Keep in mind, Beck is at 5pm Olbermann is at 8pm in so called "Prime time" He destroys Olbermann on every single demographic there is. Its unreal how few people actually watch Olbermann. But the few that do buy into every word even though he has been called out on lying time and time and time and time again.

He found god in a church (you offered this point, liberals are 50/50 on religion) and turned his life around 180 degrees. Neurology has shown that the brain will re-wire itself to compensate for damage, if allowed to heal.
That was all fact there, it meets your argument about being drug-addled. The brain damage is healed, but the illness persists. Liberals champion this type of person.
In the past Beck hosted a radio program, used foul language and played music, ie a shock jock. Now his show is what the radio industry calls a conservative talk show, thus making him a talk show host.
You probally won't accept an education other that an Ivy-league degree as educated. This makes Albert Einstein uneducated in your mind. If you allow for not completing grade school, but having a degree from a smaller university, Einstein is okay, but you wouldn't accept Thomas Edison. If you acept some schooling, then you still consider Abraham Lincoln as uneducated.
If you accept grad school and a year at a college, then you have Beck. If you accept Lincoln as educated, you have to find Beck as educated...
Lincoln learned and earned his law credentials from just reading books.
Beck, a number of years ago, not long after he turned to god and began his recovery from alcohol, was told by his daughter that history is full of bad guys. To get more involve with his children's education, he began reading voratiously.
Beck has read on the founding of this country, including original sources. He has read good and bad histories of the people in history. He has read about all the Founding Fathers, including many you haven't hear about, about Pres Wilson, FDR, Harding, Kennedy, Reagan, and Obama. He's read Mao, Hitler, Stalin, Alinsky, Cloward & Piven. He has read most of what the current administration's advisors have writen. He has read economics past and current.
Beck has used this knowlegde and has predicted things accurately including bin Laden's significance, the housing bubble, the 2008 recession and various other things. Time magazine has recently backtracked on their making fun of Beck because he predicted the Greece collapse.
So, if knowledge from book learning is education, Beck is better educated that the entire of Washington DC at this point.

Beck's Interpretation is based on facts and constantly backed up ON THE AIR with said facts, atricles, etc... These are not things that are based on his axioms like you but based soley on fact.

@jeremy8080 Keith Olbermann is barely 1/5th of Becks ratings and Beck is at five o' clock. Beck has anywhere between 15 and 20 million viewers a week on his show. Keep in mind, Beck is at 5pm Olbermann is at 8pm in so called "Prime time" He destroys Olbermann on every single demographic there is. Its unreal how few people actually watch Olbermann. But the few that do buy into every word even though he has been called out on lying time and time and time and time again.

Beck is such a clown. What kind of idiot takes this guy seriously, anyway? I agree that Olbermann is a pompous ass, but Beck is a ratings whore who appeals to the non- and under-educated masses. Beck is pathetic and Fox News is infotainment. Beck is no social studies teacher, either. He's a former alcoholic and drug addict with ADHD who stumbled on a gimmick and it's working. Don't follow the Pied Piper. He's taking advantage of your ignorance and you're letting him do it. Grow up.

@mcoop221 Never once did I disavow his influence - I used the word "masses" for a reason. Lest we forget: Glenn Beck is the Father Coughlin for our times. And, of course, the under-educated among us are able to read. It's just that they're unable to process the concepts which are enmeshed in the words on the page. There exists a proverbial oceanic division of intellect. Sad.

You bring in irrelevant facts about his past social life for what reason? Many people are recovering alcoholics and/or addicts. By the grace of God, he turned his life around.

How is that different from Beck? Though he refers to an alternate hymnal - Beck's "interpretation" of the Founding Fathers' intentions - the message is the same: FEAR THE DEMOCRATS! And the only reason they adored what you term "big government" was because they were both militaristic and that was the only sure-fire way to exact control over a huge population. The Communism of the U.S.S.R. was Stalinism, not Marxism or Leninism. This same old tune about fearing big government is becoming tiresome.

The US is a Constitutional Republic and calls for a restricted gov't and individual liberties. That's the difference between Coughlin and Beck. Stay on point.

Beck's Interpretation is based on facts and constantly backed up ON THE AIR with said facts, atricles, etc... These are not things that are based on his axioms like you but based soley on fact.

@dfdrox Let's examine that. Father Coughlin wanted social justice and backed the National Socialists (a big gov't political group). Beck believes the gov't should be smaller and that justice under the law should be equal for all people no matter the color of their skin, their religious beliefs, their political party or how much money they have. Hmmm... Yes, those opposite views are exactly the same.... not.

I never referenced Coughlin's politics. But the analogy is valid. Coughlin spoke out in vulgar terms about the government. Coughlin had a huge following. Coughlin hid behind a perceived cloak of religion. Is any of this sounding familiar? Don't insult my intelligence. You don't have the muscle to compete.
