great State of Kentucky.

  • Carbon...nothing more greenpuss than that ;)

  • this is not the fastest diesel truck the banks truck has broken into the 7's and there are a couple others that are in there with it

  • It was the fastest full size over 2 years ago child!

  • looks like that sign said 9.9

  • Looks like you need to listen to the call or understand what a trap missing bulbs reads like?

  • someone in a prius is going to do a very quiet driveby one that guy one day : (

  • considering that was an 1/8th mile that was pretty pathetic

  • Geez UR an Idiot! So the truck ran only 8.99 in the 1/8? Check out the video reply above and learn something!

  • Awesome! A Cummins Engine built for Dodge that put a chevy down the track LMAO

  • polluter!

  • gay!

  • you are a fucking idiot. that smoke that is coming out from that truck is less harmful than what is released from a gas engine. don't run your mouth about shit you don't have a clue about

  • Comment removed

  • a normal gasoline engine puts out more carbon emissions than that truck you just watched, the soot from the cummins actually sinks to the ground rather than float into the atmosphere, all it is, is unburnt diesel fuel

  • In Soviet Russia, we soop up little girl bike and make it fast like these.

  • the black smoke is PURE carbon so it does not harm the enviroment

  • who gives a flying fuck

  • At least not at a dragstrip they don't .. I would'nt care at a dragstrip.

  • actually that very high performance diesel, probably creates less pollution then your prius

  • Okay, claiming that I drive a fucking spaceship(Prius) is fucking gay. The Prius is shit. And I'm not an environmentalist, considering it was a joke...

  • man you are awfully touchy about your prius

  • Oh yes I am. Yesterday I got hit by an f-250, and me and my prius were sittin in the guys grill for two hours until he finally pulled us out with a pair of twezers.

  • MAH EARS!!! So loud... can't touch... mute!

    Pretty epic too, btw.

  • and it also wins the worlds ugliest paint job man that thing is quick but it looks like fuckin dog shit on ex

  • thats the shortest 1/4 mile i have ever seen

  • The time boards are at 1000 feet and the traps are at 1320.

The video response above clearly shows what this truck could do in the 1320 back in the day.

  • Good thing that truck is so quick.. Keeps us from having to see that ugly ass paint job for too long

  • in malta we have a truck its not a pick up dont get me wrong its the fastest diesel racing truck in th world

  • This video is over 2 years old, why do people still make stupid comments about who is faster now?

  • Banks has this truck beat by over a second

  • Just watched a vid of a street worthy powerstroke do it in 9 flat. Sorry no where near the fastest.

  • retard if you listen he said 8.99

  • eww

  • TERRIBLE sound quality.... cool pickup! :D I want one ;)

  • Banks sidewinder is running low 7's wtf does this truck have

  • The video is almost 2 years old now kids. This is a full steel body full size truck not S10 also!

Give it props and stop talking out your asses!

  • fucking hell his carbon foot print is massive.

  • if you don't like it why the fuck you even watching it?

  • Not as big as yours jackass! Diesel pollutes less than the POS gasser you drive.

  • isnt the banks duramax faster then that now?

  • yeah it is. Banks has the new world record for the fastest diesel in a 1/4 mile. 7.77 @ 180.00mph

  • holy shit! what a monster!!! thing looks and sounds like a damn locomotive...

  • why does the back end bounce when it takes off?

  • sir, that is what we call torque.

  • the tires fold up when it takes off, and the rebound from the tires combined with suspension rebound can cause bouncing.

That or he got mad tire shake.

  • Hard to avoid when you have that much torque :)

  • i know this video is a little old but banks performance has an s-10 with a duramax in it that runs in the sevens. the really wierd part no black smoke.

  • Well its probably running on alcohol. they do not smoke. at night u well see fire.

  • este no es el record mundial inbecilesªª

  • lol couldnt see the time through the smoke

    o.0

    ___

  • das wird nix mit ner grünen plakette :-D

  • Cummins, right?

  • - NO propane, chips, washer fluid, or alcohol

    - 97 Chevy 1500 Extended Cab/Short Bed, Steel Bed & Cab 140" custom tube

    - 3550/lbs

    - Cummins B Series 6 cylinder - Keating Machine

  • there goes global warming lol

  • Was that a 400 meter burnout ?

  • that wasn't even 400 feet, the whole track is about 400 meters

  • Dude.i hear the tires screaming for grip.

  • @fukinlambo Genius!

  • you shut up you are the one who cant understand combustion!

  • Please leave this thread, you have little or no knowledge of mechanical rail diesel drag setups!

Hopefully the owner of this video will ban you soon.

    Childish BS!!!

  • johny lightning beat this record

  • Bye Bye Bipolar Limey... ;)

  • read the date, this was back in 07, obviuosly not the record holder any more, well not this pass anyway

  • Wow you gonna put this much into a drag truck that paint it up to look like a mexican lowrider?

  • hahaha i had a chuckle or two....lol mexican lowrider

  • BANKS sucks ass Dr.Performance has the word's fastest diesel dragster and truck!

  • seeing thats your name of course it would be the best in your opinion...

  • didnt a banks truck( not a drag truck like this) get an 8. something?

  • gale banks is a tool banks sucks ass i can put half the money of what a banks system cost into 2 trucks that are the same of another company and that truck with have the money into it will out run the one with the banks on it been there proved that.

  • The Banks setup will do it for longer though.

  • thats funny my truck set up on other companys stuff has never blown a motor my friends truck with the banks six gun crap did blow his motor
