  • 0:57 - 1:36 is fantastic.

  • Wow. Super cool. I didn't realize Mormons were so awesome. I think I'll investigate this church that produces such awesome people. Maybe joining will make me super cool too?

  • @ApeironGnosis I think you have to do that all by yourself. So far your attempt at comedy could use a little work don't quit your day job :) But seriously it isn't about appearing super cool for whatever reason you think so. It is just to share that we are people too and come from all backgrounds, cultures, countries, and interests. By your comment and others it shows that clearly it was a needed effort due to the ignorance out there as to our people and our beliefs.

  • hipster

  • @lmadigan1971 or maybe it's all true and the Mormon religion is God's Church? Only one way to know I guess and that is to read the Book of Mormon, pray and ask God directly. Best on you.

  • I hope the next President is Mormon.....NOT BECAUSE, I am a Mormon......

BUT BECAUSE Mitt Romney is the best person for the job.....

  • @thestunter05 Yes, Mormons are Christians.

Mormons practiced polygamy until 1890. It was then abolished. For more information about the abolishment of polygamy, go here: scriptures(.)lds(.)org/od/1.

  • What does you being a mormon have anything to do with your accomplishments?

  • @FoxPaul1 I can't answer for Josh but for me without God our Father I would not be here none of us would be, without Jesus Christ life would literally have no meaning, all of our gifts and talents are gifts from God. How we use them is completely up to us as is how we share what we feel, believe and live. This was Josh's way of expressing himself that is the best answer I can give you.

  • HOLY VERT!!!!!!! That was beautiful brother!!! I'm not a mormon, I'm a Christian, but I'm still happy you believe in Christ & are spiritual!!! I saw the "I'm an ex-mormon" adds here on YouTube & it made me sad because those people are atheists now, & atheists make me sad!!! It's so weird because they think they got it right, but they don't, & I worry about their souls! I feel very sorry for them!!!

  • @HonRevPTB me too we are all brothers and sisters and God the Father loves all of us equally. I think it is sad when people are farther away from truth, light and peace especially in their heart. I have a hard time believing in atheism it takes far too much faith for me to believe what they propose it is far less likely on both an intellectual and spiritual level.

  • dont drink its in the bible smoke weed instead :)

  • Great cinematography but I just cannot get into the Mormon faith.

  • @ITYLater What's not to love about it since it is all about bettering yourself, following the teachings of Jesus Christ and the gospel of good news by living the lifestyle and just as Josh says it can take a good person and make them better. Just as the reason Christ came was to help each and every one of us be better people, and most importantly to commit to doing so in the name of Christ.

  • @ITYLater give it time. you haven't thought about it long enough yet...

  • or you cud just wear skate shoes?

  • I am very thankful for the teachings of the church and teachings of Jesus Christ and his gospel. My life would have little or no meaning without him. It has also given me a perspective to love all others unconditionally, even those who do not believe in following Jesus Christ or do not believe in God at all. However, personally I believe that doesn't mean He doesn't believe in them and all of his children. May we all learn to be happy and grateful for what we do have versus what we don't.

  • you said God gave us individuality and that we're unique and we're not robots or chess pieces, Why do the missionaries all dress the same? and I was told to wear a shirt and Tie if i went to an LDS church, Couldn't I just go dressed as how I always do? God looks at the heart no clothes, Just wondering too, not trying to be insulting or anything

  • @Bassmasta1222 why would you be asked to dress nicely for an orchestra, broadway show, symphony, to enter an important formal function. Typically it is to show respect, for us it is to show show respect to God, by wearing our best and being clean physically and with proper hygiene. This is not to be snooty but for this reason alone. If you have nothing nicer to wear you are always welcome to attend church as you are. God created us all to be individuals and encourages our uniqueness.

  • @Veritatis101 Oh Absolutely, Thanks for the good answer, I've gotten several mixed answers, But your's is good, Respect man

  • @lmadigan1971 If you think you know what we believe you probably don't. It's true humans can be deceived and that means every single one of us, including yourself. If I were to believe a fraction of the garbage that is put out there by those who untentionally or deliberately claim to 'know' what we believe and teach I'd agree with you 100% however, thank God that I was blessed with a mind and intelligence and ability to learn and make choices on my own and know what we actually believe.

  • @godsavesisthetruth we believe correct me if im wrong no one goes to hell unless they know of the truth and then deny it in our soul

  • cool man, personaly, im not a mormon tho...

  • Well done Josh-you please the Savior by letting your light shine..stay safe. tko.

  • i'm liking this "i'm a mormon campaign" more and more with each video i see. i'm mormon and i also skate, and you dont see many mormons that do. so i was super excited when i saw this one.

haha right when i saw the shredded shoe with shoe goo on it i knew lol

  • Me like it! Awesome.

  • I'm mormon and I skate too... the book of Mormon is of God.

  • @jkulesha Amen to that one you know the ones who haven't actually read it are the ones who are the ones most 'certain' it is not. How will you know if you don't actually read it? I have personally never found any book which teaches more about Jesus Christ than the Book of Mormon the only other one would be the Holy Bible and we we absolutely love and revere it as well right along side the Book of Mormon. Stick of Judah and Joseph, Ezekiel 37:19.

  • @Veritatis101 Agreed. I see that a lot. Plus you have Isaiah 29 and Revelations 14:6.

  • at :50 or so....is he wearing a g string?

  • @sparta07871 actually if you read the comments no it is a type of string/belt that skateboarders typically wear. I got a lot of questions and responses back from skateboarders on that one. :)

  • @sparta07871 LMFAO HAHAHAHAHA

  • @Haliotro actually if you read the comments no it is a type of string/belt that skateboarders typically wear.

  • I don't care if you're a mormon, but you seem like a very decent human being. I lost my passion for skateboarding several years ago, but your video reminds me of what it is to be a skateboarder. Thanks for posting.

  • I don't care if you're a mormon, but you seem like a goddamn decent human being.

  • i hav a mormon friend, she is nice. whoa. (=

  • I love this you are real and a nice person who is sincere and truthful and I admire your willingness to share a glimpse of your life with others. May Heavenly Father bless you in all your efforts. I agree the good principles taught in the church are exactly what teaches us the value of the uniqueness of each one of us. :)

  • Thanks for sharing the TRUTH for a change it is refreshing.

  • there are verry fue mormons who use the church as a good thing, and you are one of them :P (from what i can see). congrats

  • first i was like..wooo he looks like a pretty cool guy , then that god dam thong showed up and i lost all respect......tho i still think hes a cool guy

  • @kibbi123 Actually its a shoelace belt, you see it alot in skate videos and there is always a person claiming its a thong.

  • "The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off. Why should I? Light up the darkness." ~Bob Marley

  • I love this it shows we are real people...amazing who would've thought!? LOL

  • @pangeanet, Personally i never felt like I was a victim as a mormon. I no longer follow the religion, but while i did i never felt abnormal or like i was not a human being. I dont really think being mormon puts you at a disadvantage, not the way being black or mexican does.

  • Gee, I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I am NOT a mormon.

  • @wldist I have countless friends and even family who are also followers of Christ and not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Awesome! :-)

  • Do/believe as you want. as long as you keep on beeing athentic: you are awesome

Thanxs for beeing inspiration throught beeing throuthfull to your individuality

    :-)

  • This is why Christian channels disable their ratings. YouTube is filled with bandwagon atheists.

  • I like your vid...I AM A CHRISTIAN..Does that differ from the morman way of life?

  • @PeachyGeeky not as much as you might think. Do you believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ? Do you believe in actually following them and not just discussing them on Easter and Christmas or for a few minutes each Sunday? Do you try to show unconditional love to all even those who despitefully use and persecute you? Do you like to drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes? Do you try not to use profanity with every other word? Do you love the union of man and woman in marriage? I could go on :-)

  • nice skate tricks!!!

  • I expect a skateboarder to believe in God. The truth is there is no God but people substitute him for things that they can not comprehend.

  • @yelir92 which one is it? You just said to things that contradict each other.

  • hey my firend told me about a morman guy on youtube named shaycarl is this him

  • Hey, look at this, a well traveled, non-sheltered, intelligent guy who speaks for himself and can make it in this world with no issues. According to atheists, only non-religious folk fit this criteria.

  • usually all religions make people better.. just some religions are less ridiculous than others

  • Just as I suspected. There is no respect for true freedom of speech by dogmatists of all stripes. To the extent they can control the thoughts expressed in the public forum they will. Naturally it is done for the general good because they KNOW they are doing good. One of the things that made me leave Mormonism is reading J.S. Mill’s 'On Liberty' and realizing that my Mormon upbringing never taught me respect for true intellectual discourse. Mormonism is nothing but intellectual slavery.

  • @TulliusVII Ironic because I was brought up by two college professors my dad attended Columbia and had a PhD. I have personally found the exact opposite. However, that it has given me insights I otherwise would not have had. In fact, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Saints is the ONLY church that could even come close to answering all the questions I had.

  • I agreed with it until I realized these are the same people who shot down the gay marriage bill.

    =/ All about love huh?

  • @Maj2004 first of all it was registered California voters who voted yes for proposition 8 in the state of California. The church simply said they supported marriage of a man and a woman and asked for voluntary donations from American citizens. Big jump from that to your comment. You can love someone and not agree with them. Do you agree with everyone just because they want you to?

  • Damn, I've never seen a video that has more dislikes than likes....freakin' atheist, get bent!

  • @TitanTanguisFTW I have to admit in regard to the votes I was trying to figure out what it is specifically they don't like is it that he is a skateboarder, a male, a non-atheist, a US citizen no wait could be simply because he is of another faith or proscribes to share his own personal beliefs with complete strangers and happens to be a Mormon? Goes to show who is tolerant and who is not.

  • Equality and respect for all. Even Mormons. No H8te

  • @santitos2001 Even Mormons lol well that's very kind of you. We all have the right to believe and speak how we choose there should be not hate period on either side.

  • It all sounds fine and dandy but he didn't mention anything about the holy book that makes all kinds of outrageous claims in which it is required for Mormons to believe. There are lots of great books, help centers, and other groups that people can subscribe to that don't require having faith in ancient stories and superstition.

You can be good and moral without religion. You can better yourself without holy books or church. You can live a purposeful life without God.

  • @dukeigthorn20 I agree you can live a purposeful life but you could be living a more full life with God in it. I have good friends who claim to be athiests. :-)

Well the core teachings of the book are loving others unconditionally, about serving God by helping your neighbor, not committing adultery, not cheating on your spouse, having integrity in all of your actions, not committing murder, not stealing, lying, protecting children and the innocent. All the teachings of Jesus Christ, period.

  • do you like bacon?

  • ok so what was the point of this video and y has it got so many views

  • Why does everyone think that to believe means to choose a religion?

Oh yeah, because of churches that are literary advertising they're religion. To call you're self a Mormon,Christian e.t.c. means to follow a somebody's else believes and understanding. Almost all religious leaders waned they're lesson to be learned but them selves to be forgotten.

  • God told me that I should be a moron too. And I am.

  • jim carry!!!

  • I don't need to be better. I'm human. I'm not nice because a god tells me to be, I'm nice because I CAN be. I embrace my insignificance and my failure as part of who I am. I'm not afraid of death. I don't need to be told what is right and what is wrong. "God" wants you to have free-will, to make you're own decisions. Unless those decisions aren't what he wants. Then you go to hell. It's not REAL free-will, when you think about it. I'm not the one who blind. I'm not the robot. You are.

  • @randommonkeycrap Well I don't consider myself a robot, never have, always made my own choices like we all do. It is really about choice for me, we are free to choose what we believe, how we interpret all the information we are given at any time and then allowed to choose what we will do in response. I also try not to react so much as to think about things before I do them. Nothing like making a mistake or saying something you can never take back.

  • ii like the beanie look

  • You are a role model for a clean spirited person. Just brush the haters off lol, Thumbs up

  • how the whole can u believe in God, we became who we are by accident and evolution.

  • @yakamuci I personally believe it takes far more faith to believe that life come from nothing randomly "over many millions of years" (LOL) I love that explanation, than from a creator with intelligence. But we are each free to choose to believe how we will.

  • whats the differences between mormons and christians

  • god literally came down and told you to be mormon? hhahhaha yea right

  • @GusBimbela I really don't that was what he said. We each have very personal experiences which are just that.

  • Didn't Jesus preach loving everyone? Doesn't that include gay people? And don't come and say "oh I have lots of gay friends, and we're so close". Any philosophy that rejects people due to some aspect of themself that they were born with cannot claim to be universally accepting and loving.

  • @gahzeyboe actually yes we do love all people. It just doesn't mean we have to agree with everything they say.

  • I'm bored of youtube

  • blah, religion.i think we can handle peace and love without being associated with a religion these days. thank jebus for all the scientists that decided to not just believe the bullshit.

  • @wishingyouwerescene personally, I don't see a contradiction. I love both science and the spiritual side of life, they go together if you ask me.

  • @wishingyouwerescene Peace and love are not scientific concepts. That is philosophy, not science. And really, if science alone could handle that then the most scientifically progressive nations on the planet would be the ones not in wars, or in the LEAST wars, right? That doesn't seem to be the historical case. The exact opposite actually. The more scientific nations have just been able to develop ways of killing quicker.

  • So I have a couple of questions about mormonism. Do you guys believe in a heaven and hell or any sort of an afterlife and what is the way you get to heaven or go to hell.

    Thanks

  • @GodSavesisthetruth sure no problem, yes we believe in a life after this existence in mortality. We believe that Jesus Christ alone will judge us all and decide where we go in the next life and he will do so with absolute love and compassion, it will be more fair than we would even judge ourselves. If we lived by the teachings of Jesus Christ and followed his example we will be much the better in the world to come. If not, then not so much but God loves all of his children unconditionally.

  • @nicolesoverseas it is a red shoe lace that he uses for a belt...many skaters do that

  • ehmmm...0:54...is he wearing a red thong??? strange...

  • @nicolesoverseas good call. I believe it is a type of jock strap or support due to the fact that he needs to protect the family jewels so-to-speak. I can hardly blame him. I had a friend get injured quite badly skateboarding and this would've certainly helped.

  • @Veritatis101 Actually its a shoelace belt, you see it alot in skate videos and there is always a person claiming its a thong.

  • @Veritatis101 its a shoelace. Saketboarders use those as a belt because the dont pinch the skin when bending over.

  • @nicolesoverseas It is a red shoelace that he uses for a belt....lots of skaters where them

  • @nicolesoverseas its red shoe lace, skaters use it because the grip tape of the board rips the laces so we have an extra pair put were we place our belts.

  • @nicolesoverseas Ya you know them mormons..... they like them thongs

  • @nicolesoverseas It's a shoelace, he's using it as a belt

  • @nicolesoverseas it's his shoe tie belt....

  • @nicolesoverseas its a shoelace belt.

  • @nicolesoverseas I thought the exact same thing and was just about to post about this...

  • @nicolesoverseas i think you are crazy because dont see it

  • Whoa. I lab et.

  • To anybody that watches this, I want you to know that this is not an actor. I grew up with Josh, and what you see in this video is exactly the way he is. You'll never meet a more awesome, more honest, or more fun guy.

Josh, glad to hear you're doing well. Let me know if you ever make it to Raleigh.

    Charlie

  • @chuck061980

Ok chuck nice to hear that. But i dont even know what a Mormon is. Cheers!

  • "I think God gave us individuality for a reason, and he wants us to be who we are! I mean, unless you're gay. Then you're an evil gay sinner. And you're a Mormon."

  • @roninjoey if you knew the actual teachings and beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints you'd know that we don't consider anyone who may not be living according to the teachings of Jesus Christ evil. As a matter of fact, we believe just the opposite we teach to love all unconditionally. Saying because we do not agree with those who have a same-sex marriage agenda means we hate them is like a grade school bully trying to pick a fight. I have gay friends and love all the same.

  • @Veritatis101, dont the teachings of the church say that they will go to hell though?

  • @9529180 the teachings are the same for those who do anything that is against what Jesus Christ has taught. In the end it is only Jesus Christ who will judge each one of us. We don't believe in the traditional stereotypical so-called hell. We believe we create who we are to become in this life and this will carry on into the next life depending one where we feel most comfortable we will go there after being judged by our Judge even Jesus Christ. We believe he is a God of compassion and love.

  • @9529180 the truth is that we are the only ones that limit ourselves an in effect create our own so-called hell if you wish to call it that. What we do in this life echoes in eternity (anyone recognize the quote?;) my own little trivia, and does matter which is why what we do in what we call mortality matters. Otherwise, what is the point of coming to this earth if we aren't supposed to learn something from our experiences? This is one of our core beliefs.

  • @Veritatis101 Then you do not know the LDS religion. Nothing worse than an ignorant mormon. Love unconditionally? Have you ever read the BoM? Black skin cursed? Ever read Brigham Young? Get a clue, your an idiot

  • @IloveChrist2 well actually your username is an oxymoron for your comments considering Jesus Christ actually is about unconditional love and your bigoted, hateful comments are so loud I can't hear a word you are saying. Clearly you have read anti-Mormon porn that's what I call it because it is not about the truth it is about promoting hatred. Yes we have always taught to love unconditionally.

  • @IloveChrist2 We have always taught unconditional love of all races, cultures and all people including homosexuals, fornicators, adulterers, and those who don’t live or follow God’s commandments and this includes even those who we do not agree with for whatever reason. "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Jesus Christ (Matthew 25:40)

  • These commercials are just weird......why are Mormons spending so much money and effort trying to convince us they are something other than what they are?

  • @bustitup49 you just answered your own question with your own question and by the way they are not commercials they individuals who were willing to share their lives because of their love for the gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives. You claim what is represented is "something other than what they are" yet the truth remains that these are 100% genuine people with real problems and real challenges just like you. What makes you think we are so different than you?

  • @bustitup49 What are mormans because I'am morman huh?
