1. The Blue Danube is the common English title of An der schönen blauen Donau op. 314 (On the Beautiful Blue Danube), a waltz by Johann Strauss II, composed in 1866.
2. Blue Danube was the first operational British nuclear weapon. The warhead was proof-tested in Maralinga, Australia, by a team of Australian, British and Canadian scientists in late 1956.
here am I thinking, poor fellows, blowing up, having to play one of the most abused, most overplayed orchestra piece ever, and on top of that, people are laughing at them.
