i feel the same way about razer as you! And razer mice have sooo much missing things like extra covers (like logitech) and weights (like most gaming mice) But now the g9x has 5700 DPI. thats all i know :D and g500 is good too!

And i think this upgrades from G5 and G9 are great ideas! that's what i would do! Listen to fans and users to see what to improve. And g500 is great choise. I had the G5 in my hands a few times and its the best gaming mouse that i had in my hands ever! it fits my hand perfectly! all i'm missing are more finctions. Gonna check what g500 has to offer :D

dpi is important, ofc you dont cahnge and use it that all alot, but i play 2500 dpi in CSS but thats way for fast for example Left 4 Dead were i play 1600

and on the detoskop i use 1200 i need dpi its stuid to use the same in all games, as normally diferent games has a diferent has a diferent speed setting and you need to find the dpi perfect for you

There is a sensitivity setting in almost every game. If a game is fast and has no sensitivity setting, you are never going to use more than 1600, which almost every mouse will have.

Not for gaming. I hate my wireless mouse for gaming, the 1 or 2 millisecond lag really adds up. I actually almost played better on a laptop than on my desktop, which has a wireless mouse.

the usb controll gives out 500 reports a second

in other words. the mouse will give trough anny info 5 times every one milisecond

so you yust said you feel the diference between a mouce with a card(no idea how fast the data stream is) and a cordless once that needs 1/5th of a milisecond to send the info trough

Well, you clearly haven't met a person who used both 4000DPI and a 1800DPI mouse before. My Deathadder has on-the-fly sensitivity too, whops. Higher DPI means higher accuracy, but you won't be able to detect the difference of the accuracy (not speed) of a 2000dpi and 4000dpi. It has higher speed, so what. You can change the speed (sensitivity) on any mouse. They add higher DPI so that they can up the price tag so ppl who are deceived would pay more. Same goes to contrast ratio for screens.

Been a little bored today so tried some new colour combos and tried adjusting the settings.

At first i was using default 5 sensitivity and 1200dpi. Then i tried 2 sensitivity and 3200dpi, and that gave me the same speed but better accuracy. Woudl be better for sniping this way.

i also tried changing the weights. I use the lighter 5g for Quake, and 10 or 15g for cod4 so i have a steadier aim(theres also a 20g weight).
