  • just thought of another very excellent rifle that is woth mention. .22mag/20ga over/under break-breach. When you're talking survival hunting it's possibly the most versatile tool there is. Lots of solid companies like Savage make them and there's lots of used ones floating around for good prices. I mention it because I don't see a lot of mention of them and they offer great choice for value.

  • @fifh89 good choice i have been looking for one of those

  • My go-to home defense is a Glock 21. I need a vacuum sealer and a dehydrator.

  • @DEMCAD dehydrator-excalibur-3900,vaccum sealer-food saver,model-v3825 is the one that i have,

  • I'm getting a dehydrator.

  • @DEMCAD excaliber 3900,is big,you dehydrate a lot of stuff ay one time

  • Sorry if you have addressed this in other videos, just curious what you think of .22 handguns? I was thinking less kick back for me so better aim with shots 2-10. Husband has a large caliber handgun that I hate shooting. I only load 1 bullet for practice because I don't feel like I have good enough conrol of the kick. (call me wimpy I guess) Plus I like minimizing the various ammo sizes I need to store (already have long range .22). Anyway, liked listening to this video.

  • @taushable you can kill anything with a 22,i have a 22 hand gun and i love it,if that is what you feel comfortable with , get one,i rather have you feel more comfortable with a 22 ,you will not think about kick, and more likely to use it if you need to,accuracy is more important then power, you fire a 45 with fear, you wont hit anything, get your 22

  • @taushable .22 is awesome. pick up a 500 round "brick" for like $20. very cheap shooting to make you confident and proficient. plus, 500 rounds is a lot of tasty bunnies in the freezer :) good luck!

  • A much needed video for "newbies" there is so much crazyness out there now, that it's wonderful to see someone getting the basics out there again. Wonderful!

  • 31:43 For what it's worth I've heard that a very small ring of finger nail polish around the casing mouth (bullet base) on ammo will help prevent damage from humidity and even being submerged in water. I'd imagine .22 rounds could have that done to them. It'd take a while to do though...

  • @tommy0135 it does not have to be complicated, vaccum seal with a little rice and you are done

  • GOOD JOB LUV YOUR VIDEOS AND THE ADVICE

  • There are too many schmucks out there that are spilling a lot of bad info. Plus a number of guys n gals that are now just in it to sell stuff, even though they started out just to help someone..

  • Though I have other guns, I love my 22's. I have a 22 revolver and a GSG5 22. Ammo is so cheap and thy are fun to proactice.

  • the last few videos you've done have equated to about 100+ hour of researching youtube for prepping and disaster preparedness. Thank you.

  • @mrdevilsadvocate954 that is why there are a little long, thank you

  • I disagree with you on the Shotgun issue. I think that a Shot gun loaded with birdshot is a GREAT home defense weapon. Yes I said birdshot. Because it won't kill what you shoot, and that fact will give me a quicker response time,, knowing that if it was my stupid neighbor or freind trying to steal my stuff, I would'nt blow them to bits. And the birdshot isn't going to go through the walls and kill my kids. But what ever I hit with a load of birdshot is going to stop

  • @sittinguy ok,but if is not your friend, you are going to have a very piss off intruder ,good luck to you

  • @jegtitan1962 @sittinguy Birdshot at close range can REALLY make a lot of damage. There's not so much difference between buckshot and birdshot at less than 5-7m, a likely engagement distance inside a house. People usually think that birdshot is harmless, a misconception only second to the "weak, lame, lousy..." .22LR. ALL depends on distances: a .50BMG can drop on the ground and birdshot can tear you appart.

  • @MPRStig thank you for the info

  • @sittinguy The only time you should be pointing a firearm at another individual and pulling the trigger is to take that life to defend yours or those you care about. If you can't bring yourself to take another person's life then don't own a firearm for self-defense. If you are employing a firearm for self-defense in a situation that does not warrant its use (i.e." friend trying to steal my stuff), then use a non-lethal alternative. Self-defense firearms are for killing...not for wounding.

  • @JeremyHopper007 yes sr,you said a mouth full,if you make the decision to reach for a gun you better be ready to used it,or thy will kill you with it,this the real world, not neverland, you make that choice, you better be ready to see it to the end, specialy in shtf, you brake in to my home you die,end of story, fuck the friend or neighbor

  • Once again for the3 millionth time, thanks for all your help and advice, knowledge is power. The Remington is the best investment that i've made.

  • Could you suggest other channels that you think have good information, I am subscribed to a few but might add a couple more. Thanks

  • @TheSilverbullet99 lol I sent this early in the video, could you put in link or name in description/show more area, can't seem to spell brunoprepper correctly

  • @TheSilverbullet99 brookling prepper,not bruno.lol

  • You are the funniest prepper I know, brother! LOL!

  • @leadpersuasion thank you , i think

  • holy shit didint know .22 can twist like that. I actually went to my closet to test it LOL

  • @jegtitan1962 No Need to Say Sorry i watched About 25 minutes of it (Currently 2 am) Will Watch rest tomorow

  • @iBlacklash 2 am,oh that right,my australian friend,thank you,get some rest,love you my friend,thank you for your support

  • @jegtitan1962

No offense taken brother. I am perfect fighting weight now :) I was just showing how easy it is if it means allot to you. Control of calorie intake is key in fitness and survival. Be Safe

  • excellent can't wait for more

  • I agree

  • I thought you weren't making vids any more? I'm glad you still are though :)

  • 7.62 is more then likely the last thing I'd be using in a shtf situation. I agree with you, the safest place is your house. If your not safe in your house, then when you leave, were will be safer? More then likely in a house confrontation I'd be using my shotgun, with a handgun ready, just in case I couldn't load the shotgun fast enough if the attacker was close I'd use my secondary. My assault rifle will be used for people down the street or across the street in distance threat. Good video bro

  • Yes I unsuscribed from Nn'F long ago too.

  • @MPRStig i was no talking about him in particular ,i was somebody else,

  • Here's a thought for a vid. to new preppers, "How to deal with friends and family who think your nuts.

  • @fingalfin been there ,so call friends,is the title of the video

  • @jegtitan1962

Another great video. There are so many channels here that say they are trying to help and you find out they are B S. You always need to think. From weapons to security, there are frauds out there, EVERYWHERE. People need to use information but THINK for themselves, If they don't they are already dead. Be Safe Brother

  • How will you cook all those beans if the power is out?. Do you have a solar oven?

  • @sittinguy i have at least 90 meals,dehydrated,will make more,solar ovens take to long to cook,i am getting a rocket stove,an have a 2 burner gas stove

  • I like your views about prepping, and what is coming in the future.

But your vids are really long.

  • @sittinguy i like to take my time and make sure,i get my point across, sorry,it what it is

  • Try to improve the lighting on your face many of your vids look dark because the light is above you (maybe powder down that shine), Children and remember to mention older folks. Thank you for speaking clearly.

  • @Preppher working on,it,thank you,i am working on several videos,children and older folks,included

  • Love your vids..dont EVER stop making them, ty

  • i like that you keep religion talk to minimum. we are all people and should be on "team people". i travel a lot all over the world and meet many different cultures. you see the world differently after experiencing that for sure.

  • It's interesting that you have been a prepper for 20 years because I only started a couple of years ago. My awareness of the world was not too long ago was weak at best. You have been through a lot from being aware. I don't like to call it being "awake" because it's sounds cult like but something happens to people who become awake or aware, especially ona hyper level. Very scary at times. I like hearing your perspective. You are the kind of person I want for a neighbor. Myneighbors are zombies.

  • Good video, & not just for new preppers.Anyone that seeks information on Youtube over time, will run into people that mislead. Some that are very good at it & it may take a while to find them out.I was pulled into the Elenin hype, for a while. The level of work that was put into the videos by these people was amazing. But in the end, it was slick powerpoint presentations that pulled & twisted information from other sources & repackaged, to suit an agenda.Lies stuffed, into the skin of the truth...

  • What martial art do you think is the best?

    Thumbs up to the vid.

  • @simonashari the one that you are good at,we are all build diferent, personally i like aikido,it works better for me

  • I want to pick a night compass. Do u have working experience with either tritium or luminescence? Thank you for stick around. I appreciate the authenticity and honesty of your earlier vids. After you finish your patio, I look forward to your vid on gas masks. As a fellow-lefty, I have "working" experience with the Irsaeli. Thank you for keeping it honest. I appreciate you keeping it real. I cross-reference and listen between the lines. What do you think about the Henry AR-7 Survival rifle?

  • @bladeimm i dont like compass that reflect light, you should no navigate at nite,as for the henry,is a good rifle to have in your emergency bag,it has been around for a long time

  • Java Goooooood ! another great vid my brother !

  • How can you post such long videos?

  • @iBlacklash i like to take my time to get my point across, sorry that is just me

  • *gets morning coffee, literally*

I'm actually losing weight so I'll be fit when SHTF. As soon as SHTF starts I'm going to ration myself regardless of how much I've got in reserve. It's pretty easy getting to 2k calories, I find. A simple sausage is already somewhere between 100 to 200 calories. Spread it across the day, many smaller meals, and you'll not go hungry and stay fit.

  • @chocoboasylum lol i didnt expect sum1 else watching his vids this early

  • @chocoboasylum

Heard that on the weight loss. in the last 5 months i have lost 38 pounds, and the key is counting calories. I only take in 1200 to 1400 a day. I have held my current weight now for 4 weeks. now i know that is all i need. Be safe

  • @Drone1njj was not my intencion,to ofende over weight people, just making a point, but is good that you are loosing it,i will be much easier to deal with this
