  • It sounded good then. And sounds great now!!!

  • Nu zondag op Genk on stage :)

  • sound of the 90´s... cooooool!!!

  • Saw them open for Sugar in 1994. They were a great live band.

  • @u000jeg

I saw the same tour. Velocity Girl was slotted in between.

Remains the best concert I've ever been to.

  • I saw the same tour as well. The Aragon Ballroom (The "Brawlroom") in Chicago. Great show.

  • Dudes,,and Chix.

this is one the greats guitar ..

    progressions...ever conceived..\

    and very tough,,to play

    and MOST ROCKING !!

    not to mention the BEAT.....

  • I used to be able to play the rhythm guitar part to this song. It sounded like he was sliding the chord, so that's how I played it. Love this song.

  • Everytime I " try " to play this song ..

I get carpal tunnell syndrome !!

    :)

  • In a guitar sense.... this song kicks a#$

    however,,

I could do without the pseudo sexuality ..

that's what killed my faith in this song

  • UH! I bought this on cassette! LOL Loved it!

  • oh memories¡, i have this cassette in my hands right now.

  • 3 min de musica basica .

  • I miss the 90s!

  • Love that Linda Hopper!

  • esto si es musica

  • So what clubs, extant and now gone, did these kids play when active in the musical wasteland of 90's Atlanta?

  • They played: The White Dot Masquerade The Little 5 Points Pub The Point The Earl The Star Bar 529 The 40 Watt Club (Athens) The Caledonia Lounge (Athens) ......and many more. They are still playing together and have begun booking tour dates for Europe for summer 2009.
  • This makes me happy!

  • it reminds me of my vacation lover 15 years ago!

  • GEWELDIG!!!! Na 14 jaar eindelijk de videoclip zien! Toen in Nighttown, SUPER!

  • Yeah was ook in Nighttown, long live the good old days ;)

  • love this song! one that my radio can't possibly play loud enough!

  • ah, yes..."hot boxing", produced by the great bob mould...what a record...

  • It certainly smacks of the Bob Mould high treble "Sugar" production treatment.

Not that I am complaining, just that I've always wanted a richer lower end in his recordings, particuarly considering his work with rather melodic bassists (Greg Norton, this includes you).

    ;)

  • hmmm...true...bob always tended towards the high end, even in the husker du days...but surely "black sheets" suits your taste for the bottom end...

  • I think Bob probably helped write this song., they toured alot together during this time

  • anybody got slowly slowly studio version?

  • It is now posted on their MySpace page.

  • wow, this song brings back so many memories of living in athens. hot boxing is probably my favorite magnapop record. slowly, slowly...

  • Best Atlanta rock band of all time, to this date.

Deerhunter, we know what you're capable of... man up!

  • this is the first time i saw that video..........say hello from PERU !!!!

  • Man I used to love this song. It made its way to many mix tapes of mine.

  • Rock on! Thanks!

  • I saw them in Red Bank, NJ at some tiny bar in the summer of 96. It was a very small crowd but they played their hearts out like it was a stadium full venue. Awesome show. I hope they release more music soon as I know they were working on a new album at the start of this year.

  • definitely more engaging musically than the majority of "alternative" era music.

  • I was in the front row when they opened for Sugar in Austin back in '94. Man, they had energy. I'll never forget how much blood was speckled on Ruthie Morris's guitar by the end of the show.

  • I <3 Linda Hopper! Magnapop was one of those cool bands that kinda flew just below the radar... anyway thanks for posting this one! This was the first song I heard from them a long time back on David Letterman.
