  • I read that you have to wait a DAY before removing the RC...

But can I use alcohol and then peel it of or...?

  • @Placophobia I peeled mine off staright away

  • what is this song called namewise?

  • Edward Scissorhands music.

  • I used mehron rigid c, I have found you get best results from a new fresh bottle. You could use kryolan rigid c , kryolan comes in a glass bottle which I think is better and lasts longer. Both are on the teampixie web site

  • I used mehron rigid c. I have found that you need

  • Does it has a side effect or is it bad for your skin? Any so not how long does it last?

  • I don't know about anywhere else but I live in the Nashville, TN area and we have a place called Performance Studios and they have Mehron Rigid Collodion there for $4 for 1 fl. oz.

  • and harry potter

  • peeling off collodion is not the best way to remove it. peeling works if you have a popped edge, but can also severily irritate the skin. you can use 99 % isopropyl alcohol to slowly break down the collodion. Or if you have dry skin, you can use a product called isopropyl myristate (spelling may be off), it works the same as 99% but has an oil in it to keep your skin from drying out. 99% can be found in pretty much any drug store, the myristate can useually be found at a veteranary supply place

  • you can also buy it from just about any costume, hobby, or magic shop that carries theatrical or film make-up supplies. video is great, but you are not the only supplier of rigid collodion.

  • I've seen how awesome this stuff is for lined scars, but I was curious for using it for something much smaller. Going vamp for halloween and I don't want one of those "bites" that are raised and look like bug bites with big holes in them (like scar putty or rubber glue-ons), I want an "old" bite. Think rigid collodion would do the trick?

  • What music is this? Seems familiar but I can't place it.

  • @TearfulShadows I'm pretty sure it's the Edward Scissorhands main theme song. Here: Near the end, you can hear the exact things that you can in this video

    /watch?v=NogOtenplCM

  • @DarkAlphabetZoup Ah cool thanks, about the other question, think it'd work for tiny 'indent' aged vamp bite scars?

  • @TearfulShadows they will look more like cigarette burns if you use collodion. But with some work, you could probably make them look

    pretty good.

  • .... Hearing this song brought back so many memories <3

  • Where can you buy Rigid Collodion?

  • @theSEVENFOLDisLIFE

you can get Rigid collodion from pixiedust fireworks and party

  • teampixie.co.uk

  • @theSEVENFOLDisLIFE If you live in the UK I would buy it from them out of appreciation, but if not, I suggest searching for "special effects makeup" or checking if your area has a year round costume shop.

  • S 4 S

  • Thank you for posting the tutorial, it has certainly helped.

  • what is the music i like it

  • @TheGrimsReaper

It's the theme song for Edward Scissorhands if I'm not mistaken? Or, the end song rather.

  • @leingod99 thank you i love you

  • The music -3

  • Where is a good place to get kryolan grease paint? And is there other make ups that will give a good effect?

  • does rc only work on the face, can i make scars on my arms, chest etc?

  • @gurparshad96 Yes, it works on any skin.

  • Thanks so much! I've wanted to do a realistic scar for a character called Kenshin at the next convention I'm going to.

  • @PraiseDivineMercy I too was looking for something for a convention. Tyki Mikk from D.Gray-man. Now I know what to use. Good luck with Kenshin

  • @editercora Thanks. It actually turned out great! I freaked out one of my roommates and some of the photographers asked for closeups! It's also really durable.

Good luck on Tyki's. FYI, makeup does not adhere to the collodion as much. This can be a good thing for letting scars stand out after you apply powder, but for Tyki, you'll want to put the facepaint all over that area first.

  • @PraiseDivineMercy Thank you for the advice, I will most certainly follow it. And the luck is appreciated. Just out of curiosity does anyone know if there is a clear coating that can be applied to allow the makeup to adhere better? (Just in case touch ups are needed)

  • lol, the nice music really contracts with those horrific indentations, awesome work!

  • What is the easiest way to remove RG? Besides peeling it off

  • Their is no easy way, Peeling it of is the only one i know.

  • @Diibomb Alcohol or SPIRIT REMOVER :)

  • @Diibomb spirit gum remover

  • @Diibomb I've heard you can use spirit gum remover to help (in making peeling it off easier).

  • @Diibomb I haven't tried this, but a professional makeup remover such as Agent X or Isopropyl myristrate or even baby oil. Agent X will remove pros-aide, so if anything would work, it would. you can get it at fxwarehouse.info along with the other products. But, I haven't tried using these on rigid collodion, so who knows.

  • @rnrcool if it removes pros-aide it will remove collodion.

  • @Diibomb Spirit gum remover or acetone.

  • @Diibomb Spirit Gum remover

  • pixie portal can you use liquid latex as aa substitute for rc

  • omg, never seen a scar like this ever, how ace is the rigid conandrum business!! wow. x

  • What a great vid!! The end result is fantastic, I also loved the music, and thanks for the mention! xxx
