  • Nuiqueeeeeeeeeeeeeeee la policeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • question : eversince both language's are spoken in bruxelles and represented on the shirt/vest. do bruxelles PD have to speak and understand both language's?

  • @collin341 They Do , Otherwise Flemish/French people can consider this as Discrimination.

  • @collin341 of course, it's mandatory. When you go through police academy (=1 year) and you graduate, you NEED to work at least 1 year in Brussels also mandatory. After this 1 year you can ask to be moved to a town closer by if you don't live close to Brussels.

  • @fredn87 No idea where you got this info, but it is INCORRECT. After graduation at one of the police academies you can choose your own policeforce (called mobility), either Local Police or Federal Police. If there is no room in the policeforce you had given up, then you will be placed somewhere where there is a manpower shortage (called detached). Sometimes this can be Brussels, but other times it aint and it's a Local Police close to the force you had given up. This is only for a given time.

  • @collin341 In law you need to be able to speak both languages after a couple of years, but the benefit is that you'll get paid extra for it.
