@intertooo Shanice is a much better singer than MC and her approach to whistling is more healthy than MC. So do put aside your biases when critiquing Shanice. She has been around much longer than MC and her voice has NOT suffer any damage due to false cord whistling as SHOWN in MC case! This is the BEST version other than Minnie's and MC would FAIL singing this as her whistles are too piercingly sharp and breathy to do it justice.

Shanice hits them very forced, and in these high notes that are not falsetto, her voice is too shrill... Carey's version is more natural, and that is a FACT... @intertooo You OBVIOUSLY do not know what is a FACT. To start MC at no time EVER recorded this song. The original singer was Minnie Riperton and that is a FACT! As for Leona, that is a version not even worthy of mentioning, as she sounds like a 12yo just learning to sing. Shanice is a incredible vocalist and you are out of place and surely LACKING to dare say otherwise! Other than Minnie, Shanice is the MOST trained and experienced singer around here - so learn FACT before you rant foolishness!

In my opinion, Riperton's one of the greatest voices in the history of music. You can't teach me anything about her that I don't know yet. She has been one of my fav singers for years.
