The reason Lyoto's method to escape was to circumvent the many fighters out there that are impatient and like to charge in too aggressively. His strategy makes even the most aggressive fighter manageable at best. I will agree that this sport is all about "show", so Machida does have to step it up or else he'll lose in popularity. People want a mean fighter on the championship belt. Machida just needs to turn up the heat.

Bisping was barely able to stand up right after the end of the round cause he got rocked so bad and was lucky the fight ended or he would of been unconscious and being driven to the hospital. I can't remember the Franklin fight so I won't comment on that but when the Bisping fight ended there was no doubt Silva won that one. Dodgey my ass.

Both silva vs franklin and shogun vs machida were close fights... expecially the machida one... but the judges made good decision. Shogun didnt desurve the win, you have to really beat the champ to become champ.. flashy leg kicks arnt enough.

If you try to use the argument that Machida won the fight because the judges said so, then you are missing the point once again. The judges were wrong on the scoring of the fight. Do you understand?

The reason Lyoto's method to escape was to circumvent the many fighters out there that are impatient and like to charge in too aggressively. His strategy makes even the most aggressive fighter manageable at best. I will agree that this sport is all about "show", so Machida does have to step it up or else he'll lose in popularity. People want a mean fighter on the championship belt. Machida just needs to turn up the heat.

I like machida how he is, winning the official way... UFC POINTS. Not by impressing the crowd like wanderlie... People just love shogun and wanderlie and wont accept them losing so they cry... franklin beat silva, and machida beat shogun... both close fights but the judges did a good job.
