  • Good vid, but keep ur hands up

  • powerful teeps mate

  • i've been training for 6yrs now this october.

  • How long have you been in Muay Thai bud?

  • wmaakenpo - those red bags have all been replaced with new black bags. the new ones seem to be of better quality as the red ones.

    thanks for the comments, guys!

  • I want a bag like that

  • check my thai boxing bag training out . and give me some advise on my form and stance etc.

    thanks

  • got big enough gloves there, lol=)

  • LOL! i love how everyone's wondering how big or heavy that big is, haha! it's pretty big but considering i'm only 5'5", i guess it's not THAT big.

yep! i do breathe in between strikes.

bleedingxhearts2 - depending on the situation, i do place my leg in the "opposite stance" after a kick if i intend on following it up w/ a kick w/ the opposite leg. otherwise, i bring it all the way back as i always want to be in my southpaw stance. i don't know if that makes sense...lol, sorry!

  • fuck that is a long bag arr well good pratice for those big mother fuckers nice man ur looking good

  • Damn... That's one Huge Hotdog.

  • how heavy is the punching bag? nice man good job on the work very cool!

  • that was siick. raw explosive power

  • very nice. i like the superman elbow at 5:30

  • How tall is that bag? I want to get a full size body bag

  • BEAT IT !!

  • biggest heavy bag in the buisness lol

  • What gym is this?

  • is it right that he pulls his leg all the way back after a kick? i was taught to just drop it and youre in the opposite stance and in close

  • heey your kicks are firm and strong.. did yoou breathe with each strike?

  • ImperialDecree - my hands are ok after use. i usually do 15 rounds x 3 min (1 min rest) and my hands are fine after. maybe it's just the way you wrap your knuckles? if you're wrapping your knuckles correctly, maybe you just need to condition your hands. how long have you been training for? there are some instances when ithe skin peels off my knuckles but that only happens when i do 20+ rounds. goodluck!

  • thanks for the comments, guys!

igotcookiesbah - you're absolutely correct. i find that my boxing is the weakest part of my game. i'm actually forcing myself to just box when sparring but i always end up using my legs, lol.

noobtube1210 - haha, yeah...they're definitely big on me but i love them. i've got 3 pairs of twins gloves, lol!

Pimpjit85 - yep! it's definitely BDB! haha good ole days when we only had one bag. there are 12 bags now, i believe. you should train here again!

  • Hey bro!

I also have 16oz twin gloves like you and I use them on the bag I have at home.

How are your hands after use? They fit well on me but my knuckles hurt after little usage with them on the bag! I even properly wrap my hands and put enough layering around my knuckle area with my wraps and THEY STILL HURT MY KNUCKLES!

Please respond as soon as you can please!

  • Hmmm this looks like BDB! I haven't been there for yearsss.. and they only used to have one bag lol. Still was awesome gym though. If it is BDB hope Brian is doing well and Nick is still killin it!! Oh and good bag work :)

  • those are some big gloves they look like hulk hands.

  • Nice movement and tehnic but you should work more on your boxing, that will complete you very nice.

  • mihajlo321 - lol, i've had this pair for the past 4 yrs now. i should be getting a new pair of shorts and gloves soon!

crimsonx83 - thanks for the kind words! yeah, i really wish i had gotten into muay thai sooner but, oh well! goodluck with your training!

  • cont...

youtube is a great tool so i would check out each gym and compare it with some youtube members' videos. better yet, search up "ramom dekkers", "rob kaman", "ernesto hoost", "nieky holzken" and see if their technique is similar to the gyms' techniques. i'm biased, though, as i favor the dutch style of muay thai over the thai's, hehehe. if you prefer the thai style, search up "buakaw", "yodsaenklai", "saenchai", etc. goodluck and i apologize if i can't give any more tips!

  • ladelama16 - the best way as you probably already know is just to research the available gyms around your area. once you've found some, drop by and see if you can do a trial period. most gyms should offer the first class (or more) as the trial period. you obviously won't get the full experience from one class but it should give you an idea on how they teach each class.

  • Just wanted to say I think your shots are crisp and powerful! good rhythm in combos and finish each shot. I read below that you took up MT when you were 20... Well i'm 27!! Nice video hope to see more! I've been training seriously for about 7months. Feel free to check out my channel. If you have any pointers/comments, I'd totally appreciate it. Wai.

  • i have that same pair of shorts.

  • I rsix8 how do i find a good muay thai gym. I have done mma for a while now and my classes are like supposedly muay thai and american kickboxing but i really dont learn traditional muay thai like the round kicks arent the same as yours they are more like tkd round kicks and i really want to actually train under legit muay thai person i live in seattle can you help me out

  • Mannypacquai0 - yeah, i've definitely felt the improvements over the years. i've been training for just about 5 yrs now and i can't believe i've lived 20 yrs before taking up muay thai. i wish i had taken it as a kid, lol.

acamamm - thousands and thousands of reps, man. you've just gotta put your time in the gym. as long as you've got a good foundation and correct instructions, just put your hours in and you should be ok.

    thanks for the comments!

  • nice video good technique, how do u get better at kicking with Your bad leg cause i suck at it

  • ImperialDecree - i just wipe it with warm water and clean cloth every couple of weeks or so.

  • @rsxlr8 what a classic song lol beat it, and you were definitly beating it, man over time have you ever felt insane changes like in your power and speed, and how your limbs adjust to the striking?

  • Tactichef - sorry but i don't know how heavy the bag is.

tsjca213 - i sometimes hit the bag with my foot...but that's because i have short legs, lol! hitting with the shins is the correct way, of course. the rotation of the hip is where the power comes from.

madapina - you're right! you shouldn't cross your legs! i've crossed my legs on several occassions in this video and i try correcting it whenever i find myself doing it. awesome observation and thanks for the compliment!

  • Hey bro! How do you keep your white twins gloves clean? ;)

  • i dont know about your training methods but legendary fighter told us never jump or put your legs together or cross them when you thai boxing! sorry my english it not so good and you train good and hard!

  • That is nice to watch, it looks so much fun to hit the bag with those kicks. are you kicking with your foot at all? Or are you just tossing your hip?

  • how hevy is the bag ?>

  • sabdow - i'm glad my video inspired you to improve your game, man! keep training!

  • i remember watching this video a year ago before i ever started muay thai. i was inpsired by this video and i wanted to be able to move and kick just like this. ive been training ever since and im not far off!!

  • Really good work bro, nice technique and power

  • very nice

  • thanks, man. i owe pretty much all i know to my coach, nick ring. it's truly unfortunate that his knee got busted up because he was definitely the best guy on TUF:11. too bad he didn't get to showcase his real skills.

  • crisp technique

  • thanks, guys. yes, it's bdb.

  • this is bdb isnt it

  • i love muay thai low kicks! so fast and deadly!

  • nice gym, good skill

  • i have the same muay thai short! hahaha !, very good sklills by the way

  • muay thai bags are a iron tube coverd with some thing to absorb a bit of the blow

  • thanks, guys! i'm sorry but i'm not exactly sure how heavy the bags are. they're definitely not that heavy, though.

  • How much kilos has this bag ?

  • good job man. love those kicks.

  • thanks!

  • Beautiful technique, very nice pivot on the kicks.

  • just beat it!! just beat it!!

  • That is the best bag for practhish kicks and hands, the best, y would like to have one, but there is no space

  • @placidotrato

these bags aren't bad but they're pretty light. it moves quite a bit but i guess it's a good thing for practicing your angles and footwork.

  • Are u a left handed ?

  • Are u a left handed ?

  • @XiaoyangLuvHongster

    yes, i am.

  • this is good bagwork! not 100% power like all the others u think about teqniuqe nice mate! u use it as a tool to improve teqniuqe not just punching it like a fool, nice!

  • dyllthechamp - hahaha! thanks but i'm not that tough, dude, lol.

ESP05 - yep, this is he. do i know you, bro?

  • Yo Nelson, this is Muhammad. I train at BDB as well man. I haven't gone in a month though, caught a nasty virus and was sick. Hopefully Ill be back training this week or the next. Great bag work man.

  • @rsxlr8

yo man, this muhammad..I train at BDB as well. I have been sick for the past month, but I hope to be back soon.

  • ud destroy me bro. god help anyone that ticks you off

  • dude is this Nelson of BDB? Nice bro nice.

  • lol, you're hilarious, man! hahah thanks!

  • those other bags that are tied to the wall is makin me trip out. it looks like they are upright and ur on the side wall....wow im crazy. but good workout my friend

  • Do 4-5 different intense rounds with lenght of 2 - 3 min on the heavy bag.

Rest 1 min after you finish each round.. thats really good training. During the rounds dont stop, always stay in action.. try to do more defense moves..

  • that guy would fuck me up!

  • i'm from canada and yes, it's a very good workout! hehe

  • Very good workout. I do mauy thai too. Where you from? my parents are from hong kong

  • lol, thanks, guys! i should've known that MJ would be a hit, haha!

  • dude best choice of training music ever haha.

  • very good work bros!! Just word of advice - do not cross your feet. If someone saw that they would time it and kick you off balance with a teep or sweep your legs.

  • thanks, guys. thanks for the tip about my elbows; i'll see if i can work on that.

  • Overall very nice and smooth. Elbows a tiny bit wingy which could cost you the odd liver punch if you spar a good boxer. Otherwise keep up the good work!!!

  • Nice video! Impressive technique and leg-speed!

  • thanks, guys!

  • overall pretty good form and you seem pretty smooth moving around the bag. I like the way you used the swinging of the bag to work on your movement and footwork. Your round kicks seem to have good power to them but a couple of them you seem to be kicking in line with the bag as opposed to striding to the far side of the bag to shift the power of your kick deep into the bag/body instead of the side of the bag/body. I do like how you hide some of your kicks behind punch combo's.

  • loving that footwork

  • I just bought an everlast everflex heavy bag and am just starting muay thai and brazillian jiu jtisu this is a great video I love your combos especially at about a minute and 6 seconds good clean heavy punches I am training and hope to be mad good oh by the way love the training to MJ I train to thriller hahaha :)

  • throw a round back kick , or a dubble left righ kick combo

  • lol! yeah, man....MJ haha!

  • is tht michael jackson i hear? ahaha ur training with a heavy bag to "beat it" i fkn love it

  • Terrific! Nice, clean, form and movement. Great job staying on the balls of your feet the whole time!

  • how much is your gym fees? and what do you get to train in?

  • thanks for the comment, man! yeah, i'm trying to work on some more combinations, lol. thanks for critiquing my vid!

  • Not a problem, love your work, keep it up.

  • love your stuff, great footwork with your knees and awesome power on your punches.

Only thing i reckon is that you should add more combinations in... too many single kicks and two punch kick combos

  • hey, man. i've been training for about 4 years now.

  • hey man, how long have you been training?

  • thanks for the comments, guys!

  • great stuff, strong thai skills all around man, love the way you setup the kicks with punches and shuffle steps.

    great video

  • Great kicks, great technik, great music ;], good job! Keep working! Ale movies on youtube schould be like yours !

  • nice man

  • hey, thanks, man. what do you mean by 'weird style', though? my stance? footwork? thanks for the comment!

  • Ha weird style but good though, nice kicks mate :)

  • Great vid, careful with the feet and the round house kicks, always know your distance kicking with the feet eventually will be damaging great vid, and one more thing on the teep/push kick you push the bag it doesn't push you keep training hard PEACE

  • lol, thanks for the comment, man!

  • dont worry bro the music says "Juussst beat it!" nice vid!.

the round kicks needs improvement, but its just a video, maybe different, in person. good job bro!.

  • lol, they're twins 16 oz gloves, man. they're huge on me, hahaha!

  • Damn Bro.

    What ounce gloves are those!?

  • Nelson ur looking really sharp. Hope to train with u soon

  • thanks for the replies! i really appreciate comments with constructive criticism to help me improve on my technique.

  • Great thai kicks, awesome knees, the punches need a bit more work, and good elbows.

    Keep up the great work!

    5/5
