  • We all love this version but I recently found a rendition by Hugh Panaro, one of the best stage Phantoms ever currently doing it again on Broadway, that will blow you away. You can hear it at the HP appreciation page or buy it from the CD Jerry Herman Tap Your Troubles Away.

  • i think i record it

  • This is one of greatest achievements in cinematic history, and I encourage everyone to see this.

  • I remember watching this movie and thinking that I could never feel that way. In 2003 I met the man who would change everything. Now we have 2 preciouse boy's. When there father is fighting for me all I can think of is that they never get to meet him

  • @teammason03

Is your husband in the military?

  • i dont understand why im tearing up! seriously jeez. and poor poor little lonely Wall-E by himself for so long when he just wanted to be loved

  • I heard this was the last major musical Fox ever funded. Apparently it almost bankrupted them. Oh, I so wish it had!

But the way Hello Dolly! was used in WALL-E was simply masterful.

  • what movie is this from? I mean, I know its from Walle But is it from another movie?

  • @MusiccSonn hello dolly

  • @MusiccSonn

This was originaly from Hello, Dolly

  • Leave it to Disney and Pixar to make you feel for a robot. AMAZING..

  • I think it's a perfect match - theses songs and Wall-e.

    I adore Wall-e :)

  • Ei, can anyone tell me why the Production of Pixar and Disney choose this movie to be featured in WALL-E?

  • Andrew Stanton, the director of Wall-e, played Barnaby Tucker in a high school production of "Hello, Dolly!" so he suggested the song "Put On Your Sunday Clothes" since it's a song about young, naive men looking for love. Then the song "It Only Takes a Moment" was chosen to show how Wall-e understand love.

  • @MateoG7788

Great Mateo i was looking for this...why they choosed this song&movie and now finally i have the answer! thks a lot MAN!!!

  • Google WALL-E' Meets 'Dolly!

  • Its a very touching scene though.... and never thought that Robots like Wall-E would develop a feeling though... Wall-E is great!!!

  • is that an actual movie?

  • @LILJAYJAY41 yes. the Film is Hello Dolly.

  • Doesn't matter which film. It's a beautiful song *__*

  • I am watching this teary eyed like Wall E oh

  • Um, it was on the Wall-e soundtrack as well...

  • Let me just remind you that a kid might stumble across your comment! You should think about censoring your language next time...

  • Oh Michael Crawford. How glorious you are. <3 He's just the cutest thing, and a wonderful singer.

  • q locura

  • This movie is so touching. There I found myself yesterday getting emotional for a little robot who discovered the true meaning of love.

That's why I think they took a clip from an older movie; when love was cherished and respected.

Thank you, again, Disney for such a wonderfully sweet movie.

  • Like their first movie, and how Snow White stayed asleep forever, and how they never found Cinderella's foot to fit in her shoe, or how the prince didn't slay the dragon and wake up Sleeping Beauty. Now those were the days!

  • You are so funny.

  • I believe Disney is targeting children as an audience. You wouldn't want a dark and dreary movie being burned into a child's memory.

Rather, leaving them with a sense of wonder and amazement encourages them to search for answers.

Bare-in-mind Wall-E *did* sacrifice himself for something greater than himself: his personality and memory (temporarily).

  • There is a distinct difference between 'dreary movie burned into a child's memory' and 'uplifting movie about a tale of ultimate sacrifice for love' leaving a poignant memory in the mind of a developing person.

  • He did sacrifice himself, almost tiwce. But I see your point, in real life just because you do a good thing its not always going to end happily ever after. But how are we ever meant to live up to all these meaningful things about love and sacrifice if we never see them and that theres good in the world.

Okay thats deep of a disney movie but the point is clear, showing us thats these things and good exsist is meaningful enough and can become real...

  • @evamjh i agree.

  • @evamjh disney has nothing to do with it, it's pixar, differet thing...

  • @ILCOSTI - There is this business venture called a merger...check it out.

  • @evamjh Thank Pixar, Disney mostly just finances them.

  • @evamjh Thank Pixar, not Disney on this one

  • @evamjh Don't thank Disney for these brilliant contributions to mankind. Thank Pixar!!!!

  • I love the part in Wall.e where walle learns about love

  • Why is nobody commenting on Michaels beautifully moving performance in this clip! The man is sooooooooooooo adorable and a living legend in the entertainment business!

  • Both Wall-E and Hello, Dolly are on my list of favorite movies!

  • i love this movie... so dreamy!

  • Hello, Dolly! is an amazing movie. This song was perfect to convey Wall-E's emotions and why he felt the way he did for Eve.

  • i like wall-e this song is sad when they play almost makes me cry

  • First of all, I loved the movie Wall-e! And, I especially love this short song. He becomes fascinated by a scene with a man and a woman holding hands and learns the concept of two life forms falling in love and conveying their feelings for one another through a simple gesture, and yearns to experience it himself. The love for Eve he yearns for and the gestures he makes seam so life-like. This song compliments his efforts perfectly!

  • WALL-EEEEE!

  • Why did I get a thumbs down for saying Michael Crawford is wonderful. Michael is totally awesome and so moving in this scene and I enjoy the way he sings this from his heart. The lady has a good voice that is very pretty. How come everybody else got a thumbs up who said they like this movie. At least if you have something against Mike then say why and don't be a coward. Then I'll respect your opinion. MCs fantastic and very cute in Dolly.

  • @colinmcphan missed it?

  • @colinmcphan you're never going to understand the net!

  • @colinmcphan he's even better in Phantom of the Opera

  • eu amei WALL-E e toda sua trilha sonora!

  • feel exactly the same!

  • i love hello, dolly! and WALL-E

  • que hermosa cancion.

    nunca la molvidare

  • haha.. pure classic... i like it

  • I Love Michael Crawford sooooooo much! He is so adorable and dreamy in this scene and movie. Michaels performance may have been the best and most memorable part of Hello Dolly!!!! He makes me cry with how tenderly he sings here along with the young lady who has a pretty voice.

  • when you see on DVD the voices are diff

  • WOO great song!
