(continued) even if the bacteria aren't visibly impacting them (which they don't always), it has been shown that they can and do shed pathogenic bacteria in their stool. Further, many of these bacteria can and do pick up antibiotic resistance genes from commensal bacteria traveling through the GI tract.
You've put together a very nice, very 'touchy' video, which is fine, but can you actually back up any of the claims that you've made? Have you reviewed the evidence for and against BARF diets? Can you show that the diet you're advocating is properly balanced? What about bacterial content? You may *claim* that a dogs digestive tract can handle the bacterial load, but where is your evidence? Dogs can, and do get salmonellosis. Dogs can and are colonized by these bacteria (cont)
@ibycus314 I don't see the advantage of feeding raw as opposed to cooked meat. I do see unnecessary risk of Salmonella contamination to humans via the dog's mouth, feces, anal area and food bowl. All of these things have been documented to contain live Salmonella which can infect humans. There is also a risk of Campylobacter infection to both the dog and humans. This diet is risky, unnecessary and shown to be nutritionally deficient.
@pammeadows101.. Unless you go to your local butcher and ask for scraps.. thats cheap.. there are different grades of meat. if you buy human grade chicken opposed to butchers scraps, Yeah. your going to spend, but ask for scraps, then buy fruits and veggies, thats not expensive is it? where im from you can get turkey backs and necks for $1.50 a lb..

@pammeadows101 Actually, no. I spend $20 a month on meat for 2 dogs. It's as cheap as grocery store kibble.

@pammeadows101 You eat meat I assume. If you buy it for yourself, what make your furry family member different?

why call it barf?
i think it would sell way better with a different name.
At first when i saw the video descripion, i thought it might be hoax.
Raw food for dogs is a good idea though, it just makes sense, good luck!
