Buying guitars with a pre-conception that only "expensive=good" means you're missing out on very good cheap guitars.

Danelectro were cheap when they came out (and still are!) but they're some of the most fun guitars to play! I'm not saying Gibson/Fender/etc aren't good. I'm saying guitars don't need to cost a fortune to be good.

Sometimes it's good to spend a small amount and find you have a great beater you can cherish because of its inexpensiveness.

I bought one of the guitars on ebay for $132.50. It is a cool gimick, but in terms of quality it is VERY weak. I had a First Act Tele that I got for $50 at TJ Maxx, and this was the same. I just traded it with my Samick AV-3 and my Mexican Strat for an American Strat with dual dimarzios. The VW First Act has a very poor fretboard, and the pickups are fair at best. Again, it is kind of a cool gimick and looks nice, but doesn't play well at all.

definitely not jealous, I've played in bands for 20 years. He may have gloves, but they're not covering his digits. Most cover bands rock this song in high school...maybe it was cold out there, I will say that gigging in cold weather sucks and I've lost feeling in the digits in cold weather
