  • even if the sound is fake its still a real wolf...get over it. its pretty rare to see one howling in the first place

  • way to pervert a fuckin' wild animal by inserting sounds. take some hunters' safety and learn some respect. you fuckin' city people are the death of us all.

  • @MrSpok1975 Shot through a spotting scope from over a mile away and roadside - could hear a faint, delayed howl, but my camera could not puck it up. MrSpok1975, you're not wanted here and only embarrassed yourself and exposed your personal issues with you comment.

  • Don't you love people who can't read the friggin caption, lovely clip and sound no matter where it came from!

  • Even if its a fake its obvious this wolf is lost.

  • Aww :'(

  • if he was howling to his pack like u said then hes not a lone wolf he's ALONE lol

  • Is this wolf pregnant? Her stomach appears to be "active." Run at full screen and at high resolution ... check it out.

  • Nice shot and fade in. I had to turn my speaker up to hear it though,

  • i love it!

  • EPICNESS ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

  • badass gangster wolf_

  • Maybe Turks too, the one doesn't necessarily exclude the other.

  • Greeks always respected these animals, wolves appear in Greek Mythology as Apollo's Followers/Helpers. Maybe that's why their population here is rising.

  • Not greeks but Turkish.

  • I don't see how all these beautiful animals could be killed in the UK... Just because 1 man told a king they were assosiated with the devil :-/

And because of this I'll never see a wild wolf in the UK :(

  • well its 2009...if you want to you can reintroduce them. It really has nothing to do with the past it has everything to do with the UK mindset in the present. Its east do a study to find the wolf sub species that exists that most closely resembles the one that was in the UK. Set large tracts of land aside...and release a few dozen....problem solved...but as I said its your generation that wont allow it....don't blame a past king so you can feel good...its your fault.

  • @cchanderson how is it their fault? Wow, it's just so simple for one person to go out and find a similiar species of wolf, and set them free. So simple! God...

  • The filthy Brits destroyed wild life in Africa and India as well, mighty uncivilized, greedy, grubby fingered, savages they were, the lot of them.

  • Brilliant!!! Such a lonely, yet haunting sound,,, I wish i could understand the language of the wolf.... thanks for posting

  • Humans are bastards they always have to mess with nature, they should just leave them alone animals don't bother anyone and if they would that would be because humans stick their nose where their not supposed to,leave mother nature to do what it has to do...

  • I agree there is things that we shouldn't mess with but if It wasn't for humans stepping in when Yellowstone had lost a lot of its population then there might not be any wolves left in Yellowstone.

  • if it weren't for humans they wouldn't have to be in Yellowstone

  • sweet looking wolf

  • why cant people just leave them alone?

  • By far one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard.

  • it looks so lonely..

  • host len host

  • the most awesome animal ever!!!! only human ignorance and fear painted the wolf in the wrong way...... they are more like us humans than we dare to admit .. the american indians had got it right as they said "My Brother, the Wolf"

  • Err... are wolves dangerous? I mean -do they attack you if you run into one?

  • They won't. They will really rarely attack...

Don't get it why people give you thumbs down for a normal question tho :P

  • no wolves are highly social and friendly but if you were to run into a mother and her pups and you were to harm one or take one from her then she might only attack oyu because she is only being a good mother :D

  • He's alone,like me...

  • YOU NOT ALONE OU OU HI

  • thank you

  • dont worry i no just wat u feel

  • perfect stay like that my brother and while you are in that state find yourself find pleasure and excitement in your thoughts

a lone wolf is usely above averege

  • This is just an amazing sound and.. wow. But I have one question, Do you know if the wolf actually found the pack? Because I felt soo bad for him. But this again.. just blew my mind. thanks

  • this is so sad, he's all alone :'(

  • looks like he's lost?

  • Wolves don't get lost.

  • Despite the fact that the howl was dubbed in, this is still a nice vid. =3

And Elkoholic307, STFU. Leave use "wolf lovers" be.

  • poor guy, can't find his pack... ...I hope he made it back ok...

  • Lovely video, but that's a fake howl - I used to have it for my ICQ messenger, years ago.

  • Sunac - yes, if you read my caption included with the video, that might help. I will paste a portion of it here for you: "....The wolf-howl in the video is dubbed since the actual howl was very faint - in reality, there was a long visual delay between when this wolf lowered its head after a howl and when the sound of the howl actually reached me... "

  • Have any of you heard of "Thw Wolves of Yellowstone," book?

Wow. It's a great book. It's about how the wolves were brought back to Yellowstone. amazing work of art.

  • I just hope and pray the wolves will be saved.

  • If you don't even watch the video and just listen... it's like the entire earth, for those few seconds, had it's own voice. It's crying.

  • gummybeayuh, they werent killed off due to nature. the people that moved there in early america killed them off as predators because of fear for them selves, live stock and homes. they belong in yellowstone. as for the coyote population dropping thats just life. yellowstone is gettin back to its proper balance

  • This is what happens when the Idiots decide it is so great to re-release Wolves into territory they were kicked out of. The Coyote population of Yellowstone has been decimated by 50%. Not to mention that Grey Wolves are also showing up all over Nebraska & the Great Plains now, locations where they never existed before. I have nothing but love for Wolves, as I found myself spellbound when I witnessed one in Upstate NY before. However, screwing with natural selection & bringing them South is bad.

  • Fightfan said it all. But considering that we've decimated large amounts of forest and natural habitat for housing, released toxins into the atmosphere, created the greenhouse effect...do you think reintroducing wolves into a habitat is the most of our worries?

  • Wolfs have populated as much as the planet as humans. And terrain for them is natural.

  • Wonderful video, love the steam coming out of his/her mouth. We visit Yellowstone yearly, last year we were lucky enough to come upon an entire pack in the wee hours at dawn. They surrounded my vehicle and escorted through part of the park. It was like a dream. As we went in different directions, one of them stopped and looked back at us. It was very cool. Love you video, thanks for posting it.

  • I LOVE that howl!!! I LOVE wolves!

I do hope he found his pack!

Thanks SOOO much for posting this wonderful video!

  • if you actually did some research on them, wolves have never attacked humans, they run from them [with good reason] and i bet a wolf would be a better person than you'll ever be!

good thing you got banned =]

  • i get the chills every time i hear it

  • We killed millions of wolves, so why do people cry out when one person in killed by a wolf.

  • @PhantomSephiroth

because wolves have no families or friends to care for them

i love wolves too but something`s not right with you my friend

  • everyone, just ignore freeman. u know wat he's saying isn't true, then lets just leave it. Let him ramble on all he wants, but we still love wolves, right? lets just leave him stupidly saying wolves kill for no reason.

  • lol, if wolves kill for no reason, what does he think about slaughter houses?

    just a thought there =]

  • true true

  • They so DO NOT kill for no reason. Idiot, bastard. They always have a reason. Hunger, accident, stuff like that.

And slaughter houses are wrong. Take it from a vegetarian

  • good job!

  • So what freeman why do you hate wolves? Ive been watching several videos and i have seen your pathetic LYING redneck post on all of em. Please take your lies and go striaght to the abyss. And while this MIGHT be a bit harsh, i can think of those beautiful wolves using your dumb ignorant ass as a chew toy and it brings a smile to my face...so how do you like someone killing your ignorant message as you post them

  • Get your facts straight before trying to further ruin the reputation of a wolf.

There have been no documented attacks of a wild healthy wolf on a human IN HISTORY. Ever. End of story. In other words, go to Hell with the rest of you wolf haters.

  • Thank you, but try not to be so hatefull to them. That makes you almost as bad as they are.

  • Poor lil Guy He/She lokked Very Lonley

  • I love Wolf howl Tho that One Was kind Scary.. Id hate To here That Alone In the Dark :O

  • Listen to the children of the night, what sweet music they make!

  • man that´s beautiful

  • is Good to See Humans standing up and together for those that cannot.

    Sincerly AGORWOLF

  • Yeah, the bible also says that you can sell your daughter to slavery. The bible also tells of a sotry where a man takes 2 of every animal on a ship? I don't know about you but I'll think for myself instead of the bible telling my whats right or wrong. :)

  • DUDE common ! did you not see the '';)'' at the end of the comment ? incase you are not aware thats the blinking smiley.

    In English = i was being sarcastic ... jeez ! :)

  • It's howl feels sad and lonely, yet beautiful and warm.

I respect the wolf so much and think it deserves to be on the planet just as much as any person. ;)

  • This wolf is a winner in howling competition...stops your blood.

  • wolves are the 1st and oldest companions of all mankind and as such they should be honored and respected.

  • i respect them.wolves are cool

  • Wolves are the best animals in existence and their cry though mournful is beautiful

  • Did you know sometimes a wolf howls if its sad?

  • notice how every single howl is identical...hmmm

  • That's an understandable observation. However, couldn't it be possible that the sounds were deliberately identical in order to ensure that the message being relayed was heard?

  • I can say "Hi" 10 times and they would all sound the same as the first time I said it.

  • There is nothing more beautiful than the howl of a wolf!

  • The perfect word for it: Melancholy... very sad.

  • poor thing prob. lost its pack or was cast out wolves are nice and shy to us but in their packs their are so fierce

  • wow! I love wolves they are amazing, I hope some day to see and hear them in the wild. but wolves are a lot closer with us then we think!!dont forget that or dogs actually are wolves to, about 14 genarations ago they lived in the wild, if your dog here this sound of a howlinf wolf he respands try it I will say

  • so this is a "call the pack" howl? I was searching like crazy for this specific wolf howl. When someone mentions wolf howls, this is the sounds im thinking about

  • my dog was sleeping when i watched it and when it howled it slammed its head on my bed hehe great wolf howls relaxing

  • such an eerie noise

  • For some reason it makes me want to cry

  • sigh... i feel so sad.... its a sad howling som how....... i hope it gets a pack soon...

  • Yes - this is commented on already, but I will repeat again:

In actuality this wolf would howl, and I could not hear it until well after he lowered his head - I tried to slide the original sound up using pinnacle, but this worked out much better. Still an actual wolf howl though - and it is beautiful!

  • That is THE most beautiful sound I have ever heard, it just fills my soul.

  • Ahh,such a beautiful sound!

  • thats because hes repeating the same message. If I was a wolf, thats how I would look

  • wolves r the most amazing animals ever...

hearing them howl is so relaxing and comforting

they r so beautiful i love them!

  • Yes - in actuality this wolf would howl, and I could not hear it until well after he lowered his head - I tried to slide the original sound up using pinnacle, but this worked out much better. Still an actual wolf howl though - and it is beautiful!

  • wolves r the best , they can jump 12 feet high.

  • people think im weird for this but i think a wolfs howl is like music to my ears

  • I tend to agreed with your opinion.

  • I'd heard rumors of wolf packs nearby. Just an hour ago I heard them howling while on a walk. Came here to confirm the howl as coming from a wolf. Absolutely unmistakably a wolf howl. Must have been a few of them.

  • Anybody heard of shaun ellis? he lives with wolves and he explains what different howls mean. Wish i lived with wolves.

  • me too

  • wolves rule!

  • Beautiful dark wolf! He remembers me of a picture of Fenrir out of celtic mythology from where I took my tagname (he was much larger in the picture, and scarier). In some places Fenrir was called Vanargand. I wished there where a wolfgod hwo would visit all those hwo dare hunt those beautiful creatures down and bite them in the ass!
