  • Michael Jordan was the Tebow of Basketball!!! Everybody loves him

  • One man army, against one of the best defensive teams of all time! He went nuts, Jordan is the King!

  • JORDAN=GOAT

  • hihi einzige deutsche hier

  • i just figured it out. Jordan Jerseys from now on.

  • watching the best player ever with the best commentator (hubie brown). those were the days...

  • Sick when you shake a guy so bad that you sprain YOUR OWN ankle.

  • THE YEAR I WAS BORN

  • MJ is a fuckin beast.

  • Wait a minute I thought the Pistons stopped MJ? What happened?

  • The Chamiilionare michael jordan story is why i hate michael jordan as a human but as a basket player he is fucking amazing

  • the way MJ moves in the air, nobody else can do that !!!!!

  • LEBRON IS BETTER THAN JORDAN.

    JORDAN FARMAR!

  • @23fann in your dreams only not on a court !!!! lol

  • 2:00 That layup is ridiculous.

But I wonder why some of his shots are uncontested.

Pistons should be a defensive team...

  • Makes a brother wanna play some 2K11

  • @ATLchucktaylor90 what about nba 2k12? LOL

  • i just played this jordan moment on nba 2k11, and i lost on a buzzer beater by Joe dumars

  • LMFAO @ Chuck Daley kneeling on the sideline at 3:47 thinking to himself, "How can we stop this guy without going to prison?!!"

  • I think if Jordan really wanted to he could've averaged a triple double for a season. He could go vertical higher than anyone, he could penetrate with his amazing quickness, and his scoring... well duh! Jordan had the package to do everything. He just chose not to. That is perhaps the essential difference between Kobe and Jordan.

Lebron I think might be closer but he doesn't have the same quality jump shot that has made Kobe and Jordan amazing.

  • @Drprofsirtran Yeah he probably could. His stats playing PG in 88 were ridiculous ... basically averaging a triple double but still leading the league in scoring.

  • haha, look at dennis rodmans face at 4:02 ... He's like, oh shit, this ain't good. hahaha

  • WHHAAAAAAAA!?!?!?

  • Hey Bulls fans your ass got owned by the Pistons!!

  • damn let kobe live, every jordan video there is lots of comments of people defending jordan against kobe, insulting him

  • NBA2K11 Playing the This Jordan Challenge hahah Greatest Player EVER!

  • dam son michael jordan going to work hes using all his energy crashing for the boards this guy was determined but nowadays everybody just trying to be fancy and all

  • THE FUCKING GOAT IZ MJ

  • 5:49 - 5:52 shots like that from mj r kinda underrated. U wouldn't really see that shot in his highlights cuz he has so many unbelievable shots & he has made the most spectatular shots ever.

  • Commentators wanted the Bulls to win.

  • the greatest

  • I don't think Laimbeer fouled.

  • It's crazy how similar Kobe and MJ were. MJ seems to have had a better post up game and though MJ shot well in this game, Kobe is definitely the better outside shooter. Question is, was the defense, considering the rule changes, tougher then or now?

  • @jackfuckingmord The defense back then allowed more contact, however today people get all these pussy fouls for charging and whatnot. If anything, Kobe is more similar to Jerry West than Jordan, but people always want to compare the two like theyre mirror images or something. They just both happen to be excellent players with a drive to win and lead their teams. Kobe is Kobe. Jordan is Jordan.

  • 6:52 WOW! It's like the irresistible force vs an immovable object.

  • It's MJ at early 30's. It's so funny that even with today's HD, Kobe's game in these days seems so so slow compared to quickness of MJ

  • @EdGazmen Kobe's still quick. I think his knee, ankle, and back injuries slowed him down a bit this year. Let's see how Kobe looks when he's healthy again.

  • @EdGazmen jordan was 27.....what are you talking about?lol

  • mj bounced back amazingly

  • Im 31 and I remember watching this game live it was so great to see mike bounce back from having 2 horrible shooting games In Detroit. Its funny how no one said he cant shoot or people say that Bron cant shoot when he haves a bad game. The best player ever period MJ. Not KOBE MJ

  • Yes. But he is nearest to MJ. NOT BRON. PERIOD.

  • "43 is not a good first half output for the Bulls". The no talent thugs that play today are happy to have that midway thru the 3rd quarter. Used to be 25 points was a good quarter and 30 was a great quarter. Now if we can get like 30 by halftime we are doing OK.

  • Comment removed

  • wow

  • If i had to pick a version of MJ over his ilustrous career i would choose the 1989/90 NBA season. He was so good that it is hard to explain to the new generations of hoops fan. At 27 years of age we was quicker and stronger that anyone with his size and he had the most complete offensive arsenal the game has ever seen. His dominance on both ends of the field was unparalled and along with is indestructable will to win this MJ version was incredible.

  • Amen Tell this to these dumbass kobe fagetts that dont know shit about Hoop

  • @youngjccarter ...says somebody who can barely speak English.

  • as im watching this video this prove why i like the 2000 alot more cause the 80s had one of the worst perimeter defense . look how much space jordan got from detroit pistons . was jordan was that bad of a shooter to leave him that open ?

  • You don't get it.

If you played Jordan tight on the perimeter, he drove around you like you were so much smoke guarding him. Watch again, and you can see that he blew by Rodman when he played him tight. You can see that Detroit was playing the drive, because Mike was deadly on the penetration.

But the trick with Mike was, he was also an excellent mid-range jump shooter, so it was a matter of picking your poison.. play off him and get jumpers in your face, or play him tight and get blown by,

  • no but he was that great of a penetrater. Either let him shoot the jumper where at best you're going to hit about 43% or let him drive and get the crowd involved and your team picks up cheap fouls trying to stop him.

He can't get others involved shooting jumpshots so you wanted him to shoot instead of drive if you're Detroit.

  • How old r u like 15? You've got to be kidding me right? The NBA is a joke, nobody can shoot anymore. Thats y games are ending 79-77, not becuz of defense. The guys from the 2000 era would fall apart the first time Laimbeer body blocked then starting a fight cause they r too good to b fouled. Defenses made Michael beat them with the J instead of driving and dunking and picking up cheap fouls. In the 80's it was lets outscore people instead of beat the shit out of them cause we cant shoot.

  • nah homie im 29 . if bill laimbeer was to play against this era . he will be irrelevant in the nba . bill was only good for his time . his skill is not timeless compare to jordan or larry bird . bill would have got dunk on by kobe, wade, lebron, tmac, vince, dwight , carmello and granger . no matter what dfense they face these players is still going to attack with will.

  • he won't be irrelevant because not only he can score (specially 3's) also he came from an era that played man on man defense so he knows his stuff. Of course the greats can attack him--but he will be relevant nonetheless.

  • circus of the league it's all power and strenght

  • Jordan was like a god in this game

  • Oh another thing....Laimbeer was a great shooting Big Man...0 Points in this game thanks to Grant and Pippen!!!

  • R.I.P. Chuck Daly. I didn't like his team because they were always beating up Jordan but he was a great guy and great coach.

  • G.O.A.T.

  • RIP chuck daly

  • MJ...I still have and wear his Jersey...Kobe?Lebron?Melo?plllleeeeaaaassseee...seriously young pups...People who didn't even watch or care about basketball stopped everything they were doing to watch MJ..I mean whole neighborhood block parties man all at one house to watch the Bulls..Miss ya MJ

  • so right on....EVERYONE would stop and watch HIM play. The way HE changed the game, will never happen again

  • lmao...look at laimbeer when he fouls out...he knew their was no defense for MJ

  • Absolutely. During the NBA season, Sunday at around three o'clock was like a holy gathering. Like you said, people that had no interest in basketball at all were transfixed by this man.

  • Mind you the Pistons were the BEST defense the NBA had to offer...lol...no defense for MJ!!

  • I want see the full game

  • No kidding...this....this is when Basketball was actually entertaining...I hated the bulls but only cause I loved the knicks...Jordan...Pippen...Grant...damn they were good and fun to watch

  • Ahh the good ol' days.....

  • Dis was a classic classic game by MJ

  • what can i say---the greatest...no kobe or lebron can match the way he play EVER, no matter what they accomplish or not.

  • big difference between playoffs then and playoffs today. the physicality of the game is today is nothing compared to 80's 90's playoff basketball. 4 flagrant fouls your suspended a game, 7 technicals you're suspended a game. Players are afraid to foul a guy hard because theyd get suspended and fined. Pau gaysol flops to the ground when artest fouled him and artest received a flagrant 2 and was ejected. Lebron gets 50 uncontested layups a game because defenders are unable to touch him or are

  • aftraid to foul him hard. I can't watch this garbage the NBA has turned into. Its more about protecting, pampering and hyping their cash cows. The competitive & skill level is gone. there is no challence for a guy like lebron because defensives are unable to guard or contain him with the new foul interpretations and new rules. Lebrons currect cavs team would be shit if they played in the 80's or 90's. The NBA is garbage. Jordans points where actually accumulated against resistance

  • at 8:16 kobe copies the way jordan talks trash after he hits a big shot

  • kobe has watched all of jordans games and is big on watching lots of old nba games. Its no question kobe copies jordan on almost everything. Its kind of creepy that a grown man would mimic to the degree kobe mimics jordan.

  • Agreed. That's exactly how I picture Kobe, watching myriads of old Jordan tapes at home to study his mannerisms, body language, gestures, facial expressions. He's not like other players who simply copy someone else's moves, he literally wants to be Jordan in every aspect. That's one of the major reasons I cannot respect him one bit. That and his nerve to claim that Magic was his idol all along. That guy is so fake, so full of shit it's sickening.

  • ppl who grew up with him have even said that he use to watch come fly with me or some other jordan video over and over and that he use to wish he was jordan.

  • @kOrOne79 you r so right about that shit. dude actually thinks he is jordan he be sticking his tongue out when he drives to the basket. he a trip. lol.

  • Very true. Nothing about Kobe seem original or sincere. He is derivative and fake. Great article about this today on ESPN.

  • @dv122 LOL. Kobe and Jackie Macmuallam were watching tapes of old players (excluding Jordan) and it seem as though Kobe thought he was Jordan. His voice (normally northern accent) magically got deeper. And he sounded very creepy. He randomly stated that "Oscar could back defenders down with that big ass". Who does that?

  • There's no zone like Mikes.

  • What a great pass by Pip at 8.36...that was a Magic Johnson pass!

  • Thank God MJ didn't get hurt in the 6.52 mark...stupid Rodman and Laimbeer...they can't play clean basketball...they have to sandwich guys...

  • Another great game from Jordan. The public address announcer, on the other hand, was terrible. It almost made watching the highlights unbearable as Jordan would score with incredible skill and artistry, and then the PA announcer would taint it by bellowing his name like a moron. The PA guy from the dynasty years was the greatest, so I find it unlikely that this was the same guy... but either way, talk about an improvement!

  • What's great about these days is Jordan has yet to be referred to as the greatest player ever.. but you could see it coming. He was just so much more refined and talented than everyone else.

  • Yeah that's true...I think Drexler once said that if he had had a good supporting cast he´d win just as much as Magic and Larry...

  • i always wondered why MJ didnt take a lot of 3's. he was pretty good at them..

  • After game 1 of the 92 finals he said that he wanted to go to the hole cuz that was his game...goin to the hole, scoring, getting fouled or kicking it to the open man...and in the TNT interview with John Thompson when he asked him "how would u guard Michael Jordan", mj said "make him shoot jumpshots" cuz of that...

  • If I remember correctly he said that while he could take them any time it just wasn't the character of his game.

  • This is heart. It didn't matter how much teams would beat him up, Jordan never hesitated on the way to the rim (even injured). When LA needed him the most in last years Finals, Kobe shied away from contact and settled for 3-pointers. Jordan was always willing to take the punishment inside the paint.

    His balls>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kobe's.

    His heart>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kobe's.

That's why it's insulting to put them on the same level. Kobe is a terrific scorer, Jordan was the total package.

  • There only a very few guys that I can think of that had Jordan's heart...A.I, Isiah, Larry legend, Magic and probably Reggie Miller...

  • @kOrOne79 jordan and kobe are the truth! lebron sucks!

  • @kOrOne79

i think Kobe is the total package also as a player. he's the second best SG ever in my opinion. but where Jordan is a 10 Kobe is an 8. thats the difference

  • @kOrOne79 This is far from true about kobe bryant. Your either say kobe doesnt have heart or he has raw talent.

  • 47,10,5.. great numbers... Has LeBron done this yet against a legendary dfence like Deroit during the bad boy years ? Does any one know the steals and blocks MJ had for this game ?

  • I loved Jordan's game during this era. Slashing through the lane, splitting double teams, quick pull-up jumpers...he was like a man possessed.

  • and ppl think kobe is better yeaaa right MJ is the best

  • Kobe is a great player...but MJ excelled in an era where defense was the name of the game...imagine that the Cavaliers were considered soft back then! Of course they didn't the Im gonna knock your head off attitude, like the Pistons, the Pat Riley led Heat and the Knicks...

  • One of the best playoff performances ever.

  • thx for the up.

The way MJ blew by Rodman with that crossover, SICK!!

Btw.... we got a glimpse of why teams used smaller (but shorter) defenders on MJ. Because he'd blow by anybody that was 6'5 and taller, just how he was abusing Rodman.

His speed and quickness is still unmatched by anybody above 6'3. Simply unreal.

  • yea mj quickness is incredible from his early days til 92/3. even in 93 he seems to slow down a bit, he still blows by kj, who is 6'1, who is also known for his speed.

by the way rodman is really cheap in this game, that play at 6:52 after he fouls mj hard, when all everyone is still in the body he tries to kick mj on his head as you can see from the replay. and that play at the end on nealy too.

  • Man...Rodman and Laimbeer...probably the dirtiest players ever...

  • 8:00 I get chills cause I remember watching that on Michael Jordan's Playground, great game by MJ 47,10,5. Great numbers....
