@srmh723 I am a massive fan of Xavi and I have been working on an extensive Valderrama compilation that I hope to post in the next three months or so, I cannot say that Valderrama was better with certainty, but Valderrama never really played with what I call a possession team.... Valderrama was not a player that enjoyed as many touches on the ball as Xavi, if he did, you would have heard a lot more from him.

@leadleader2023 As you see you did not see play valderrama and Colombia, if there was anything that identified this player and this selection was the possession of the ball, the difference is that Valderrama never had an opportunity of being in a Barcelona team like this today, I wonder if Xavier had been playing both shine in small teams? @vasari1969 I have all the matches of Valderrama with Colombia, therefore I have seen Valderrama play many times and I know what I'm talking about. Colombia was pretty good but not at the same level as Spain in terms of possession, Valderrama was world class, the forwards were not, and the rest of the team was quality but not at the same level of Valderrama. The Deportivo Cali games have been lost, in fact, Carlos Valderrama's entire club career is practically lost.

@leadleader2023 dude, dont say that, cause colombian team was named the favorite time for the wold cup of 90's 94's and also 98's. thats was a team better that the spain of now. the football how spain plays was cretaed by colombia, but was criticized for the lot of passes that they were doing.

La gente no se da cuenta de las cosas porque a Valderrama nunca le hicieron propaganda por sus pases pero lo que pasa es que Ronaldinho le aprendio a Valderrama a hacer esos pases y Xavi le aprendio a Ronaldinho. Que quiere decir eso? Que Valderrama es el creador de los pases "imposibles" y ahora Xavi los usa a la perfeccion. Quien ponia pases asi antes? Pele no, Maradona no, Zico no, Platini no. Pibe si! El comenzo con eso. Ronaldinho y Xavi se inspiraron en el Pibe.
