A problem I could see with people and Gallagher is he has a lot of jokes that have to do with history (somewhat) and this current generation isn't bright on that subject either.
I really like the show he put on in my hometown, the audience let him do his thing and he left everyone alone unless they were brave enough to come on stage, I also went up and got to swing the sledge-o-matic, I smashed a carton of chocolate soy milk and when I did it went forward and to the left, soaking the front row and Gallagher head to toe in it! He just stood there and then gave me a face full of flour but it was great! He's just fussy when people do certain things, BUT THAT'S GALLAGHER...

@Psilaxs Honestly, if I was sitting sitting in that audience I'd prefer he did what he did. Tell them to shut up and get out so I could enjoy the rest of the show rather than have to listen to them talk the whole time. If more entertainers did that maybe people would stop being rude at live performances.
Gallagher may be older and he may not be the hottest item right now, but he still puts on a funny show. As for the heckler, all I can say is he could have handled it a different way other than being rude and selfish and interrupting Gallagher, (as well as the audience for that matter), while he's trying to do his show which is how he makes his living. Tell them to shut up and get out so I could enjoy the rest of the show rather than have to listen to them talk the whole time. Yes it ruins the moment to have him say all that, but I'd rather that than have those idiots ruin the whole show. If more entertainers did that maybe people would stop being rude at live performances.

I was really surprised to see a current skit online. If the ahole hadn't got up and heckled him, they might have gotten to see the "best of gallegher instead of the worst.

don't go see Gallagher perform if he pisses you off. Find something else to do. I saw him in Norfolk Va and was surprised to see him mingling with the crowd waiting to get in, making small talk about his tour and such. Very cool that he's just a regular off stage, yet can still carry on a show like he did in his HBO specials. Gallagher quote "Why do people sit and smoke up all their pot at once? Not getting higher that way people, just lower on stash".

Gallagher's material is dated but he is still funny. He doesn't have to resort to vulgarity to get laughs like today's commedians. The reason that today's digital age rejects can't understand his humor is because, much like Bill Cosby's humor, it's intellectual. You know the audience has to actually THINK.

This same sort of thing happened at a show I attended last month. Some retarded people didn't know how to shut up and he eventually kicked them out.
