i was reading the comment and all was it was about how you think he actually cheated but if the projector is in front of him, how will he see from the shadow of his owns. So that make no sense. See i don't know much but there are alot of great artist out there and i know he is one. At least he can draw. I know that not everyone has that kind of talent and he has it all.

While he's being filmed he doesn't even look at the picture that he's "drawing" at the moment.

I'm not saying this b/c i'm a jealoux guy or smthn.

I'm a girl, and i think he's damn cute, but i don't think that he can draw shadows like that just by looking at a colored picture. I've seen a girl do it in free hand, but she STILL plays with the contrast on computer b-fore she paints it on canvas.

I don't have the time to make a video, but I can tell you he's not drawing in free hand. I think that he manipulates the picture on the computer just as I do, makes the shadows stand out and then he uses a projector to get the picture on canvas and draws the lines up with a pen. The lines are invisible on the video b/c they are grey and soft. And he's only films it when he draws the lines up with a black pencil.

That's how a lot of artists get their stuff on canvas, to be honest. I do all the time, whether on a lot board or with a projector. Doing a starkly contrasted picture like this, and getting it right, is all about drawing the right SHAPES, not the person, and it's hard to do without an outline. It's not cheating...I just want to spend more time working on painting than I do on drawing everything.

Whichever way you look at it, this stuff rocks.
